I picked up the 77C9 for $2400 with tax from best buy. It was open box but it literally was still in original box and had everything except the instruction manual. I even got a $200 gift card! So i used that to get the 5 year warranty which was $500 and covers burn in. I fired up the tv and it had 0 panel hours! Amazing deal! I ended up getting a 65C9 for the room for about $1200 with tax and a $100 gift card! I also got the 5 year warranty for that for $249. I'm excited and set for awhile! Check it out yall.
Edit: Regarding 4k/120hz. There are no hdmi 2.1 hardware aside from Xbox One X. This year there will be the PS5 and Xbox Series X with HDMI 2.1, but for example, video cards, dont have hdmi 2.1 yet so we can't really test it.

TCL 2020 supposedly do support VRR and 120hz (not sure about 4K gaming) through HDMI 2.1. Below is a direct quote from someone at TCL talking about current 2019 models and 2020 models.
    - "These updated 2019 TVs, along with some 2020 models, will be able to dynamically synchronize the frame rate of the TV to exactly match the frame rate of compatible games and game consoles for optimized performance," the company said.
TCL also mentioned 120Hz playback but this appears to be reserved for the new 2020 models with HDMI 2.1 ports.

But one thing, if a Game is 30fps and if you have a 120hz panel the tv can do a 4:4 pull down right ? So you don't need it ?
      Or I'm wrong with this?
I mean ok if the game is let's say 33Fps ok but if it is 30 ? 120:30= 4 so 4:4 pull down= no stutter (or better consistent stutter)
Or am I wrong? I mean that's the way it works with movies right ?
Maybe I got something wrong, I'm from a not English speaking country
I mean that's the point why game developers make 30 and 60 fps games this generation, because we have 60hz and 120hz panels
But I could be wrong, I don't know

You use Custom Resolution Utility (CRU) to force fully working freesync functionality with a range of 40-120 from a PC AMD GPU on a C9 (not a typo), and LFC will work properly as long as your refresh rate is also set to 120Hz (with an HDMI 2.0 GPU on a C9 can only be achieved at 1440p at max even if you use 8bit 4:2:0).

Because that hardware ( Ps5, XBSX) would be more than capable of doing that. It depends on what the developer wants. It's also very much possible to release, for instance, Halo Infinite with a 4K 60 mode and a 1080p 120 mode (upscaled to 4K, perhaps with integer scaling in which case your TV would actually need to support 4K 120hz for this to work) for instance for those who want that competitive edge online.

I'm thinking of games with more of a competitive nature that would benefit much more from a high refresh rate and framerate to offer a 120hz option (probably upscaled to 4K) on the next gen machines.
Then again I'd be more than happy with the majority of the games being 4K 60 (with VRR), a few samples going 4K 30 (Ubisoft... we all saw that coming) and some competitive titles choosing dynamic res 120 for instance. Perhaps even 4K 120 if it's a graphically minimalistic game or the settings were to be adjusted accordingly.

@@412JFury Yea both consoles exp series X they going to get alot of games up to 120/4k...Also i wouldnt even build a pc gaming for 4k/60fps with the way games are optimized you need more then a RTX 2080 Ti and im not sure if the RTX 3000 or what ever its called is going to be all that great. Ports dont run the best of the best @ 4k/60fps even tho i know its demanding but alot of it is bad optimizing no thx
So ya i would go console for sure

@@412JFury I wouldn't. I have a 2080ti and I only get 4K 120fps on 1 game, Destiny 2, most games are between 60-100fps in 4K at high settings. Another problem is that Devs are in control of what to prioritize, so for example Assassins Creed Valhalla is being developed for x box series x and they are promising a MINIMUM OF 30FPS. They can't even guarantee 60fps. They want to prioritize resolution and eye candy over performance. Same story. and btw, a $2200 PC is barely even 4k 60FPS material Only card able to achieve it consistently is the 2080ti and that one is $1200 at least. Throw a mobo and a cpu in there you're already over $2200.

Is it worth buying your own HDMI cables. Or are the provided cable by cable companies good enough for the LG Nano 85 and the PlayStation

2020 LG TV's are not capable of true 120hz hdmi 2.1 12bit. 2020 TV's only support 10bit. To early to tell of it will make a difference. However the premium 2019 lg oled line does. just found this out today after some research

Too early to tell if it will make a difference? Hahaha.
You can barely see the difference between 8 bit and 10 bit. You cannot see the difference between 10 bit and 12 bit. I don't care who the person is. There is no way they can see the difference between 10 bit which is over a billion different possible colors on screen, and 12 bit which is 68 billion. But 68 is bigger so morons will still think they need it.
Most PCs are 8 bit, which is 16.7 MILLION colors. And nobody complains about colors on their PC.
So a 10 bit display which is around 60x TIMES more color shades/variations than an 8 bit display is not good enough? Gimme a break.
I promise not a single person in the world can tell the difference between 10 bit and 12 bit in a double blind test.

This video is pointless because neither console will manage 4K at 120fps! They will struggle to maintain 60fps!

in the first year maybe not, but as game developers improve their software upscaling, you'll see 4K120 performance in 18 months. For those buying TVs now who want to be ready for those future game updates, this helps them with their TV buying decision.
