- Pete Scullion has wanted me to ride Ben Lawers for a while now, it's one of his most favourite mountains to ride. Today we took total advantage of the amazing weather we've been having and got to ride it with a beautiful sunset with a good group of friends.

There’s nothing finer than the adrenaline rush of carving down a technical rocky bit of singletrack... but you blokes did it for miles and miles and miles!!! Amazing stuff!

absolutely incredible. you must pinch yourself to be able to ride such trails. man its almost a catch22 can you appreciate the landscape with such intense riding but you only get the intense riding in such landscape. thank you for this vid. keep riding

Hey Ali Clarkson! Great vid of a fine trail that is similar surface to what I have here in southern British Columbia! For the arm pump check where your brake levers are when they engage the brakes and where they are at rest. Also try different angles on the bar clamps. Check for differences between right and left! Make the left more like the right! Ride ride ride!

Ali, Great stuff! Living LARGE! I love it when I get to a trials rider (i.e. someone with REAL bike handling skill oneness) gets out on the trail to tackle some real big mountain riding! I am happy for you because you got to take a well deserved breath and immersion into all that mother nature has to offer you: beauty, flow, gravity, peril, and wholesomeness. Its sad that the National Park mentality always leaves trails that are built solely for hikers. All the steps take away the flow, but I am sure as old as that trail is, they probably didn't have mtb's when it was constructed. I guess respectfully fulfilling your cyclic mantra, "stick to the path" was the hardest part for you and the worst part for me in this video :-)
oh my days mate that was some absolutely sick riding and footage! i need to do this descent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wounded the go pro missed a bit, it looked steep. well played with the arm pump as well man, full on battled through it.

"Danny MacAskill tire slide" at 12:32 The new challenge for you is to use all the trials skills dynamically (i.e. with lots of speed)... I am sure you could no-dab all the tech stuff without speed. Geee... 16:32 how did I guess you would take the left hand, high line up over the rock across the creek? A trials guy of course! Sorry to see you had so much trouble with your left hand/arms from all the pump and chunk. Good you didn't run out of light and energy. Video resolution quality was excellent!

Ali, you looked quicker than the others on the lower high line, it looked like you rode it like a pump track.
That is really pretty. Next time give us a slow 360 on the landscape. So strange to see treeless terrain at that low altitude.

That looks like a great decent, but the climb looks like it would have been pretty tedious.
Paul Franklin the climb feels like you’ve cheated somehow, you are there before you know it. Trick is you climb up a different route than the descent. Will be putting up a video on it in a few days.
