Pep hasn't ruined football; his clones did! To Pep's credit, he can confidently say its HIS style, HIS philosophy. The problem though is that his success with this style has spawned unimaginative, uncreative coaches who just think by copying Pep's method, they will automatically garner success. The Pep clones need to find their own niche and then we will see a paradigm shift in football. One final note: I wouldn't say Pep has destroyed individualism but he does contain it and purpose it in a way that suits his tactical plan for a game or a moment in the game. For example, I've seen Pep substitute in Doku, who is a 1v1 specialist with great flair and pace, so that the Man City attack can have some unpredictability to it and create scoring chances against a stubborn defensive team. So in conclusion, Pep's clones have ruined football and they need to answer to the fans for being copycats!
Exactly This is what happened in every league he coached which then became the norm throughout the world! Former German cpts Ballack and Schweinsteiger once talked about how German teams copied pep's style and lost their identity Pep on the other hand perfected his own craft and no copy cat can come close to him! Which is why we see small national teams beating the big teams more often and by much bigger margins these days Predictable teams, no matter how strong are easier to best than unpredictable ones, no matter how small they are!
Man City football is the most entertaining to me. The players do what you want them to do unlike other teams with no sense of structure and understanding
Ppl who are saying Pep ruined football, they are either Leo or Ronnie fans. And they will never say those two ruined football having dominated the game over the decades.
Underrated video you actually explained about the actual tactics not like other youtubers who just with similar titles explains only about history, success and trophy counts , great work mate.!
Few details are clearly wrong. Never before were so many goals scored in the league. Pre-Pep many matches were decided by set pieces. City have double the amount of outside the box goals than any other team in the league during Pep. KDB has flourished during his time, with the range of passing that's so mesmerizing to watch. And the ultimate stat- Pep has the highest goals/game ratio than any coach in history. So this video kinda misleads everyone.
Pep has not ruined it's the people copying him if he changes his tactics to make everyone's individual talents show which he's currently do as he brought doku and savio the other clubs would copy him
the main reason england made it to the final is because they had an easy route like always playing only shit teams and once they face a good one.. they lose.
I like his style after all it is far better than watching kick and rush which is just plain awful, or Howard Wilkinson's Sheffield Wednesday who played a lot of Offside and Wimbledon with the crazy gang.
To say Pep limits creativity is bizzare, I think he gets the best out of his players and plays them in unusual positions which also makes his style of play somewhat unpredictable. He uses his wingers creatively, also fullbacks. City's midfeild is stacked with potential and with KDB on the ball you can always expect creativity. His system allows for controlled choas which is very enjoyable to watch, I say so as a fan. There have been instances of games being painfully long and boring but I can say that about any club in the world.
Good analysis but there is one little detail that you wrong .... At 7:22 it says "... Spanish head coach " refering to Pep Guardiola. Pep is NOT spanish, but CATALAN.
Legally, he's spanish, but he doesn't consider himself spanish, personally. I'm spanish but I respect that. Catalunya having a culture of its own is an arguable thing
Carlos Ancelloti and Juergen Klopp always know how to beat the hell of Pep's Man City. Liverpool usually pressed City until they choked. At the period of Firminho, Salah and Mane, Liv always beat man city and score many goals too. Real Madrid always have the solutions on how to beat City as long as they still have Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr and Modric.
Cant wait for Pep to win another title, extend his City stay and ruin football even more 😄😄😄😄

People don't understand Pep. He actually makes players better. He has perfected football.
Basically anyone who can run and kick the ball will become a football player
Ppl who are saying Pep ruined football, they are either Leo or Ronnie fans. And they will never say those two ruined football having dominated the game over the decades.
Pep is not good he is a bad person he doesn't like black people so wicked
Leo ou Ronnie are coaches now?

True! He’s certainly brought some much needed structure to the sport.

the same thing
It's almost spain, Catalan is a Spanish region 😂, don't get emotional about it
Legally, he's spanish, but he doesn't consider himself spanish, personally. I'm spanish but I respect that. Catalunya having a culture of its own is an arguable thing
Sports scientists must be very happy Pep gets all the blame
My question is, why has someone like ancelotti stuck to his own philosophy of playing football???
Now he need to coach a national ream to prove his ultimate dominance
Its not peps fault. Ask the ones who cannot come up with a cryptonite to neutralise him
Yet manchester City have been the most watched football team for two years running according to Neilsen! Obviously not that boring.

lol very funny mancity won head to head against real madrid
Fire video!!! Looking forward to seeing more 🔥
More to come! 🤝
Pep didn’t ruin football it’s all the bums who are copying him
You off fire with fire it's not a copy it's principle
Yet his teams scored most goals in last 6 seasons , hows this boring unless you support the other team.
