I HIGHLY recommend defunct gear. Most of my studio is from repairs. You'll save gazillion dollars if you learn basics of electronic repairs. Check my channel for other trash to treasure transformations.

They're all over, I highly recommend searching your area for your county's e-waste plant. They often have public days or warehouses you can pick from.
