- This is another Greatest Games program which I don't believe was ever offered for sale by NFL Films. I got this copy from Hulu back in 2011. Upscaled to 1080p and sharpened it using Topaz and adjusted minor color and contrast with Resolve
One player in this game who I think deserves more consideration for Canton than he gets is the Bronco center Tom Nalen.
He ultimately blocked for six players who rushed for 1,000 yards or more, and a lot of top ten, even top five offenses and running games.
Nalen is eligible to get inducted through the normal writers ballot, but wasn’t even in the preliminary 25 last year.
Great Super Bowl between two excellent teams, thanks for uploading!
Agreed. He was an A+ center that executed Shanahan's ZBS effortlessly.
@@astrostar49He definitely executed the blocking scheme well.
For the record, the 25 players who were in the semifinal round who the writers picked over Nalen were the following:
Eric Allen
Jared Allen
Willie Anderson
Tiki Barber
Anquan Boldin
Jahari Evans
London Fletcher
Dwight Freeney
Antonio Gates
Eddie George
James Harrison
Rodney Harrison
Devin Hester
Torry Holt
Andre Johnson
Robert Mathis
Julius Peppers
Steve Smith
Fred Taylor
Hines Ward
Ricky Watters
Reggie Wayne
Vince Wilfork
Patrick Willis
Darren Woodson
Don’t get me wrong, nothing against any of those players at all; several of whom will make Canton eventually and deservedly so.
But at minimum Nalen should get some more serious consideration than he’s gotten, and I say he belongs.
No offensive lineman on that list? @@fortynights1513

It was on espn+ for a few years but they took down most of their nfl stuff about 2 years ago
One of the best SBs ever. I always wished NFL Films had done more with Greatest Games/Game of the Week, they were by far my two favorite programs they offered. And yes, I miss them all being on Hulu.
Oh my goodness yessssss buddy!!! I'm not a Broncos fan, but I salute you good sir!!!! 🫡 This is a top 5 Super Bowl for me, and I really liked the Shanahan-era Broncos due to the 49ers connection. Was so happy they trounced the Packers this day with Elway finally getting that ring. Thanks for posting this HD rendition of this production!!! 👏👏👏
The day the NFC’s aura of Super Bowl invincibility was shattered
Thanks for uploading! My favorite NFL’s greatest games episode of all time. Go Broncos!
Love this one Dave, one of my absolute favorite Super Bowls....especially given how good i knew Denver was and how i knew Favre wasnt invincible when he was close to that level....wish the NFL had done more greatest games during this era
What a Great Super Bowl this wasn't even a fan of either team. Just a simply "Awesome Super Bowl" with the perfect backdrop narrative leading up to the game of Super Bowl 32 did not disappoint great 👍
this was and I wasn't even a fan of-typo.
Super Bowl XXXII would mark the end of the NFC's domination and the beginning of the AFC's Super Bowl run. From SB 32 thru SB 58, the AFC was on the winning side of the Super Bowl in 17 of the last 27.
Thank you, I don't remember the last time I saw this. This and The Catch II between the Packers and 49ers were ones I had recorded and watched a lot.
You're welcome Jeremy. I had also enhanced 'Catch II' and the 1995 AFC Championship Greatest Games shows, but unfortunately they both were blocked for copyright when I uploaded them
The moment everybody came here to see starts at 36:08.
You're welcome.
On a more serious note: I'd love to see Mr. Volsky take a crack at the NFL's Greatest Games video of the 1983 NFC championship game, AKA "The Forgotten Classic." And yes, being a fellow 49ers faithful, it might cause some emotional trauma to remaster one of SanFran's most heartbreaking losses. But sometimes, you just gotta take one for the team.
@@BAYAREA-kd1ig Don't forget Phony-Niners. That was one I heard from fellow students at my south-bay high school in the early 90s, primarily from Raiders fans...
...AKA the Hell-A Faders, Chokeland Traitors, and the Liti-gaiders, the latter one inspired by the constant legal battles between Al Davis and the NFL back in the day.
On another note: Holy crap, the talented Mr. Volsky read my mind and has uploaded the 1983 NFC championship Greatest Games video! CHeck it out at th-cam.com/video/GeKNRnk_2XQ/w-d-xo.html
I hated John Elway in the 80s. By the time this Super Bowl rolled around i found myself rooting for him. The Elway helicopter cemented my reversal in feelings for him.😊
This is a fantastic channel!
Another player that should be inducted to canton is Schlereth
He won three super bowls with two of the NFLs best football teams of the 1990s not named Aikman’s Cowboys or Favre’s 96 Packers
Broncos of 98 & 99
91 Redskins (who had Art Monk, Russ Grimm & Darrell Green, all three are HOF inductees
I won 30 dollars from my high school classmates in my senior year
Vince Lombardi must’ve been smiling down at the Broncos this night. Old school NFL power football well executed by an AFC team.
My niners winning the Super Bowl that year would have been better
One of the WORST Super Bowls ever!!!!
(Life long Packer fan.....)
