In the US the AMA banned action cams from being mounted on helmets for race events. Everyone would use chin mounted gopros on their helmets for dirtbike events and then post the races. So if you are at an AMA sanctioned event then sorry you cant use a helmet mounted cam. This has meant we've all transitioned to chest mounts which suck because now you arent looking where the rider is looking and sometimes you get the handlebars in the way. I'd love to see 100%, Scott or others take this idea and mount the cam into googles as it would get us back to real POV recordings.

It's also hard to not look at any new product, that is truly a new product, that relies on tech, with the lens of "Well, if this doesn't replace them now, it will with the next gen", because the battery and cameras will always get better, pushing this into the "good enough" territory as GoPro's and others run up against feature bloat and 8k

to awnser the question of can you tape the indicator or disable it, if i remeber well the phone repair guru video you can't disable it or cover it
Definitely exited for a second gen wider fov better sensor and stabilizer
These are the 2nd generation glasses as have been out for a few years. I am actually watching the video to see what differs and I have been using mine for the last 3 years to shoot MTB videos. Nice not to have to spend hours editing to find that 30 sec clip of the rock roll or such.
I like the video quality of the glasses better, all the distortion from the Go Pro is very annoying, the blur from the glasses just looks normal!😅
It's what I upload with I usually stich the clips but they are great for fishing you tell it to record when you get a bite
Major chrisfix vibes with the glasses lol. Wooder boddle 😂
what knee pads are you using in the video
It's also hard to not look at any new product, that is truly a new product, that relies on tech, with the lens of "Well, if this doesn't replace them now, it will with the next gen", because the battery and cameras will always get better, pushing this into the "good enough" territory as GoPro's and others run up against feature bloat and 8k
I love the colour of that BP shirt.
Seth, why do you never use your titanium sage bike?
I don't usually like to stop my ride midway and record but I do see interesting things once in awhile. These could work for those moments. + on the audio as well.
I like the concept. I'm a buyer when they release a v2 with better image and longer record time.
"bumbling". Hahahaha ive been waiting for that Seth. Damn i laughed.
OMG That tripod you showed at the end... I am shopping for one right now. Huge time saver!
Did you find it? I have been searching!
@@humbleoutdoorfilmco Yes, it's the Edelkrone StandPLUS... They offer it in the regular version and the pro version for $290, and $490. I am considering getting one, but have been investing in a few other gizmos as well to try to save some time.
This would make it easier to get in Chrisfix mode.
I don't record my rides but I'm kinda impressed how well done these sunglasses are. I was expecting some absolute trash, they seem competent and convenient.
It will definitely take over GoPro in the near future. Better video + widescreen + longer duration is just around the corner.
They seem pretty amazing. And they are fairly affordable. I'd like to document my delivery rides on my cargo bike without a ridiculous rig on me. I definitely would need bifocal transition lenses to be able to wear them for more content creation when off of my bike.
I was surprised to see how awful the GoPro footage was, the Action 4 has really spoiled us.
Your sense of humor kills me...I think these are a pretty good first effort for what they are. They'll get better with time, honestly for people who shoot things that don't involve high speeds where the frame rate starts to show its limits, this is probably a great option.
