I’ve never taken Suboxone but I was on methadone for 17 years I’m on day 18 of not being on it and tapering is so crucial to making it not as bad but I agree with you 100% if it’s easy to just stop using whatever medication it is, then it would make it easier for you just to go back on it if it’s painful, then you’ll think twice about taking it again.

Congratulations on being off for 18 days. Keep it going! How are your withdrawals?

@@SuboxoneRecovery-kd3it today is day 24. Honestly I feel so much better. The only issue I’ve had really is with sleep but I’m averaging about six hours of sleep per night so I can’t complain. Other than that I feel like I have a low energy but I’d much rather deal with that than be back on that medicine again.

@ChillingWithMel22 Good for you girl. I too was on methadone for over 10+ years. I am now about 85 days off. Jumped off at 1mg. The sleep and exhaustion is the rough part now. I wake at 2-3 am nightly and don't get back to sleep for a few hours. So probably 4 or so hours a night. I'm still trucking along though. It's nice to find someone else going through the same thing

I’m on day 6 from around 8 to 16 mg a day for a little over a year. I didn’t really start feeling withdrawal until the 4th night. It’s mostly just no sleep and nerve pain in my arms and legs and no energy. I know I should’ve tapered down but didn’t really plan on stopping. I took a week vacation from work and realized 3 days into it I haven’t taken anything and decided to keep going. Hopefully I can stick it out

You can do it! You will start feeling significantly better around week two. You'll just feel drained of energy, and you'll mostly likely have sleep starting to return around 1 month. Just keep sticking it out, it's well worth it, and gets so much better!
