BTW being bipedal is absolutely NOT OP it takes so much for us to function like this is why you don’t see more animals evolve into it. Naturally what makes us the dominant species is our ability to manipulate our environment. No point of evolving tusks claws and teeth if I can chuck a spear at you

I agree with you Drongo, I'm so happy that ants are stuck in a lower-weight class now, their eusocial strategy and massive numbers would totally bone us if they were bigger in size, Gods! I don't miss the carboniferous expansion that dropped some millions of years ago when insects were HUGE. And yeah great cast as always GOAT.

Unironically, I actually reckon Cataphracts woulda done some good there if you let them build up. The charge-through ability is no joke when your opponent isn't making spearmen. Problem is Catas are SO expensive. Most overcosted unit in the game imo
Loui wasn't making Spearmen only because there was no cavalry from the opponent, though.
Going Cataphracts when you are on 1 TC vs 2 TCs and the moment you stop printing units to maintain pressure you are dead is even more of a death sentence than making Cataphracts in general, in my opinion.
Also, you can't really use the Trample when you are attacking into enemy base, it gets canceled by every single obstacle, including buildings and resources.
Agree with them being ridiculously overpriced, along with Varangian Guards.
You exhaust the gold on the map extremely fast, have to expose the vills more and more getting to the gold veins further away, and don't really get anything powerful enough to compensate.

If the Byz player was basically massing/spamming Varangian Guards, why wouldn't English mix in crossbows (with +11 bonus against heavy infantry) to deal with them, rather than trying to take them out with longbows?
I’d like to see a game mode where you have to kill the king to win and every time you destroy/kill something you get +1 pop or you get +20 pop every 10 minutes until a max amount or something of that nature.
Nice cast. I feel like English would have won easily if he had just built a single Treb to blast those towers and walls.

honestly English is insane villagers have bows really that alone is enough to be op as it eliminates early pressure but the white castle and Berkshire palace are just alot to deal with the range on that Berkshire is just crazy and the abilty to control space on the age up for basically free oh and the longbows its the tempo it puts out is oppressive.... but i guess if we werent talking about HRE and English wed be talking about mongols age three land mark that heals or wed be talking about something else..... idk i just think English need a tempo nerf
