    Dmitri, this video could have been DOUBLE in length and I would have still been in awe. The Cosmos cases have always been some of my favorites and I really do miss having one at my home. Thankfully, they made this one even better than the previous versions in some ways. No case is perfect and especially at 400 BIG ones, WOW!
    And, lastly. Glad, this case got a HWC award. It's definitely an innovative case.
    Thank you, Dmitry and keep the videos coming.

  • @nates9105
    @nates9105 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Honestly a perfect system and case! The amount of customization means that this case can carry any and all of your future builds without the need to purchase a new case for many years to come. The carry support means that case is less likely to become damaged when moving, the filters in the front are fantastic for filtering dust and has great looking aesthetics, and the GPU angle is a fun touch for display. With the GPU angle if you use a water cooled GPU you shouldn't run into much heating problems since the water is redirecting heat away from the interior of the case leaving more air for the CPU. You could run a completely air cooled CPU without much difficulties as we should all know that GPUs kick out lots of heat so this is a perfect case for optimizing everything.

  • @gamenicity5905
    @gamenicity5905 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This case ticks all the boxes. USB 3 type-c, tempered glass, front facing i/o, mesh, dust filters, room for a CPU air tower cooler, RGB lighting options, and plenty of room for fans/airflow. After weeks of research for a case that would fit a new eatx z390 or x570 MB with 9900k or 3900x CPU and with proper airflow
    cooling. I finally found the case for my new build. Thanks for sharing your review for this case much appreciated!!

    So... its major flaw is that it’s expensive? How is that a flaw? Saying it has a “major flaw” suggests something is wrong with it, something that cooler master did wrong that impedes the intended functionality in some way. A price is subjective and only matters if you cannot afford it...that is not a flaw that is called the way that planet earth works in the 21st century.
    I suppose lamborghinis, ferraris, professionally geared top tier firearms, luxury housing is all majorly flawed due to them being very expensive 🤦‍♂️
    I really hope thats not what you are on about because you werent very clear on what the flaw is... if you are calling the molex connector and more challenging than average cable management a major flaw you are grossly over exaggerating and nitpicking.

      Zhangir Duiseke I agree on your view though on a practical standpoint the Evolv X certainly beats this C700M. Really just about what floats your boat actually. C700M seems more aesthetically oriented, focusing on the aesthetics than the practical aspects, whilst Phanteks has a balance on aesthetics and practicality.

      Yes I have the same Evolv X and love it, My second build I went ahead and got the Cosmos C700m , Im using the new Asus thor 1200, and modified the shroud and bracket at my brothers machine shop, came out awesome. Im a sucker for RGB and I love my phantek since the whole thing is pretty much metal. But Having 2 2080's I love the Cosmos , it does have more plastic . But this thing turned out awesome and now they are 379.00 no tax free shipping on ebay. Brand new. I used inwin which i also love. Something about this cosmos c700m . just love it. but also my phantek. I think the mods i did with the cosmos , just so i can see the asus thor led display and lights, Just cool. something Cooler master should have did in the first place. But like i said i love rgb. the handles are good aluminum so if they made everthing aluminum on this case would have been way to heavy. Just right , my opinion. If the evolx X was as big as the cooler master I would Have loved it. I love Computer Hardware and All the new stuff that comes out , and I always mod it. to where it looks like something like factory. Glad to see other people like yourself like the Evolv X also.

And when people over there get upset after spending $400+ on a case that doesn't work as advertised, Cooler Master kicks them off the forum.

    I have own case and I like it a lot. It is a very well made product. The only issue I have is I couldn't fit the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420mm AIO on the top. I had to mount it on the side. Not a problem but the case does advertise a 420mm liquid cooler to fit on top or the side. Other than that this is a quality product.

    This case is way to big. I have the Cosmos 1000 and the C700M Dwarfs the Cosmos 1000 Plus I only paid $199 for the Phantek Evolv X and it has as much space for HDD, SDD's Than the Cosmos C700M , just no space for DVD Drive, Which I am ok with as an external one can be purchased. Phantek Can hold 9 SSDs and 10HDD and still looks like half the size of the C700m and Excellent LED on the Phantek as well.
    In My Phantek Evolv X - I installed an Asus X299 Deluxe ii Motherboard, Asus Rog Strix 2080Ti 2.7 inch slot GPU , 6 Corsair QL140 MM Fans. 4 10TB Drives 4 SSD Drives and 3 NVME M.2 Drives and still have plenty of space to add more drives in a midsize case and space for a Mini ATX Set up on top of case as well, Now that is Crazy.

    Honestly, if I was making anything in this price bracket (Which I'm not and probably never will be), I would probably just get a Corsair 1000D. For the extra $60 you can put a whole extra mITX system in there as well, also I think the 1000D looks better. (Don't get butthurt, it's just my opinion)
    EDIT: I wrote 100D instead of 1000D, so fixed that.

    I agree it would be best to ship without fans. The ARGB front panel could've been better if they'd made a frosted acrylic faceplate, to swap out the aluminium shield (like the top cover), allowing RGB fans as well as the strips. My biggest gripe, however, is a lot of the component options for Chimney and Inverted layouts feel rushed; particularly with the GPU bracket for diagonal placement...
    If CM had delayed the case's launch until Jan 2019, they could've fixed all these issues without anyone being the wiser. Instead, they obviously didn't want to spend the time and money to make it flawless.

    Take your best modder on youtube and have them build you a similar case and see how much time and money goes into it. Build your own case that looks this good. Could be a nice case. Needs some design changes. Needs to have glass both sides, needs to have the venting pattern on front as well as top, needs a better fan/rgb controller system, all the excess holes need cleaned up ( even if that locks in the default layout) the other layouts are crap anyway. Plastic panels need removed. My Evolv X fixes most of whats wrong with the coolermaster for a lot lower price. So emm yeah...

    It finally looks like a solid effort by CM. I like it. I doubt I would go for the angled GPU mounting due to the giant hole you have to create in the back to accommodate the display cables. It looks like they've done a good job refining their inversion process too. But I do think they still have a ways to go to get to the level of cases like the BeQuiet Dark Base Pro 900. And the price? Holy crap, that's expensive. It's a nice case, but I don't think it's at the level of being worth more than the BeQuiet Dark Base Pro 900. And certainly not by as much as $190. Especially when you consider the DBP900 has some of the best build quality out there (so it'll easily stack up against this from a build perspective) and the DBP900 comes with x3 BeQuiet Silent Wings 3 fans which are very high quality and cost about $25 each, making the actual cost of the DBP900 case close to the $175 mark. I would throw out those CM fans. I wouldn't throw out the SW3's. Which is something I would think is important to consider you're working out how much you're getting for your money.
    The reason I'm comparing this to the DBP900 is because it's the closest analog for comparison when judging this case. I like the C700M, but I do think it's far too over priced compared to the competition. It's nice, but what does it really have that the DBP900 doesn't? Exterior RGB integration and a funky new way of mounting your GPU. But that's about it. Plus junk fans and no sound dampening material, unlike the DBP900. Aesthetics are subjective and I really like the aesthetics of both cases. But I can not find it in me to justify the extortionately higher price tag of the C700M over the just as good, if not better in some regards DBP900.

    I'm glad that there seems to be cases out there to meet everyone's wants and needs. With that said, I don't particularly like this case. Weighs a bit much and the price is out of line for me too. It's not aesthetically pleasing to me either. I guess if you have to have the case on your left and you want to be able to see the motherboard then this case might be what you're looking for.

    9:05 FINALLY! I've always wondered about this style of an orientation. Basically taking the case, and rotating it 45 degrees so that you would have intake fans at the bottom, and exhaust fans at the top. While this is not 100% what I would have liked to see (personally), I'm GLAD that a case manufacture decided to take the first step at implementing this design. Something that may help with that overall design would be to move the power supply to its respective area (keeping in mind rotating the entire case 45 degrees), some cable extensions for the I/O along with an I/O panel at the rear. This would also require some extra space up top so that you could mount additional fans. Said cable extensions for the I/O should have a 45 degree male end to plug into the motherboards I/O panel to help with cable management vs top mounted fans. I know you are not a case manufacture, but I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos! I will also note that I USUALLY do not post on videos, but this case definitely has me excited to see what comes next!!!

    Excellent review! My only issue is the lack of tint on the the. It'd be nice to blackout your build by simply shutting all internal RGB off. Do they offer the option of clear OR tinted glass, when ordering?? I don't mind getting the H500 without tint, but the front panel of this case screams dark tint!! I don't see the point in not going full hard loop inside this huge chassis, even running a single res/dual rad configuration with a phanteks glacier r220 for added passive cooling. I'm surprised it doesn't come with dual 200mm front fans though. Still, looks like a fun box to build in. 😎😎😎

    Click baity title much?
    Anyway, I do absolutely LOVE this case, and, in due time, I'll eventually have the coin saved up to put together a true all-star system with a case on this level - and, frankly, one very likely from Cooler Master if they keep it up, because I feel like they seem to get abnormally harsh & picky reviews about their most recent VERY impressive & legitimately innovative offerings. Surely a lingering result of GN Steve's absolutely over the top H500P review(I wonder why they've removed its temperature results from their more recent case tests? Probably because, after the list really filled out, the H500P actually fell dead nuts in the middle of it, a resounding 'AVERAGE', which can be seen on earlier reviews that still included its results in the list...). But, I digress...
    Now, as far as the review itself is concerned and the way that the more recent HC case reviews seem to be going, I can't help but be a bit... I don't know, annoyed I guess, by how nit picky these have seemingly gotten. As someone who has built quite a few systems for myself & others in a variety of cases over the years(my most recent system being in an In Win 303, with outstanding temperatures with the fans laid out as In Win prescribes - I REALLY wish you guys would make a correction, annotation, something to the 301[IIRC...] review where you dinged the air flow/temps with the WRONG fan layout - easy mistake, but still...), so much of the nit picky stuff that consumes quite a bit of screen time just does not turn me off to a lot of these contemporary, feature packed(it ain't 2011 anymore!), over all high quality cases. I'm not saying don't mention, nor am I saying that things like the Molex powered, poorly located fan hub(it really does stand out as a "what the hell were they thinking" move here) don't matter, but it just really feels like that nit picky stuff just takes up a larger percentage of the review time than it should be getting, like some of it is just a bit blown out of proportion I guess. There's major failings, and then there's just very minor 'head scratchers' that, in the big picture, just wouldn't bother me all that much, especially given what one puts up with with downright CHEEAAAP budget cases that are inexcusable even at THOSE price points.
    Anyway, I'm certainly not trying to be harsh or overtly negative if that's how it sounds, rather it's just some well intentioned constructive criticism: just a little more balance in these case reviews, more time spent on the truly meaningful features and/or problems, less time on the largely inconsequential, forgettable points without eliminating their mention at all, if that makes any sense.
    Just a little more balance. And, maybe a bit less click baity title as well(I THINK the "...Major Flaw!" is the somewhat lacking cable management features? ...I guess?)

    There is something about this case that troubles me... it's just like something is not right. Maybe the experimentation posibilities?. Dmitri did a great work showing the capabilities of this case but looks that some applications are not quite finished. The gpu positioning, for example.. you can angle the bracket but the i/o access is just so weird, same with the vertical positioning. I don't know, maybe youcan do great things with this case but for me, looks like isn't well polished. I don't feel the same with the evolve X, that case is great.

    It seems like they tried a bunch of new stuff and ideas, especially with the GPU placement, but didn't really think them through. I think with some better solutions for the cable routings, for external cables, it could work. Like, placing a backplate IO port, which then has cables on the inside to attach to the GPU. Could still be tricky with cable management, but would probably be a better solution.
