    Hi! Thank you so much for this video. I have stopped and started DNRS many times over the past nine months, I am ashamed to say. Part of it is procrastination, part of it is feeling like I don’t have enough time to dedicate to it, and part of it is the disbelief that something that seems so simple can be the answer I looked for for so long. Your video helped me to realize, once again, that what I’m experiencing is typical limbic pushback. The problem is that I have found myself in a place where I dread rounds and I feel like I hate them. I’m having a terrible time trying to reframe this so I can get back to doing rounds. I’d love your advice on this. Thank you.

    I have chronic Lymes Disease, osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis and I constantly have the life or death feeling about decisions...This resonates with me so strongly...I am definitely going to look into the DNRS...Thank you ladies for this glimmer of hope! Liz have you ever been told you look like Anne Hathaway?

    Thank you so much for this video! It really helped with my questions around getting stuck with memories and with my DNRS rounds sometimes seeming like a task to check off and how I reframe that, which will really help! This whole interview was super helpful and validated fun and calming practices of mine.

    hi Liz, really appreciate you taking the time you make these videos - I know its not easy. (and the short email in my inbox, not an overwhelming one). Since you asked for feedback/suggestions, a simple idea comes to mind - in your email, maybe you could have a quote that shares what she actually credits w healing her? or a few quotes. Because like so many people w chronic illness, I feel constantly short on time. Although I realize that would be out of context and that healing is always a (fairly unique) journey. thanks and love!

    I've been extremely tired for 3 years and my doctor finally just diagnosed me with CFS. I have discovered your channel yesterday and your videos are giving me hope, thanks for the great work. DNRS sounds interesting but I really can't afford it. Are there any other resources that look like these but are free or not that pricey ? Thanks a lot.

    I have the classic ME/CFS symptoms and looking for answers anywhere they might be. I'm a little confused on the emotion that one should try and tap into. What have you found to be most helpful: calmness, happiness, contentedness, gratefulness, etc.? Or does any emotion of positivity work? Thanks and much respect for your efforts.

    • @HealwithLiz
      @HealwithLiz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      This is such a great question. In my visualizations I tap into these feelings, and similarly joy, serenity, ease, and vibrance. My goal is to tap into that calmness while visualizing myself doing things I love and feeling good in my body. For me, it's not meditation or something that could put me to sleep (unless I'm doing one for that purpose) neither are they high-adrenaline (since it's helpful to be in a parasympathetic rest and digest state). It helps to visualize the 5 senses, what do I smell, see, taste, hear, how my body feels. I'll sometimes include a spiritual element. I mix it up (sometimes I'll do an adventure, sometimes I'll do more serene). There are no rules, and I love how Astra ads a magical element to her visualizations. Gratitude is a powerful one. Keeping a gratitude journal and writing down what I'm grateful for every morning. I have a screenshot on my phone of an old journal at my lowest point, and it didn't seem to be much then, but I can see how it was planting a seed. In my visualizations it's a part of them, too, being grateful for an experience as if it is happening. And then I made many of them happen in real life and it just sends tingles down your spine, with an even deeper sense of gratitude. Check out my video a few videos back on "My Favorite Health Visualization" where I share an example. And Astra is an amazing coach for people doing neuroplasticity programs and beginners as well, too. Hope that helps, and thanks for your comment!

      @@HealwithLiz Thanks so much for the quick reply. This gives me some good info. to work with. I especially like the "no rules" aspect. :) My past 10 yrs. have been nothing but strict rules in order to survive. I'll be glad if I can be rid of that. In fact I'll incorporate some visualizations of spontaneity! All the best.

      Do u think it can help benzo withrawal?

    • @HealwithLiz
      @HealwithLiz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@morningwithgracie7870 Hi Gracie, If you go to the recap of things she tried, you'll see she once relied on benzos among many other things mentioned. My message from the heart to you and anyone reading this though, is to not focus on the symptom or health challenge, but rather the root cause. Coincidentally, Dr. Jacob Tietelbaum (an MD who healed from CFS in med school) just shared a post about this that I read as I was going to reply to you. And my second message is to focus instead on finding people whose methods of healing most resonate with you.
      Initially I once thought I had to find someone with my exact same symptoms and do what they did (I spent a couple years with this approach). But I have found it was most important for me to do 1) what felt right and 2) what was going to get to the root cause. And I know multiple people with the symptom you mention and countless other symptoms fully heal by doing what resonated with them and addressing the root causes. Sending you healing vibes! (PS. Astra is also a coach, a couple people have reached out to me already saying how amazing she's been.)

      @@morningwithgracie7870 benzo withdrawal is a brain injury as well as limbic system dysfunction. Limbic system dysfunction led me to benzos and benzo withdrawal complicates limbic system dysfunction imo. I am not a doctor nor an expert but I believe limbic system training should be taught in schools to children. I think it can help just about everyone. DNRS is a very good program but there are other limbic system dysfunction brain retraining programs, most offer money back guarantee within the first few months, find one that resonates with you.
