NEO NO!! THE STABS!!! The stabs should not look like that after being clipped. 4:12 The bottom should be flat at the end, do not leave the little nub on like he did as it will make your stabs still uneven and rattly. A lot of people make this mistake and I want to help Neo and all of you. Taeha Types just released an in depth guide solely on stabilizers on his channel everyone should check out as it's probably they best guide out there for stabs right now.
i'd advise people to try only lubing the spring and the stablisers for early-bump tactile switches like this one. i fully lubed my keychron low profile optical mints and it felt awful. i ended up washing everything away and re-applied lube on just the springs and stablisers. it now sounds great and retains 100% of the factory tactility which is what i bought them for.
Tip: don't throw away the bag that you used for spring lubing after you're finished with lubing all the switches. The excess oil can sometimes be enough to lube even more springs
For bag lubing springs I use Paraffin Oil (White Mineral Oil [8042-47-5]). It works great for me and the price compared to Krytox 105 is more than worlds apart. In Sweden I bought 1L (more than I will probably ever use) for around $9, krytox 105 seems to be ~$10 for ~5ml so somewhere around 200 times the price, AND I can buy this oil pretty much anywhere.
I love my entry NK65 purple. I also got the RandomfrankP version coming in later this year. I also ordered a Awaken edition entry NK. I guess you could say I like NK boards. They are like NIke's to me lol
I was able to snag an nk87 on sale recently and built it out with some box jades and honestly this is the best keyboard I've ever owned. For 100$ these NK boards cant be beat imo especially the newer versions that have board mounted stabs.
Then the board you are looking for is the SK61. Look for wild cats modding vid on it. Also lube everything with super lube if you don't have much left in budget to buy lube. Just use very little on switches. That's what people used to do like 10 years ago before we found out about all these lubricants.
The Nk65 also benefits from adding some foam between the plate and pcb. I happened to have some precut foam for a different 65% board that I modified and added in, but it really takes the board to a whole other level.
T1's must be filmed in order to have this kind of sound; their housings are not tight enough, so you have to film them. With 0.2mm films the results are even better, on pair with HPs sounding profile. You can swap the top housing to a Outemu with-slot to reduce even further the wobble.
I've got a nk65 atomic purple with lubed gateron yellows. KPrepublic PBT keycaps. With a desk mat, it sounds like BUTTER. I agree that the spacebar/ stabilizers rattle a bit. I'm going to try the band- aid mod this weekend. Thanks for the great upload!
After watching this video after 5 months again, and now havin my own self built keyboard (didn't get a barebones). I have learned that I probably need to do two things: 1. get switch films 2. possibly band-aid mod my screw in stabs somehow. (they are already lubed and ho-lee'd) 3. Optionally get an alu case for the clickityclackity perfection
I noticed on 3:02 that your right thumb has a dark line from top to bottom. My uncle had the same but his was even darker. He went to the doctor and he was diagnosed with skin cancer. I would recommend visiting a doctor.

@@TheBrandoGR @Jack P This literally doesn't make any sense. The springs themselves do not influence the sound of the switch as a whole, and are not supposed to make any sound at all.
