    i bought the C700P Black Edition the other day. it really is *_so massive_* . when i saw the packaging i thought "i can use this box as a table when i'm done with it". would be a nice upgrade to the vacuum cleaner box that i currently use

    I have had my c700p for 3yrs now. My wife picked this case out for her gaming pc build and with 2 thick 360 rads and gpu cpu water blocked its a heavy beast! But i love this case!

    That's some pretty loud dB's. My R5 with an 88mm cpu fan ran around 35 dB. When I changed to the BeQuiet Silent 280 AIO and 8 140mm fans, my case dropped to 13 idle and 20 full load. I'd expect more for that price point. Gorgeous case with a lot of options for watercooling. Needs clear glass for my UV lighting. It would look awesome on my desk though...matches the grey steel and smoked glass tops perfectly.

    There are not many options when you need a Bluray burner drive inside. C700P & C700M are both big and both have ODD bay. The only thing that sucks (aside from price) is the limitation of the top radiator size when ODD is installed.

      What is stoneage about the inside? In contrast to the typical sleek, edgy RGB bullshit this thing has useful space above and next to the motherboards. Means you can also fit Hybrid E-ATX boards, if you have certain boards in mind that are not the typical cheap 250$ stuff with pseudo doubled phases on their VRMs. A bit exaggerated, but you get what i mean. But mostly this does not only have space for big Radiators 3 sides, but has enough distance to the motherboard from that locations. So you can even use AIOs that come much closer to the quality of a custom waterloop rather than burning 150€ for an AIO whose center is around RGB and a fucking asetek pump, instead of quality components. And even with that, you could put in a 5,25'' drive for people who dont want to get assraped by win10 and want an easy installation of win7 on modern z390 chipsets. This case is fully modular and can fit different AIrflow paradigms, while beeing not fully ugly. The only downside of this case is the price.

    • @sadeqalbana
      @sadeqalbana 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think 11 3.5 drives are enough
      if you want something that fits more and reasonably priced you can pick the Corsair 750D
      it comes with 2 Drive cages (3 Drives each) but you can buy another two cages separately (~10$ each) to fit 12 Drives, that's aside from the four 2.5 inch bays.
      if you want even more you can buy 3x5.25 inch to 5x3.5 inch cage
      that's 17x3.5 inch + 4x2.5 = 21 drives !

  • @StalewindFarto
    @StalewindFarto 7 ปีที่แล้ว +17

    The Corsair Slate at the rumored 550.00 seems like a bargain, while this at 300.00 comes off about a hundred too high.

    • @Najvalsa
      @Najvalsa 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      More like $150 too high I'd say, when you compare it to the $180 Phanteks Enthoo Luxe TG, or the $220 be quiet! Dark Base Pro 900.

    • @StalewindFarto
      @StalewindFarto 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It has more features than my 570 so I'd say it's worth at least 20 to 50 dollars more with the curved glass, inverted board option, RGB everywhere case and more. It's a little ugly to me, but it does have a corvette stingray aesthetic to it with all the plastic. It just seems to me like 200 is the lowest this guy could be, and maybe aught to be.

    • @Najvalsa
      @Najvalsa 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Check your MB with this case as not all MB can facilitate the 4 USB 3.0 on the front. Found out the hard way with Gigabyte's z390 Aorus master.
    Only allowed 2 USBs at the front due to only one USB 3.0 header. Could use the USB 3.1 header with a converter cable to USB 3.0 but wanted that
    USB 3.1 for fast charge. So all in all Coolermaster C700P has a design flaw with most current boards. The 4 USBs on the front are for show only by the look of it. If not they should have highlighted this fact.
    Pissed off

    300 Bucks ? For that kind of money I would look at Case Labs. Heavy Duty Cases have their place but such cases use very few plastic pieces if any. The same can be said for curved tempered glass. I wonder what is the replacement cost for the side panel. To repeat what I said at the outset for 300 bucks and 70 lbs I would expect lots of metal with a solid reinforced design and construction.

    • @crimsun7186
      @crimsun7186 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      IMO, this is in no way a substitute for the Cosmos S2 Extreme. That case was heavy (~50 pounds) and had noise dampening and tons of places to mount coolers, drives etc. It was a case where you set your pc inside, put the case in one place and just leave it there quietly.

    October 10th is the day a good cm case comes to market. Just wait until then if you want a new case, otherwise get something else on the market.
    They just need to let the cosmos series die. Like you said, this case is not bad, but its expensive (too expensive personally), and it just does not offer that much for the price. The curved tempered glass is a waste, and probably cost a lot, the metal panels behind the glass negate the point of the glass, Why there are even 5.25 drive bays I don't want to know.
    A few things they could have done to decrease price (and make it worth buying) no curved glass, not include any fans (thats 45 bucks off the case, since no one who buys this will use those fans). Where the curve would be, add meshed ventalation, which would increase airflow (like the h500p), make the psu shroud go across the entire bottem (so when you remove the other metal piece, it doesn't look like you sawed off a third of the shroud).
    If they had just made this a mastercase 7 instead of a cosmos case, they could have fixed a lot of issues by not forcing themselves down a really expensive and unappealing design path. Well when this case does not sell at all (like the enthoo elite, but im pretty sure those are built to order) they will learn not to make cosmos cases again.
