I was thinking about getting a handheld. Just not sure which to get. The oled steam deck, asus rog ally or the lenovo legion go (I like this one more cause of the screen and removeable controller)
This one is my favorite. The screen is just too nice and lets me play pretty much any game I throw at it.

your stutters are from texture resolution to high, set to low then redo shaders in settings restart and drop into a couple games to gain map shaders, big improvement on that chip i'm sure.
This makes sense especially considering this was my first game on after an update. Thanks and I’ll give it a try

@@lovelucii1181 probably playing even lower settings and using like ultra performance FSR but I mean you’re image quality is probably going to be a lot worse. I’d say 100 gps is pretty solid.
How is the legeon go as regards to screen tearing since it doesnt have vrr? Not sure weather to get the Legeon Go or The Ally?
Screen tearing has never been a concern or a noticeable fault while playing. The lack of VRR isn’t something I’m constantly thinking about while playing especially if I switch over right after playing on the Ally.

How do you feel about the New legion Go update and the ability to finally be able to map the back buttons to keyboard keys ? Would you see yourself using it on Cod?
I’ve had jumping and melee/sliding mapped to the back of mine since the beginning but I’m glad they did an update that gives more options to map keys to the back now instead of just controller button options.

I buy the go yesterday ! Completely lovely. If I play on 120Hz monitor which setting i need to use ?
If you play on a monitor I would recommend going to display settings in windows and using the “Extend these displays” option so it acts as a second screen and you can take advantage of your monitors’ resolution. Otherwise if you just mirror your screen to the monitor you might have a blurry image. Also having a 120hz monitor does not guarantee that all of your games are going to run at 120fps. Games tend to perform less highly when projected onto a monitor vs playing on the handhelds screen itself.

@@augustinebarrett1991 The ROG Ally and the Legion Go are both more powerful than steam deck and Steam Deck OLED. Legion Go has the biggest screen but shares the sam echip as the ALLY Z1 Extreme, The Legion Go has no VRR but has a higher refresh rate screen (144hz) personally i enjoy my legion go the most.
Can the ARENA BREAKOUT MOBILE can also be played there?
Maybe off of an Android emulator but I haven’t personally tried.

How much battery do you get?
1.5-2 ish hours for this game running on performance TDP. Close to 2 hours seems to be the mark for highly demanding games.

@@silverstone227 depends what you’re going for. Not sure what you plan on playing or doing. You have to ask yourself how you’ll be using a handheld vs a laptop and which one is more fitting for your lifestyle, playstyle etc.

I’d say on my phone it runs fairly decent I’m happy with it except for the lag spikes and the poor controller settings with no deadzone options. On the Legion GO tho… it’s always so impressive to me how well it works. Love playing on here.

Currently the only way is through Android emulation and it’s not well optimized. I tried and it was not a good experience. Maybe with time it will get optimized to run better but currently it’s rough.

The “supposed” ban related to TDP is referring to changing your TDP mid game while the game is open. If you open the game at 30 and just play at 30 there shouldn’t be an issue.

In power and performance yes. The steam Deck is a great system too but it also depends what games you play.

Well there’s also a new Ally right around the corner. Announcement is June 2nd I think. Legion GO is my go to device right now, Idk if you wanna wait and see if the New Ally will be worth it and make a decision then.
I keep sing the comments from people talking about the lack of VRR on legion go and makes me look back towards the ally rog but at the same time I like the bigger screen on legion go... Either way I believe they both are solid device's
@@chaseivey28 the VRR concern seems to be overstated. I go back and forth between the Ally and the legion go and it’s not something that makes me want to go back to the Ally while playing the legion go. I don’t even really think about it. That’s just how I see it though. If it’s that important to have that feature I get it. But the bigger screen usually has me coming back and is something I miss when I’m using the Ally.

If you’re launching it from Steam, try launching it outside of big picture mode. Mine wasn’t launching within big picture mode for some reason then I Exited big picture and tried again and it worked. Also make sure your system is fully updated.

Asus rog ally z1 extreme is better for competitive games
The Lenovo legion GO contains the Z1 Extreme chip as well. I personally enjoy the games more on here for visibility especially on competitive shooters.
@@Misaac isn’t it chunky? Especially on the go, plus it doesn’t have freesync. FPS fluctuations so much on these games would be good too have. Since it’s 1080p instead of 1200p you get better fps on it, and 1200p is not the main resolution either. Maybe it can run valorant on 1600p but idk if you want to play that with a controller. If you play at lower resolutions on a higher quality display it adds a bit of blurriness it won’t be crisp as native.
@@shazzi1626 chunkiness isn’t an issue. It’s also a preference thing if you don’t like it well there’s light weight devices you can get. Games have the option to change their resolution they aren’t stuck at 1080P. The lack of free sync is a bigger argument on paper than in reality. I own both the Ally and legion GO and I promise you I’m not telling myself I wish I had free sync every time I use the legion GO. It sounds like you haven’t actually used this device so it’s easier to imagine what’s wrong with it.
