Not that big of a difference, if not sometimes I even prefer the 11 in some shots. Both good, but I wouldn't upgrade from the 11 to the 12 just by the camera difference, unless you really need that better low light.
My 8 plus died, I need to buy a phone. According to price/quality which one would u recommend me? iPhone 11 at 660 dollars or iPhone 12 at 915 dollars.

Tho for me being a tech geek the amoled screen and thinner bezels, better design might be still worth it on the 12. I might still go with 12 if budget permits. For non enthusiast tho the 11 still good enough.

Main Camera to be honest, is very similar, Seriously! Only slight difference is in UW camera, night mode & now overall colors being more saturated in skies , Greens etc in iPhone 12
Cameras are exactly the same. The only difference is upgraded software on 12, which could be easily provided for 11 and XR if Apple would be little bit less greedy.

The Microphone on the 12 is worse than on the 11. The iPhone 12 now definitely looks more like a downgrade in battery and microphone compared to the 11.

iphone 11 video both front facing and back facing camera is better. Photos pretty much the same. The only , let's say "big" difference is the night mode . Otherwise iphone 12 is just a refined iphone 11. Great vid !!!
the nightmode in all the camera, it can easily be fixed with a software update. but apple deliberately decided not to include that on the iphone 11 to keep it as a feature for iphone 12. even midrange androids have nightmode photos in all cameras.
Agreed, and colours are more natural, sometimes there's more detail. Only software processing improved, otherwise these new Chinese sensors would be left in the dust behind the Sony sensors found in the iPhone 11. Disappointing.

Well...the iPhone 12 films in HDR... so if you watch the HDR footage on a HDR screen... it looks better. Unfortunately... I can't edit HDR and non-HDR videos in the same video...so the videos lose the HDR capabilities ...
I returned a 12 Pro lately because compared to the 11 Pro, it's main lens was softer ( less sharp ), produced an orange tint and processing removed details from skin and this could not be turned off or reversed. The iphone 12 removes so much control and decision making from the user it's unusable. In your video, I can see the same issues affecting the iphone 12. It's less sharp and more orangey in many shots and pops less than the iphone 11. Yes the iphone 12 is better in low light but that's no good if overall performance is compromised.
I felt the same way about the photos taken by the 12 Pro I got several months ago. Gave up on it and went back to my 8 Plus, which I find produces much more realistic photos.

So, the audio for recording video is better on the iphone 11, seriously? I don't normally take night pics especially now that a lot of places are closed and when I do I use the flash so the upgrade from 11 is definitely not worth it
How did you get such good pictures on your iPhones, I went and bought an iPhone 11 after seeing your video, but the pictures I took on the camera were just horrible. They were very grainy, and not clear. On other pictures the colours where very faded. My kitchen is white and the picture came out yellow I was so disappointed I returned the phone the next day.
Daytime photos and videos have seemingly hit a plateau since at least the iPhone XS. The obvious, immediately noticeable camera improvements seem to be in low light only. Didn't expect the 27% larger sensor to improve the low light recording so much. Look forward to seeing how much the 12 Pro Max's 47% bigger sensor does in low light.
Yeah, that was the biggest change the low light videos. I want that Pro Max for that reason as well...but I don't know if I can spend that much on it... I think i'm gonna stay with this one
Tbh I think voice was heard better in iPhone 11 videos in many moments , even when yoi were recording at 4k30fps and later at 4k60fps with the main lens , I own an iPhone 11 and its great , great camera , great video capabilities and will last for few years for sure 😄 , Great comparison by the way , doing a good job 👏🏻

Its not even close, night mode is handled way better, colour realism, less saturated and better video quality and even with main camera night pictures are better.
In my opinion, Iphone 11 is better in audio all the time. Iphone 12 is better at night with photos and videos. It doesn't pay to migrate from 11 to 12.
Thanks for quality content! IMO, iPhone 12 has advantage only in night mode. The reasons to upgrade from iPhone 11 can be the size of iPhone 12 mini, progress in night mode and OLED screen.

It's always hard comparing photos via a video service like TH-cam which, no matter the rez, will always offer some compression. As a designer and semi-pro photographer, most of the differences I can spot here are so subjective, I think a minor tweak in Photoshop or Lightroom could correct for any slight shifts. In looking at the photo of the girl with the yellow sweater, at 0:45, there appears to be more detail in the iPhone 11 shot. I haven't watched the whole video yet, but am assuming both cameras have the same resolution sensor for portrait, so I find this strange. Now, in the same paused shot comparison, I think the difference comes down to camera focus area, as the hair cresting at the widow's peak looks slightly sharper on the 12, while on the 11, the sweater is sharper and more detailed. Lastly, if I have to judge shots while on-the-go, how much better of a visual preview is the 12's screen going to offer me over the 11? I realize on paper the 12 has the superior screen for that function, but I'd love to compare these two shots on their native devices.

Man i see you everywhere complaining just about iphones. Wow the background wobbles just a tiny bit when the ois is doing work compared to the competition? Ok but what about other things like dynamic range,colors,noise reduction etc which are unmatched and the fact that all cameras can record 4k 30 and 60 fps when even the way more expensive note 20 ultra can’t do it?
@@DravkatRakhmonessis the background wobbles is bad, its not just a tiny bit. 4k 60 is good but most people just pick up the phone and start recording usually in 1080p, im not sure theyre going to fill their storage with 4k 60, especially on iphones that arent expandable. colors is subjective. im not sure of which phone has a bad noise reduction. most flagship phones have good dynamic range, samsung gives you extra pro video ability where you can adjust how you want, like a real dslr camera.

Hi, I have just noticed that when I look at some picture I did and I tap on “modify”, the picture get more bright when I am into the modify menù. This only happens with taken pictures, so not with screenshots or received photos. Do you know why is that? I have an iPhone 12.
Because the phone has more information about the pictures it took. Screenshots not so much, however you can still edit screenshots manually using the built in photo editor or apps like snapseed

so basically 11&12 have the same perfomance on camera except night mode, same 4gb RAM, A14 does not have huge upgrade compare with A13 and most of the places in my country does not support 5G yet maybe I shall consider iPhone 11 or even wait for iPhone 13?
Yes, you're right most of the pictures are identical and there are pictures that favors the other depending on the angle. But in general the 12 still has an advantage. So if you have an iPhone 11 no need to upgrade unless your pocket is full and want to experience the new form factor and the selfie camera. I have an o ld iPhone 8+ so definitely I'm getting the 12.
Thanks for this video. I noticed that the microphone is better on the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 12 has flatter skin tones. If you're into more contrasty images, the iPhone 12 might not be worth it.
I'm just curious. Does NeuralCam work for the ultra wide and selfie lens on the iPhone 11? For night time video I don't think any of them where particularly good even though the 12 is better. I mean, if you're into that kind of stuff the 12 pro max is probably worth it. I'm really looking forward for results from that phone. Too me I think I´d either go with the iPhone 12 mini or the 12 pro max. Those in between feels a bit "meh". Either you go all in, or you cheap out. :p
Is the bitrate lower on the iPhone 12 videos? I feel like they're more heavily compressed, especially with the front facing camera, as they appear to have less detail despite having the same sensor and a better chipset.

I am trying to make a decision between 11 and 12 based on image stabilization while shooting videos. I record a lot videos while moving around. good point. bro i recently had an iphone and wanted to torrent movies no utorrent lol. i gave that phone out in less than a month. i couldnt even move my mp3s from my android to the iphone just through bluetooth. i need itunes and long process. im not sure how people think iphone is easy to use. lol.

Indoors phones don't do great :) You need a lot of light...like a lot

Its not even close, night mode is handled way better, colour realism, less saturated and better video quality and even with main camera night pictures are better.

In my opinion, Iphone 11 is better in audio all the time. Iphone 12 is better at night with photos and videos. It doesn't pay to migrate from 11 to 12.

Thanks for quality content! IMO, iPhone 12 has advantage only in night mode. The reasons to upgrade from iPhone 11 can be the size of iPhone 12 mini, progress in night mode and OLED screen.

It's always hard comparing photos via a video service like TH-cam which, no matter the rez, will always offer some compression. As a designer and semi-pro photographer, most of the differences I can spot here are so subjective, I think a minor tweak in Photoshop or Lightroom could correct for any slight shifts. In looking at the photo of the girl with the yellow sweater, at 0:45, there appears to be more detail in the iPhone 11 shot. I haven't watched the whole video yet, but am assuming both cameras have the same resolution sensor for portrait, so I find this strange. Now, in the same paused shot comparison, I think the difference comes down to camera focus area, as the hair cresting at the widow's peak looks slightly sharper on the 12, while on the 11, the sweater is sharper and more detailed. Lastly, if I have to judge shots while on-the-go, how much better of a visual preview is the 12's screen going to offer me over the 11? I realize on paper the 12 has the superior screen for that function, but I'd love to compare these two shots on their native devices.

Man i see you everywhere complaining just about iphones. Wow the background wobbles just a tiny bit when the ois is doing work compared to the competition? Ok but what about other things like dynamic range,colors,noise reduction etc which are unmatched and the fact that all cameras can record 4k 30 and 60 fps when even the way more expensive note 20 ultra can’t do it?
@@DravkatRakhmonessis the background wobbles is bad, its not just a tiny bit. 4k 60 is good but most people just pick up the phone and start recording usually in 1080p, im not sure theyre going to fill their storage with 4k 60, especially on iphones that arent expandable.
colors is subjective.
im not sure of which phone has a bad noise reduction.
most flagship phones have good dynamic range, samsung gives you extra pro video ability where you can adjust how you want, like a real dslr camera.

Hi, I have just noticed that when I look at some picture I did and I tap on “modify”, the picture get more bright when I am into the modify menù. This only happens with taken pictures, so not with screenshots or received photos. Do you know why is that?

Because the phone has more information about the pictures it took. Screenshots not so much, however you can still edit screenshots manually using the built in photo editor or apps like snapseed

There would also be a big difference at medium lighting since the Iphone 12 has better deep fusion and that across all cameras
so basically 11&12 have the same perfomance on camera except night mode, same 4gb RAM, A14 does not have huge upgrade compare with A13
and most of the places in my country does not support 5G yet

Yes, you're right most of the pictures are identical and there are pictures that favors the other depending on the angle. But in general the 12 still has an advantage. So if you have an iPhone 11 no need to upgrade unless your pocket is full and want to experience the new form factor and the selfie camera. I have an o ld iPhone 8+ so definitely I'm getting the 12.

Thanks for this video. I noticed that the microphone is better on the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 12 has flatter skin tones. If you're into more contrasty images, the iPhone 12 might not be worth it.

I'm just curious. Does NeuralCam work for the ultra wide and selfie lens on the iPhone 11? For night time video I don't think any of them where particularly good even though the 12 is better. I mean, if you're into that kind of stuff the 12 pro max is probably worth it. I'm really looking forward for results from that phone. Too me I think I´d either go with the iPhone 12 mini or the 12 pro max. Those in between feels a bit "meh". Either you go all in, or you cheap out. :p
Yes, NeuralCam does work for the ultrawide camera and selfie camera, too! Also, NeuralCam just launched an app for night mode videos.

Is the bitrate lower on the iPhone 12 videos? I feel like they're more heavily compressed, especially with the front facing camera, as they appear to have less detail despite having the same sensor and a better chipset.

I am trying to make a decision between 11 and 12 based on image stabilization while shooting videos. I record a lot videos while moving around. Personally I did not see a lot of difference on the image stabilisation as you were walking. Any suggestions on this? 😊

good point. bro i recently had an iphone and wanted to torrent movies no utorrent lol. i gave that phone out in less than a month. i couldnt even move my mp3s from my android to the iphone just through bluetooth. i need itunes and long process. im not sure how people think iphone is easy to use. lol.
@@truthseeker6804 I'm the opposite, i got my first iphone 11 few days ago and coming from a one plus phone, this was a huge upgrade in many ways. The UI , the Apple Pay, app store. Everything is a 10/10. Never going android again unless its a S20+
@@hassanali19101 ok good for you. i havent tried one plus before so i cant speak on that and i dont use apple pay. personally playstore is better simply because i was able to get more apps an example is the uTorrent and others. so if apple works for you, all the best. something for everyone.
