  • Mika, 39, shares her FULL recovery story from CFS, Lyme disease, Fibromyalgia, Severe Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), Mast Cell (MCAS), POTS, and more. In her early 20’s, she had a big job in NYC and was the star of a TV show. Then a chemical injury at work caused her health to unravel. TIMESTAMPS BELOW:

44:13 How is Psych-K different than therapy or somatics practices?
46:15 Mika was an early pioneer / advocate spreading the word about brain retraining. Some friends from functional clinic IV rooms were skeptical.
50:45 How subconscious beliefs affect our limbic system. More about Psych K.
    55:25 Learning compassion (vs empathy).
1:00:16 Go down the rabbit hole! (some) Note: Nothing is medical advice.
    1:01:53 Closing reflections.
    Overview:
Mika was an NYC it girl seemingly on top of the world, until her health came crashing down.
Mika spent over 5 years with debilitating chronic illnesses, the last year of which was spent mostly crawling around her house in solitude with her cats. Before finding her way out, she spent $$$,$$$ trying every functional medicine treatment under the sun. While some treatments were supportive, she took things way too far, and her world became smaller and smaller.
Then she found her path out. Mika was one of the first pioneers to apply brain retraining (aka neural retraining / limbic system retraining) to heal chronic illness including her severe chemical sensitivities. She healed all her physical symptoms this way rather quickly. However, then the panic attacks (which she never had before) began. And then she was hit by a car in Santa Monica. And then life threw her another lemon. She eventually found a new modality, and found the connection it provided to be very healing for her childhood attachment wounds.
Now 39, after first helping many people for free and seeing it works, she has been helping others for the better part of a decade as both a limbic brain retraining and Psych-K coach. You can reach her at meadowhealing.com.

what she said about different hormonal states lifting the veil was very potent. i feel that way with my pms. theres something that im already carrying that month that is brought to the surface with my pms. ive stopped writing off my pms and instead using it to feel into my feelings. its been very healing.

My heart is so full after this interview ❤ thank you for being transparent and vulnerable Mika. Being open and saying that we can go all in and backslide into old neurology but it doesn’t mean we aren’t getting better. And explaining how many of us are deeply feeling/ emotional and very intellectual. And the part about safety…So many gems and wisdom! Thank you for making these videos Liz 🎉 you give me hope and motivation to keep going

Great job. I feel like I live in the rabbit hole. I don’t know what to believe but I have realized my traits are exactly as she described. I also realized that childhood trauma has affected me my whole life but I never thought it did because I always look to help other people and I always though I was so even keeled.

Robyn, sending you a big hug. I acknowledge all your fears, your struggles, and your heart. Sending my support to you. It sounds like you need emergency mental wellbeing support, and I encourage you to reach out to a charity, public service, or any friend so you're not alone. For housing support, that also might be through a charity, church, or public service, neighbor, or friend. You are not alone. I don't think Mika provides emergency free support, but she is a wonderful soul and I know has been very helpful to people. I have a lot of resources on my website. Don't give up. Things might seem scary and bad now, but I believe there are better days ahead for you.

Which of Phil's books did she read? I'd love to know which one actually outlined the steps we can implement ourselves.

I know from personally reading it that his book Get the Life You Love Now includes the steps, though it's not specific to any condition and doesn't provide troubleshooting. He just released a new book and also had at least one prior.

I noticed that you said it bothered you when people would say ," it's all in your head" In a way it really is.. I love the book "You Are The Placebo" making your mind matter. Thought , energy, matter...I believe if you think it will work it usually does..
