I’ve collected a ton of old toy instruments from thrift stores and aside from sampling them here and there, I’ve never really known what to do with them. Now I know EXACTLY what to do with them. This is one of the cooler noise boxes I’ve seen, great work man.

I want to say that watch this gave me some new ideas for the projects I have in the building process. I would like to see more details about your process of building noise machines.
Thanks for the interest! I’m always looking for things to make music with so I never have a shortage of all kinds odd and interesting things to use. Testing everything pre-build I think is important. The stuff I liked most kinda told me how the build would go. The recycled shelf I used for the box also had a say - it’s a good size but I still had to edit myself based on the space it provided. I also work on multiple things at a time so that’s how some of the devices got incorporated. It’s similar with circuit bending. The device tells me what I should do based on the bends I find. I don’t know if you could call it a process but if you have any more questions I will do my best to answer.
Amazing instrument! I have built a smaller one with a sampler from a parrot toy as a looper and a cheap karaoke machine for Piezo amplification and echo. Since then I've been collecting springs and all kind of noise making objects,devices and circuits. One day I will build my own ultimate noise box.

never use flux - when soldering - you wiull really mess everything up with that flux boy ill tell ya . the world will end , if you use plumbers flux . like the cheap stuff that comes in a kentukey chicken bucket for 2.99 at menards . yeah that tub of flux will haunt you till the day you die . it makes the act of soldering much more challenging if one uses flux .
