**Please read** I may have gotten a little bit "caught up" in all the excitement. A measure of my fishing rod, based on the photo of the fish shows that the biggest trout was closer to 41cm than 47cm. Hey Robbbie, that was a very nice trout for that small creek, he put up a good fight. You were lucky to land it the way it was hooked, gotta remember your net. I grew up around Lithgow, lots of good fishing spots around there, farmers creek has very big trout in it, one of my favourite spots. Anyway another great video..

That was a beautiful rainbow Robbie. The colours of the wild fish are at the next level, compared to the green fish you buy in the freezer, at the big well known store.
Wow Robbie you have done it again another awesome video, them trout were magnificent. I went yabbieing the other day and caught over 30 massive yabbies in my channel on my back door so they are on the bite as well.

Most abused word on TH-cam is Epic but that rainbow deserved the title of epic. I was holding my breath like I had the ripper on my self even knowing that you were going to land it LOL. Been to long since I landed a high country rainbow trout.
haha Thanks so much Chris, and I reckon I am probably more than guilty of using that word more than I should. This morning it was epic... epicentre! 5.6magnitude earthquake ensured we were all awake. LOL
Nice Trout out of a little stream, 42cm is my best rainbow, looked pretty similar size. My 10km radius has just made some Trout possible again, pretty excited to be thinking about fishing again. Feel free to cut as many paths through that Gorse as possible, the less the better in my opinion. Uncomfortably Spikey, invasive weed. Must of been pretty keen to push your way through it, would deter most people I think.
Thanks Jay, yep this was 42cm, so similar to yours. Good luck on the trout mate. If we go back into lockdown here, 10km will open up a lot more options for me than 5km.
That's one nice rainbow bloody beautiful mate well done. That first fish how good was that 😂. 2 more days then I'm off camping until Sunday at lake Eildon gees I can't wait lol it's been going so slow at work 🤦
Awesome fish Robbie! I got an awesome 57cm Brown trout last week, she was in really great condition too despite having spawned. Went well in my friend's smoker too 😎
G’day Robbie, how good was that tackle club box full of lures and all those great fish actually jumping on your lure lol. What a great session in that lovely little stream. Cheers mate…
Thanks mate. It depends so much on the day from 1 waterway to another. I have been having a lot of success with the Strike Tiger nymph lately, particularly in black and gold colour.
Nice one Robbie. That was an epic battle. I started using single hook spoons, some barbed and some barbless. I found better bite to hookup ratio on the singles compared to trebles. Hey, question - did you go to Wang Tech?
