The funny thing is that when iPhone used to give real colors, everyone preferred the iPhone than the other colorful cameras samples. Now everyone is in love with colorful pictures from the iPhone compared with the much realistic one
I prefer the P30 Pro for both day time and night time pictures. During the day it has much more natural colors and greater detail. I like natural pictures because they represent the scene and because it's much easier to edit them if needed. At night the P30 Pro captures so much light which gives the pictures great clarity with good details and little noise. Huawei's processing is also better at preserving shadow and highlight detail. Edit: I'm usually not interested in video recording, but I must say the P30 Pro to my surprise kind of dominated? The iPhone has way too high contrast during day time and yet again makes the sky blue when it shouldn't be. At night it's no competition, the P30 Pro has less noise (apart from the sky which is black on the iPhone) and much greater shadow detail. The audio is the biggest win for the P30 Pro, it's so much better. The only negative thing I noticed about the P30 Pro was that it went out of focus very briefly after running. The stabilisation also appeared to be better on the iPhone at first until I noticed the exposure was flickering when running, so I prefer the P30 Pro yet again. The front facing video on the iPhone overexposed the sky to the point of clipping. The iPhone looks to be the winner of selfie photos though, so I guess it really is the better instagram phone with good selfies and unatural photos, while the P30 Pro is a proper camera phone. Remember that we haven't even looked at the RAW photos yet where the P30 Pro would do even better, or compared the zoom and macro capabilities.
There are 3 colors modes available in the photo app on the P30 Pro. And for the wide angle, it is just the luminosity that needs boosting a bit. P30 pro is the better camera phone. The iPhone is for wannabes

I own currently a P30 Pro, but i ordered the Iphone 11...I mean it has more security and privacy, after i switch from my Iphone 7 to P30 Pro i didnt feel safe anymore. Camera is something where Huaweii is better some point.
Excellent comparison! Just what I was looking for. My Huawei p30 pro still put too much yellow in the pictures - did I miss out on an update? Anyway, I think the Iphone has better contrast but of course the high pixel cameras and the objective zoom is nice for the Huawei.
Software updates do not improve camera's physical performance, only the hardware can determine performance. These Huawei p30 pro is equipped with 4 cameras, 3 rear facing with the primary camera engineered by Leica has a 40 megapixel resolution. That beets Google's 12 megapixel camera by aeons. That camera is not selected by default and must be initiated in settings, and even with the "lower" 20 megapixel resolution camera will obviously outperform the iPhone again not only because of the higher resolution but because they are engineered by Leica. Any photographer knows that Leica is the benchmark in cameras since the beginning of time lol. Any editing software can brighten up a picture to make it look smoother and clearer but it's just an optical illusion and in fact lowers resolution to make appear clearer.
Guys, use the Pro mode and set the ISO on highest (400k), on Huawei p30 pro. Use the 10mp resolution with the main camera to be able to use the 400k ISO.Use it like that on fully darkness (only a weak candle or something like that doing a little light) and compare it to the iPhone 11.
@@RedskullPro me :). You can own the mother-of-the-dslr but you ain't get the brightness you get when you use p30 pro's highest ISO. You may try that and compare it with other camera-focused phones like oneplus 7t pro or Nokia 9
iPhone blew it away imo. I feel like P30 Pro's auto mode is mediocre, while it's Pro mode is great. It produces huge 70MB 40mp RAW files that are great to work with. It tried too hard to be a DSLR, and it failed being the best point and shoot cam. (P30 Pro user here, btw)
The iPhone's smartHDR is the winner here in my book. But P30 pro has a more feature rich camera app. You can do things like light painting etc straight from the default camera app. Really like both phones. :)
Seems like Huawei Downgraded P30 pro's camera It was not that bad as it seems in sample now... I used it for 8 months as well before buying my current note 10+ three months ago
The P30 Pro was much better in the normal day and night photos. I guess the iPhone 11 was barely better in the wide shots. The video tests were barely distinguishable. The night video was better on the P30 Pro.
For me iPhone wins I definitely prefer the iPhone better colours and better HDR and pleasing to look at. But don’t get me wrong p30 not a bad camera. I do like the night mode on p30
Wow,the P30 Pro got worse i think.Hope they can fix that in the next update. In my Mate20 Pro,Emui10 improve the camera a bit,especially at night with better colours,but on the other hand,i think that now it uses more battery 😅. Great video as usual,but i miss you Mustang :(
You need to restart your phone then do what you did when you first bought it,stop all the google crap and apps running in the background,make it more energy efficient. That’s what they are saying anyway.

I was a iphone user for 3 years , I was happy about it, but the updates made it slow, and the battery was going so fast empty update for update, now I use a Huawei p30 pro, and im more happy about than the iPhone and it makes the better photos in day and in night, I prefer the Huawei p30 pro, and never buy a iphone again

Chi Asmr what iPone do you own, a 4s? The iPhones from 2018 and 2019 belong to one of the best cameras on a smartphone. With all respect, but the picture quality of the S9 is not that good. Samsung made a big step last year with the S10 and the Note 10 and these are one of the best, but not the S9 in my opinion.

The downside of emui 10 is worse auto mode and night mode but the pros of emui 10 are much better video quality, better pro mode, a bit better zoom and better night pictures on auto mode and not night mode
Actually even during daytime some pictures had better detail on p30 pro and during the night time same it was clear which of the phones has better sharpness etc the 30pro has much better contrast and blacks compared to the iPhone you can clearly see the bricks etc and the graffiti on the wall looked much better on P30pro then the iPhone although the iPhone during the day did have amazing sky pictures meaning if you were taking something like a beautiful landscape the iPhone would have won without any editing of color saturation etc but after editing etc I believe the iPhone would have lost against P30pro mainly due to the amount of detail it takes and the sharpness of the camera.

Very difficult most of the normal photos I prefer the Huawei because of color the iPhone has a tint in the day light shots.(blue and greenish) The ultrawide i prefer the Iphone Video iPhone but still a bit to punchy on the color . Night photos i dont care phones are not good for night photos. Had to watch it again and I think the Iphone camera looked better a couple of months ago. It looks like Samsung(daylight) pic and the portrait mode is way to agressive like the pixel almost . On the video part it now brighten the shadows to much.
Andreas Bergen that’s funny because I found most of the pictures of the P30 too dark and with a magenta hue. Night pictures from the P30 has a greenish hue. It’s just personal preference.
For me this was almost a tie but in most of scenarious the p30 did the job well 2:36, 3:02 ... as an example and in the night most of the fotos he tooked look like he didn´t clean the p30 lents or didn´t take time to focus what made bad. I mean it was called the night king and the photos he showed don´t show the real power of that phone. Broh just look at the 4:31 we got nautral colors on the p30 and the oversatured colors in the iphone. Look at the 4:34 ... And for that reasons i can tell that he´s an apple guy and that what made the comparioson look unfair Edit: And he even mentioned the audio. The P30 won that one and Litereraly the Iphone sucks and he didn´t wanted to meantion. it and in 8:04 The voice of disappointment when he realized he can see more on the p30 than on the iphone Once again These comparison was unfair. The p30 pro does over soften and sharpen. Given I've switched over from p30 pro I miss the battery life but it's not worth the image quality compromise vs the promising results with iPhone. Plus I can us my moment lenses with the phone too.
P30 pro with it's far better hardware doesn't depend on software as much as the auto snappers in the iPhone and say a pixel....for me the photo quality of the p30 pro has more of a stand alone camera like quality to them, my preferred smartphone camera for sure. iPhone and pixel cameras are really good though.
I just feel that the P30 Pro did much better for pictures when it was first released.. the video quality wasn't great back than and it has been improved a lot with EMUI 10...but at the same time the picture quality has decreased a bit

Lol are you joking? The night time pictures are night and day, absolutely amazing how my phone lit up a country lane in pitch dark and the surrounding fields,even spotted cows in the field, take into account the place was in total darkness only a few stars out no street lighting at all. Impressed.

yeah, the iPhone does really good for video, but I have to say that the video quality has improved a lot on the P30 Pro. It was bad before
I sold my p30 pro and buy iPhone 11 because the camera and video. Best decision for me but I miss the ultra charger

The p30 pro does over soften and sharpen. Given I've switched over from p30 pro I miss the battery life but it's not worth the image quality compromise vs the promising results with iPhone. Plus I can us my moment lenses with the phone too.

P30 pro with it's far better hardware doesn't depend on software as much as the auto snappers in the iPhone and say a pixel....for me the photo quality of the p30 pro has more of a stand alone camera like quality to them, my preferred smartphone camera for sure. iPhone and pixel cameras are really good though.
I just feel that the P30 Pro did much better for pictures when it was first released.. the video quality wasn't great back than and it has been improved a lot with EMUI 10...but at the same time the picture quality has decreased a bit
@@RedskullPro that's a shame because mines still on emui 9 and photo quality is phenomenal. You're the only one to let us know whether or not the image quality has changed with emui 10 so thanks for that. Keep up the good work 👍

night time video quality sucks on p30, it looks like its the same for every android....
yeah...but the iphone isn't any better. It has to do with the small sensor... can't capture enough light
Lol are you joking? The night time pictures are night and day, absolutely amazing how my phone lit up a country lane in pitch dark and the surrounding fields,even spotted cows in the field, take into account the place was in total darkness only a few stars out no street lighting at all. Impressed.
