I’ve fished Wang Dam (Lake Wallace) alot many years ago but never bothered to have a look at the spillway area where you were fishing. I’ve caught heaps of 50cm plus rainbows there over the years. You should use your kayak there I’m sure you’ll find some big trout amongst the Redfin
im a local, just letting you know if your fishing there when a ranger comes along youll cop a hefty fine for fishing the spillway, you can fish ontop of the wall but not the bottom, just next time you go there be careful
Hey mate that’s a cracking spot, if you use the walking tracks up onto the deep part before the water overflows into the river, I got a 37 a 32 and a couple 30 centimetre Redfin just by jigging soft vibes off the bottom. Give a go because along the rock wall on the other side of the dam I’ve heard there is some some 50 cm trout that hang around there
@@bushsends6358 haha, good luck for next time you go the lake is also really good for kayaks, if you launch your kayak at the boat ramp and paddle over to the rock wall it’s completely fine to do that and there are some big Redfin and trout hanging round there. My best advice is just to use plastics until you find a school of them and then basically once you have found the school just hover on top of it and use blades or vibes. Tight lines mate

@@bushsends6358 there is signs to say you aren’t, however there is stairs going over the fence and trails leading up to the spots.
