That last point was what sold me. It's like Lenovo engineers worked out the largest screen size it could be and still be hand held. I'm not that big of a gamer, really. I've had the legion go for about a month now and I love it. I used fx sound app to improve the speakers and have no complaints. I also don't mind the weight it feels like a solid well made premium device not a cheap plastic toy. I'm sticking with the legion go.
For what I can tell and all the different reviews about the 2 devices, it's pretty much a preference. I've tried both, and I prefer the Levion go. Like i said, it's all about preference. It's all about what you prefer and what you like. Each has their own quirks. So, quit bashing the other and just pick one and decide for yourself. Don't listen to this guy's and other reviewers. Try them both out and judge for yourself. Pick what's right for you, period.
I have the Switch, Ally and Deck. I tried the Legion Go but it’s too big for my hands and it was less portable than the others. Really which you see as the best is more subjective. I don’t feel that the build is that much worse than the Legion.
wrong about display crispness 1920x1080@7" = 314.7 ppi 2560x1600@8.8" = 343.05 PPI the legion GO is more crisp; and seeing both in person it is, double check your resolution settings.
For 99% of people and use cases, the Ally X is your best bet. The go only beats it in screen size (not quality) and the fact that you can remove the controllers (if that's even important for you). Most, if not all the downsides of the ally that are mentioned in this video are fixed on the Ally X. Just my two cents, at the end of the day, you do you and just get whichever you personally think is better for you.
The weight and size of the legion really isn't an issue, I'm a relatively small guy and I just sit back on the couch and rest the console on my lap and hold it up like that, you don't have to grip it tight, I'm short though so this may be awkward for someone taller.
@kevosalinas Proton is an amazing tool that brought tons of compatibility for gaming on Linux. It's by no means perfect and needs work but it is not garbage.
I bought the legion 3-4 months ago, and yesterday I walked into a store and they had the ally there so I checked it out. The screen looks so small on the ally compared to the legion. The immersion is on a different level.
@@kevosalinasumm okay? But am I wrong? The Legion Space was just updated to map the M1/M2 buttons and the Y1/Y2 buttons if I got the numbering right, so mashing against them prior to the update did nothing except you installed a third party software like Handheld Companion that did the mapping for you. You stated that it was an issue as you played yet you know that you can unmap them. You also stated that you wanted the Ally to have 4 back buttons, but this is exactly what the Go has and youre complaining? Ah
Yeah that was not my experience at all and I have had the Legion Go since December, also I never installed a third party thing to do any button mapping. So that is very odd tbh
I have both from day 1. It may not seem like much but the extra 200 grams DOES make a huge difference when playing for an extended period. It also effects how you hold the console. For the Ally I would hold it anyway I want. The only way I like to use the legion is in bed when it's resting on top of my stomach. That said, the Legion IMO still blows away the rog. After play on that Legion Go screen, it's hard to go back.
When holding something for extended period of time I can see why it can be an issue for some. Saying go to the gym doesn’t really change the fact that it’s 200g heavier
over here in Asia the go is $200 more than ally so the choice is pretty obvious. The legion go software is also not matured yet, I heard basic stuff like bypass charging is not possible on this thing. The controller also had many awkward buttons. The only good stuff is the 8.8 screen but its too sexy I would also pick the go if only Lenovo don't charge such a hefty price for it.
@@kevosalinas In Norway Rog Ally and Legion Go cost the exact same price. 900$. Steam Deck 512.GB cost 1200$ here and is by far the most expensive handheld.
@@fairphoneuser9009 Valve don't ship to countries not member of EU. They don't ship to 50% of European countries. I have no clue where the local stores here are getting Steam Decks. Asus, Lenovo, Acer, HP etc. have normal prices, because they ship globally.
I've been using Legion Go for a while. And I'm loving it for portable, not only game, but also PC. With additional portable keyboard I used it to code on cafe. I can even debug on bus/subway train with only touchscreen keyboard.
It was so hard to choose either one for me and im pretty sure if i didnt come across the GO for sale at $150 off i wouldnt have even got either one... The ally looks so sick and its probably runs games a little bit better but finding the more expensive item for less money than the other was a no brainer
Thank you for the video it was informative for the generic consumer. However it would be more appreciated if you reduce the volume of the background music, it is almost as loud as your voice which can be distracting but in addition to the noise the mic picks up it becomes an unpleasant experience and honestly after 7 minutes it became difficult to push till the end, I guess at least the volume compression on the two devices was a needed break. No I don't mind the mic not having a crisp and clean recording I just honestly feel it'll be a better experience if the background music was lower, I know lots of small channels struggle with the balance too. These are just my thoughts do with that information what you will and best of luck.
Great video! I already ordered the Legion GO this past week before I saw this video, so it should arrive within the next few days - but seems I may have chosen correctly. Thanks for clear info!
@@Zidro512 honestly I'm surprised at how much I love it. I already had the LCD Steam Deck so I thought maybe I wouldn't need the Legion GO - so I kind of bought it as a skeptical experiment. I now only use the Legion GO! The big screen is a pleasure to play on plus the colours and deep black levels are SO good that it's almost like an OLED screen... Huge upgrade with that from reg Steam Deck. It's also extremely well engineered. Literally everything has a reason (including things some ppl criticize): 1600p screen (too high for gaming? Maybe, but it gives you options to lower the res or keep it high for using the GO as a laptop or watching movies - GREAT tablet for that), 144Hz screen (this divides 24 Hz "cinematic" movies evenly by 6 so it should make watching movies extra smooth or it's good for less demanding games to hit high refresh rate, and you can change it to 60 Hz to for more consistency for more demanding games), the Switch-style detachable controllers are AMAZING because by putting the GO on a table and having controllers separately in your hands - it turns the device into the LIGHTEST device on the market - super comfortable to game this way). The GO is also super comfortable to hold (aside from the weight that can start to get noticeable after about 30 mins). The performance is fantastic - like a high end laptop (at 800p resolution) and most games work great except a few weirdnesses here and there. The updates come slowly from Lenovo but they are coming regularly, which is great. The Legion Space (hub for starting all your games) just got updated and now looks super professional and clean 👍 Unlike before. The built-in speaker sound quality on the Legion GO isn't great by default but with a few tweaks (check Retro Game Corps recent video about "Why I'm starting to Love Legion GO") it becomes Good sound 👍The greatest power of all though, is the ability to literally play any game from any launcher - unlike Steam Deck where you can only play your Steam games. Mentally, being able to play ANY game is huge. Overall, if you don't mind arranging things to your liking with Windows 11 (screen size, your icons, favorite programs for gaming, fixing a few weirdnesses in some games like Windowed Fullscreen instead of Fullscreen in some games so they display correctly, etc.) then you have a mini gaming PC that's almost like a console and gives you ALL the power and options. You just have to not mind arranging things (same like normal PC gaming) and after that everything is optimized and works smoothly. So I HIGHLY recommend the Legion GO. I also recommend the "Legion GO comfort grips" on Etsy.com that improve the comfort even more. Sorry for the long answer but I felt all of those points were important to help you decide 😎 Cheers man!
@@Zidro512 honestly I love it. Everything about it is great and I'm a tech guy. Any elements that reviewers are saying are so-so are actually great. It's very well engineered and everything has a reason. The only down side is the built-in speaker sound but it can be tweaked and then it's good.
@@Shadythedrifter No it doesn't affect me. It's true that having VRR is a great feature to make framerate super smooth (I have a TV and a monitor that both do VRR and I love them). But, it's not "necessary". The important thing with a handheld is to be able to hit a stable framerate in a game (above 30 FPS) and then lock the FPS by putting a limit (for example 30 FPS limit or 60 FPS limit depending on what FPS your device can hit consistently in that game). The FPS limit has to evenly divide into your screen refresh rate, so for example 48 FPS limit on the Legion GO divides evenly into 144 Hz and will look good (cause 48 x 3 = 144). Then, it looks very smooth even without VRR, especially on a small screen like on a handheld. The small screen kind of naturally makes lower framerate or even inconsistent framerate look smoother when compared to a big TV for example. So VRR like on the ROG Ally is very nice to have, but not necessary 👍 The Legion Go and Steam Deck both don't have VRR and both deliver smooth and pleasant gaming experiences I find.
2 back buttons are enough for me. But thats just for me just like 4 is better for you. I have the rog ally and ive had it for about 2 weeks now. This is my first introduction into the PC gaming world. And I'm finding myself playing the rog more than my PS5. ❤❤.
Steam Deck is literally better in almost every aspect than these two. The ONLY negative compared to these two is the performance. And it’s not even that big of a deal. So no, Steam Deck is not garbage.
I returned the ROG Ally and bought the Legion Go instead and I’ll never miss the Ally. The screen on the Legion Go is incredible. The Ally screen is too small and hardly ever wakes up from sleep mode, and it has other issues.
It's nice to have a youtuber that actually isn't bought off buy valve. My experience with the steamdeck is had been nothing but negative. Nothing works and yes Proton is hot garbage.
I bought the ROG ally and I definitely don’t regret my choice. Would I have liked the bigger screen? Yes of course, but the ROG has something that I respect a lot. The XG mobile option, which upscales the gpu by a lot. It’s really expensive, but for a handheld pc that has the option to cast on a pc monitor, this is amazing. I have a desktop so I won’t be needed the XG mobile, but for those out there that have an ROG ally, you don’t need a desktop if you purchase the XG mobile. Also, upgrading the SSD was very easy and super streamlined through the myasus app. I went from the standard 512gb, to the 1TB and I had no issues doing the swap myself. All in all, I really enjoyed your vid and respect what you do my guy. Thanks for taking the time to make this and spread the good word about handheld pc gaming!!!
I don't understand why people even entertain the XG Mobile... XG Mobile is literally only for people who have more money than sense. $2k XG Mobile vs $700 GPU+eGPU enclosure, I would take the eGPU every day since it is not a mobile GPU...
I’ve been looking for a replacement for my ps4, stepping away from consoles in general because the ps5 thing was ridiculous and I need something portable. Personally, I refuse to buy the rog ally because of gamers nexus’s video on asus customer support. Doesn’t do me any good to get a device that has known defects and knowing I’ll be extorted when I need something to be fixed. I’m leaning towards the legion go, but the steam deck is also still a contender for me since all I need it to do is play video games with little to no hassle.
you need to work on your audio. your mic is slipping out the whole time and sounds like crap. turn down the gain, improve your mic placement, getting a better mic, or all 3
I actually have a Steam Deck and just recently got the legion Go and I'm gonna say it's pretty fuckin dope I've been playing it more than my deck now. The fact that my legion go came a free month of Xbox game pass is awesome I can just turn on and play without any downloads so yeah legion go is a winner over the Ally 💯
I've got both also but Ally was my 1st :) I didn't decided yet, I 100% agree with you. When I'm playing on Lenovo as handheld, after a while I'm always thinking about Ally how comfortable it is :) Then after play session my mind tells me that Lenovo's got more options, bigger screen, perfect scaling in 800p etc. The cherry on top is 2x USB4 in Legion Go for use with eGPU (I've build my own TB4 and testing it) while on Ally they force us to buy very expensive XG Mobile - USB4 on Ally over USB-C port is disabled :/ To be honest I still don't know which one to keep :) I wish the Ally got USB4 then probably I'd stick with it.
I bought the ally which I love. But I just purchased the legion for the tablet/real laptop feel ya know. I’m keeping both but I believe I’m going to use the legion more
Saw this title and lmao comparing the Go with an Ally Rog is like comparing a mouse with a lion... Go cannot live up to the Rog at all. Having seen lots of stress tests for the Go playing in low settings I have an Ally and upgraded to a 2TB SSD drive + Micro SD extra 250GB as well Ally can play literally anything my £4000 Laptop plays, and other than lower resolutions on the highest end games, it can always handle at least high settings and quite often Ultra too!!! Ally is the KING of handhelds with zero competition to the game.
As somebody who owned both and settled on the GO, they perform the same and even surpass the Ally in a few games due to running cooler. Only good thing about the Ally is Armoury Crate. Plus, I bet you spent more on your Ally than I did on my GO for the same specs. Bought mine from MC with 2TB SSD already installed.
Ally has a better screen. Go is bigger, higher res, but contrast is awful. Very muted blacks and no color pop even when set to vivid mode. Plus, you can’t play Dead Rising 2 because the game doesn’t recognize the Legion controller.
Steam deck has the worst customer service, you can’t even talk to anyone you can only leave a ticket or a voice recording. They will answer you back 3-5 days later 👎🏽
I Love my Legion my guy, great review, hands down Legion is better all around, it's my upgrade coming from the LCD steam deck, which I still have. I personally feel the oled is not a major upgrade compared to the Legion which has a better hardware to run those window games, and the screen on Legion is so superior when gaming, as I wouldn't have to squint an eye to see things.
I think I’ll wait for the next gens of the Legion Go since I believe that they will address alot of these issues after getting such feedback from the users.
@@kevosalinasthis did not last long Lol. I decided to go for it since late 2025 or early 2026 is a long wait and I bought the Legion Go and personally I am super satisfied; screen size, build quality, detachable controllers, & the whole package… aesthetically the Legion Go made more sense to me with the more uniform bezzels & clean design.
They both have pros; Legion GO and ROG Ally can play any game because of Windows, but if you want better battery life, easier emulation, plug and play with Proton, OLED, and universal tutorial videos from TH-cam, ProtonDB, Steam DB, dev support, and accessory support, go for a STEAM DECK! They're basically iPhones that have minimal thinking, and it's a fact. I still love Legion GO and ROG Ally, but they aren't beating the Steam Deck overall.
If proton ran as smooth as widows I would still own my Stem Deck. Unfortunately that hasn’t been my experience with the software so unless steam deck goes windows based then maybe I would be more open to going back to my steam decks arms lol
@@kevosalinas As for my experience yeah it's a hassle, but endless tutorial videos helped alot, but still SD's a secondary device and my main one is the PS5 for new AAA games and sometimes I like to stream it to my SD especially that OLED screen.
Also the Ally has just about as many accessories as the Deck. Dev support is fine on both. Proton can be a bigger pain than just running games on the Ally. Tutorial videos exist on both. Both devices can be very much plug and play and that’s how I treat my Ally and Deck OLED.
I got the ally z1 put a 2tb 2230 in it I got over 1000 retro games running through emudeck emulation station every console you can think of.I love my ally thing is a beast once you optimize it to your liking.Get windows on it lite meaning turn services off not needed and man…..plays anything I throw at it
I own lego, sd lcd and used to have ally but returned it. When youtuber says "avoid steam deck" it means he or she is stupid with 1 active brain cell holding on the last breath (no offense)
@kevosalinas no fr it's the best device for majority of people because most of the consumers not really tech advanced and they want something simple like nintendo switch. SD ofc not as simple but close to it and everything works great. I love lego like crazy and I love tech in general and don't mind tinkering here and there which most of the people don't like to do and when I grab my steam deck it's just feels like it's close to perfection and it's not even oled
@@OleksiiK21 Only a fanboy would say so. Not only it has so many limitations but also has weaker hardware and has only 800p not only that but the community is very toxic because they worship the device like a god. I mean judging a people by not choosing steamdeck is the most toxic people. Its crazy how these people worship a device. Probably because majority of steamdeck owners are kids.
@nathanjuan6042 I'm not judging people by not choosing steam deck. How I already said I own lego and use it more and love it a lot but steam deck it's just something which is special and works like a charm. I agree about limitations but it doesn't affect everyone and it didn't affect me, I play aaa games new and old, games which is not supported as well and everything works perfectly fine and 800p on a small screen is not critical and still looks good especially with oled. i get paied next month and im so excited to get the legion go. im also adding a extra tb card to it even though im getting the 1 tb legion. more space the better i say not that alot of games are becoming veery big. im a pc gamer and handheld, i look forward to the legion. playing my games on the go is awsome. plus sometimes i dont want to be at my desk all day. i saw the steam deck,,so stupid how it dosent support alot of games witch is a rip off. legion will let me play everything and anything. lol yep heard rog ally has alot of issues inclduing it not reading sim card right. like no thanks. plus i just dont like how the rog looks let alone size is not for me. i want the size of the legion. going to be sweet. thanks for ur video man. its good to see new vidoes not old ones.
Heck yeah I hope you enjoy the legion go once you get it!

I think i did’nt make a bad decision buying the rog ally z1 extreme. But the legion go looks amazing too.
I don’t think you made a bad decision at all! Legion go is definitely life though lol
The only problem with the og ally is battery life sucks but there are plenty of people doing battery mods
I play my rog ally at 100fps and 1080p with about 80+% max settings no problem I just leave dust particles shadows and motion blur on min
Heck yeah!
Oh heck yeah nice line up you got there! As much as I love my legion go I always end up playing a crap ton on my switch😂😂😂
wrong about display crispness
1920x1080@7" = 314.7 ppi
2560x1600@8.8" = 343.05 PPI
the legion GO is more crisp; and seeing both in person it is, double check your resolution settings.

I had Ayaneo2, Onexplayer and steamdeck and now I have legiongo 'I will go with legion all day. It is a beast for me

Yo! Sick video man! Working on my own long term review of the Ally Right now haha! Keep up the sick work!

Great vid! In your opinion, with the new ROG Ally X coming out, would you still choose the Legion Go? Would be great to hear your thoughts!
Love my Legion, even thinking of buying the onex egpu, using the 8bitdo ultimate joypad and a sony srs-xb43 bluetooth speaker so no sound issues here
Yoooo that sounds like a good set up!
How would you even do that?
@@Cub__ do what exactly?
I have ally..do i need to upgrade to Lego?
Not really
Unless you find a great deal on a LeGo I would say just hangout with your Ally a tad longer✨❤️
The weight and size of the legion really isn't an issue, I'm a relatively small guy and I just sit back on the couch and rest the console on my lap and hold it up like that, you don't have to grip it tight, I'm short though so this may be awkward for someone taller.
The Deck isn't hot garbage. I prefer the Legion Go and I had all three. However, the Deck is not garbage. 🙄
The deck isn’t, but proton is
@kevosalinas Proton is an amazing tool that brought tons of compatibility for gaming on Linux. It's by no means perfect and needs work but it is not garbage.
I bought the legion 3-4 months ago, and yesterday I walked into a store and they had the ally there so I checked it out. The screen looks so small on the ally compared to the legion. The immersion is on a different level.
Good choice
I am very happy with my decision🙌🏻🔥
Inaccurate review. None of the buttons at the back worked at the time of this review on the Go. You also don’t have to map them
Ummmm ok😅
If 200 grams make difference for You... You need go to the gym bro
Wanna be workout buddies🤍
I have both from day 1. It may not seem like much but the extra 200 grams DOES make a huge difference when playing for an extended period. It also effects how you hold the console. For the Ally I would hold it anyway I want. The only way I like to use the legion is in bed when it's resting on top of my stomach. That said, the Legion IMO still blows away the rog. After play on that Legion Go screen, it's hard to go back.
@@lijimmy80 of course 200gr make a huge difference when playing for a long time.
When holding something for extended period of time I can see why it can be an issue for some. Saying go to the gym doesn’t really change the fact that it’s 200g heavier

Best video on these 2 device.. am a legion go fan everything said in this video is honest and true
over here in Asia the go is $200 more than ally so the choice is pretty obvious. The legion go software is also not matured yet, I heard basic stuff like bypass charging is not possible on this thing. The controller also had many awkward buttons. The only good stuff is the 8.8 screen but its too sexy I would also pick the go if only Lenovo don't charge such a hefty price for it.
The charging limit, button remapping etc. is already released.
Yeah they are asking for quite some money for the handheld!
@@kevosalinas In Norway Rog Ally and Legion Go cost the exact same price. 900$.
Steam Deck 512.GB cost 1200$ here and is by far the most expensive handheld.
@@V3ntilator1200$? In a retail store? Doesn't Valve ship to Norway? Or are they charging a "You're a rich country"-tax?
@@fairphoneuser9009 Valve don't ship to countries not member of EU. They don't ship to 50% of European countries.
I have no clue where the local stores here are getting Steam Decks.
They did sell out the old Steam Decks for only 400$ awhile ago to get rid of stock and only sell OLED version now at insane prices.
Asus, Lenovo, Acer, HP etc. have normal prices, because they ship globally.
I think all three handhelds offer something for me. Great time to be a gamer.
Best thing I did with my Legion Go was wiping Windows in favour of Bazzite (Steam OS for non-Steam Deck devices). To each their own.
I've been using Legion Go for a while. And I'm loving it for portable, not only game, but also PC. With additional portable keyboard I used it to code on cafe. I can even debug on bus/subway train with only touchscreen keyboard.
I really like the practicality of this. I think I’ll go Ally. Mainly using it docked and it’s cheaper.
The ally is the king of gen 1
It’s a very hard handheld to beat tbh
@@kevosalinas yeah it’s the complete package and does everything very well. Software and hardware wise. Can’t wait to see what they do with gen 2
It was so hard to choose either one for me and im pretty sure if i didnt come across the GO for sale at $150 off i wouldnt have even got either one... The ally looks so sick and its probably runs games a little bit better but finding the more expensive item for less money than the other was a no brainer
The dissed on the steam is crazy my guy I think if your a beginner to handhelds PCs then a steam deck will work just fine
FINALLY someone said don’t buy the steam deck when you buy these actually pc that don’t have compatibility issues and can run all your pc games
I have all 3. Steamdeck, Rog Ally and LeGO.
Love my LeGO.
I got Ally because i already have 3080 XG Mobile before i have ally, and now my flow z13 kinda compete with ally for single XG Mobile 😂
Nice set up!
Lost me at the Ally being "super comfortable" 😂
Just using the back nuttons to swith weapons and recharge, actually i wouldn't really miss them anyways if there weren't any

Lovely video bro. You actually comapred both in details. But...... I prefer the Ally its just the perfect fit. I own both so i know.
7" is just too small (thats what she said) for a great gaming experience imo. Great vid thx 🔥
Have you used the ally?
@@NoMoreLies365 yes
How are you enjoying it? I am thinking of getting one.
@@CobraF1dose the no vrr or vvr effect you
@@Shadythedrifter No it doesn't affect me.
"i kinda love it tho" XD

I got 3 months game pass with my legion go purchase. I haven't claimed it yet but it did come with it
2 back buttons are enough for me. But thats just for me just like 4 is better for you. I have the rog ally and ive had it for about 2 weeks now. This is my first introduction into the PC gaming world. And I'm finding myself playing the rog more than my PS5. ❤❤.
yo ill cop that rog ally off you, how much you sellin it for homie?
Tip: mic improvement.
Yeah idk what was with my mic that day but it sounded like a potato😂
Great video thanks
I’ve switched back and forth so many times now that I’m starting to call them the Lenovo Legion Ally and the Asus ROG Go 😅
mic is throwing me off
Steam Deck is literally better in almost every aspect than these two.
I also had some of those sleep issues on the Ally as well!
The Audio / MIC quality is soo bad in this video ….
I've bought legion go and I'm looking forward to getting it this Sunday. But if it's with the Z1 processor, it'll go back to its vendor)))
Been trying to talk my wife int letting me get an Ally now for weeks, lol.
Just do it😈 hahahahah jkjk
I chose the legion go and am so glad i did its amazing once you get adrenaline software working
you need to work on your audio. your mic is slipping out the whole time and sounds like crap. turn down the gain, improve your mic placement, getting a better mic, or all 3
I don't even use the back buttons therefore the Asus ROG Ally is perfect. 👍
Just bought the legion go 😎😎😎😎
I've got both also but Ally was my 1st :) I didn't decided yet, I 100% agree with you.
Wait for the Ally refresh (you probably know about it already). It is supposed to get a full USB4 port. And improve on other things.

Ally can play literally anything my £4000 Laptop plays, and other than lower resolutions on the highest end games, it can always handle at least high settings and quite often Ultra too!!!
Ally is the KING of handhelds with zero competition to the game.
In what game though?
As somebody who owned both and settled on the GO, they perform the same and even surpass the Ally in a few games due to running cooler.
Only good thing about the Ally is Armoury Crate.
Plus, I bet you spent more on your Ally than I did on my GO for the same specs. Bought mine from MC with 2TB SSD already installed.

Ally has a better screen. Go is bigger, higher res, but contrast is awful. Very muted blacks and no color pop even when set to vivid mode. Plus, you can’t play Dead Rising 2 because the game doesn’t recognize the Legion controller.

Thank you so much! Legion go is definitely the top tier windows based gaming device in my opinion!

I think I’ll wait for the next gens of the Legion Go since I believe that they will address alot of these issues after getting such feedback from the users.
Yeah they were already talking about the 2nd gen Legion go recently! I think it’ll be dropping late 2025 or early 2026 watch!
I have all 3. Go is too big to hold, other than that its a great device.
Steamdeck is not even close to ROG Ally and Legion go. Not only it has weaker hardware and a 800p screen but also has a lot of limitations.
Emulation is the same on both the deck and Ally in terms of ease of use. Emu deck is available on both windows and SteamOS
Also the Ally has just about as many accessories as the Deck. Dev support is fine on both. Proton can be a bigger pain than just running games on the Ally. Tutorial videos exist on both. Both devices can be very much plug and play and that’s how I treat my Ally and Deck OLED.
