This is not known as the dog bone, the dog bone shaped controller is... just saying
does that first soldering gun have a sucker built in? I should get one. I always struggle working with boards
Its a solder vacuum. The tip is an iron and it vacuums the solder into a chamber in the gun.
What cables did you use to create the jumpers? are the wires already there a repair someone did before? Also, how did you determine which points needed jumping? I'm a complete novice
Use a multimeter. It'll have a lead test function where you press the positive and negative probes into contacts on the board. If it beeps it's a complete circuit and you're good. You have to look very very closely at the board and follow the copper leads in board to determine where they surface. I traced those leads in a previous video so I already knew where to connect the jumpers.
Peep that process here. th-cam.com/video/bcyF6emhQEw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=-lHi26carqCGf-rC
@@studiopaisley6039 Great thanks man. Going to get stuck in soon
I'm on this same journey. Thanks for this, hoping you cover everything I need to do with mine! Are you going to upload the part where you create the jumpers for the corroded traces?
Killer timing. Just accomplished and recorded that process last night! Gotta edit down the footage. Stay tuned!
As promised! th-cam.com/video/UDfon2ItjoM/w-d-xo.html
@@studiopaisley6039legendary! Nice one 🙏🏽
congrats on making it happen. Back when i started to repair mine, i initially gave up because of the notoriously unreadable bad scan of the service manual. Did you manage to get a better quality one?
Nope. No manual. Just blood, sweat, tears, and luck. I've a few reddit wizards making suggestions in r/synthesizers along with a few dozen solder projects under my belt. I'm winging it!
@@studiopaisley6039 haha awesome!
Getting wild! th-cam.com/video/UDfon2ItjoM/w-d-xo.html
I didn't recognize your stairs...she is saying, "NO"
Takes a lot of patience, but so worth it in the end
Holey Moley! What a project!
Just came across this video of a box being built by someone I can’t see
Such a cool video!!
No u ❤
The Trigon-6 seems like a very versatile and accessible synth from that short segment. What was your experience with it?
My experience was about as short as you saw. I didn't get to dive other patches to get a feel for the variation, but it seemed to be a killer dance stab device and capable of some fun leads
As soon as I saw this, I thought of u!
I remember I saw that copper brillo thing, thanks for the demo
That device was from Soma. In short the triangle in the middle controlled pan and filters. Everything else was patched via electro touch, so your body acts as a filter. It was such a cool sound box! Definitely want to incorporate some of those ideas into my next device
Beautiful way to end the recap. Love how the Cosmos and the harp sound together.
Thank you! That's Mount Wright and Yellowstone at the end. Glad you stuck around for the whole show!
Yeah, I've played with loopers with granular sound engines before, but this one was really special. I ended up buying it.
Where the heck r u?
Fury Road with Mad Max
What do I need to connect the box to a DAW?
th-cam.com/video/tWrAwRfTxpQ/w-d-xo.html I use an USB audio interface. But that video shows various signal paths
Love the face😅
U captured the beauty!!!
Which xbox joystick did you use
Tomsin sticks worked great!. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BG2KCCL7?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title Gotta keep an eye out for the red ones!
Sox vs yanks ?? Should be a disgrace if they ain’t red my boy
Free ticket are free tickets. I ain't turning down a free box regardless of who's on the field lol
Very cool!
He's not a plane guy, so we'll probably never know
C123 Provider? Maybe
Really appreciate this video, man! Gave me a good heads up of what to expect when I was cracking open my Proteus and adding some more ROM sticks. Thank you!
Oh sweet! What did you add? Those ROM packs on eBay are enticing
❤
total genius!!!
Thank you very much! I just finished a move, so once the studio is back in action; much more to come!!
@@studiopaisley6039 totally mean it! excellent work.
amazing video, I have been sim-racing for ages, your video is truly one of the best, maybe I will give VR a try. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it! I really appreciate your comment! Thanks for viewing!

Good luck !

Wow, thank you so much for the encouragement! I want to let you know, these live videos are but a small part of a much larger audio project I'm working on. So stay tuned for more exploration livestreams! And eventually the culmination of all these bizarre samples and trigging shenanigans.

I received an NES Max for Christmas in maybe 1990. I still remember how frustrating that thing was, but I loved it for its weirdness. I've always had a soft spot for odd input devices. This is a pretty cool mod, considering the actual profile of the controller was quite comfortable. That disk was the pooburt, though
Tomsin sticks FTW! www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0BG2KCCL7?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
The Nes max is not known as the dog bone... the dog bone controller came with the model 2 Nes top loader.
Correct.
I stand corrected! Now I've another controller to collect and make a video about! I always thought this controller was bad to the bone. Thanks for the heads up!
I am having flashbacks! Great job!
WHERE can I get me a high tech super daw?? This multi effects unit is a retro beast. So cool learning it had an expansion card as well. I use my rc 505 and mpc live 2 for dsp but if I had more room I'd love to add one of these to the hardware rack. Awesome stuff dude😎
HTSD is proprietary. I'm under NDA and run a risk even showing you THAT much. And thanks for the comment, I've fallen in love with 90's gear. It's cheap and readily available if you know where to look ;)
Dude, we totally used to hold the reset button to power off. I forgot all about that! I always wondered how necessary it actually was
I never knew!! But with fresh batteries and that new knowledge, I'm going to be way more confident in trying to beat Link!

Great video, bro. You deserve more views
Thank you!! I'm just out here for the love of the game.
Ok, but it´s weird that nothing happens the first ten (!!) or more minutes. People don´t have the time to watch a one hour video that easily could have been edited down to say 8 minutes. Structure, structure, structure, please.
Just for you, I boiled down my last live stream into something more aligned to your suggestion. th-cam.com/video/_SFMbuKRGBM/w-d-xo.html On this channel, my live streams are highly experimental. The videos are usually baked down into easier to digest segments. Hope you enjoy this cut! Thanks for watching!

This would be GREAT for ritual-martial musick! Music to play in a war... Loved every beat of it!
Thank you! Check the channel for other oddities and subscribe to make sure you don't miss the next Noise Box orchestration.
It won't be long before people will need electro stimulus devices to shock their minds into releasing endorphins and all of the other happy chemicals that come from the thrill of being alive. Humanity might see a revolution 30 years from now where people are picking up real instruments and forcing themselves to compose and improvise... and getting high as a kite off of it.
Maybe. Or, this AI tool is nothing more than a calculator. I think calculus is incredibly difficult, but you add a calculator, and it becomes easier. I think these AI tools are just the same as adding a calculator to homework.
AI represents the death of everything I loved and put value in. The death of the only things that kept me going; the only things I believed in. AI is the death of my purpose and belief system.
Amen to that Brother Beavis.
People have said that about ALOT of technological developments. There was a time when people thought steam engine locomotives allowed people to move at neck breaking speeds of 15 mph.
This is some bitch made whiney baby shit.
