@@TheRealRickyShow of course he played with many good teammates...he played for 20yrs...what u seem to overlook is the fact that only 2 of those players were his teammate for even as long as a decade...0HOF RBs-he got 1great yr out of DIllon-1 HOF WR-Moss-for 2seasons 1HOF TE-Gronk_ who was on and off the field with injuries frequently for a decade...Revis for 1yr gilmore for a few law for only a few adam v for merely 5...Bruschi was on a all pro or pro bowl level for merely 4yrs at best harrison merely for2yrs asante merely for almost 2yrs dillon merely once a.brown not even 1 full season portions of 2 seasons and if Brown hadnt melted down Brady would likely have 8rings instead of 7...mankins wasnt a HOFer at all he never will be...he was a competent guard who provided the worst performance of his career during the most important game of his career and despite being a memebr of that franchise during Bradys career NEVER won a ring either...neither Dillon McGinest Welker Amendola Edelman L.David Bruschi etc are ever going to be HOFers, and none of those I just mentioned who won a SB would have won 1, let alone several, if they hadnt been Bradys teammate.
Newflash all QBs who win SBs do so with top tier defenses what u fail to understand is that Brady spent the last decade+ of his career tilting the field for his defense and making their jobs much easier while being the reason his team failed or cost their team the game less often than any QB EVER...A QBs 1st job is to not be the reason his team loses...All of those great players you named won 0times without Tom Brady except for Adam V and he won elsewhere only because he joined forces with another alltime great HOF QB in Indy.
Law was a part of a great defense in 96 but their QB threw 4ints in the SB despite having a great TE a great WR core and a HOF RB...Law went to the NYJ and then the Chiefs after leaving NE and he spearheaded an alltime great defensive performance when KC had to go to Indy for the AFC wildcard game in jan07 picked Peyton off 2 times and ran em both back to within 10yds of the endzone, but his offense led by Trent Green scored merely 3pts off those turnovers and Indy won the game then went onto win the SB...
Many QBs have seemingly had all the pieces around them necessary to win yet failed to come thru...Elways Broncos in 96 for example had no business losing to the Jags...Peytons Colts in 2005 had all the necessary components seemingly a great defense a solid oline 2future HOF WRs a future HOF RB and a kicker who rarely missed...Bottom line in Brady made it to the SB almost half the time and won 70% of the times he got there...Despite playing against top tier defenses in the SB in 01 03 04 07 2011 2014 etc in 10SB appearances he only had 1truly bad individual performance...Many other HOF QBs needed 2 SB appearances or less to have a bad SB performance...
He played for 20+yrs and won 6 of his 7 SB wins with 0HOF WRs to throw it to...Gronk-the only future HOFer Tom won a ring with was only on the field for 3 of Toms 7SB wins and was wayyy past his prime for the last 2 of them...All QBs who put up numbers or win SBs have talented teammates around them, but many of them fail to win as often as he did even when surrounded by the necessary pieces...
Im impressed by how someone who has achieved absolutely nothing in life to hang their hat on is so blatantly obsessed with denigrating the single athlete who has not only achieved more than any1 else in team sports since B.Russell but given his physical limits/raw talent has overachieved more than perhaps any athlete in the history of sports...
Hate to break it to you but the Pats would have 0Lombardi trophies without Tom Brady, Tampa would have only 1 SB win-SB37...Players like R.Seymour wouldnt be in the HOF, and players like Bruschi McGinest Law Revis Gilmore David Wilfork Millloy Harrison Dillon Asante would own as many SB rings combined as L.Mankins owns...
Warner in SB36 had 2HOF WRs a HOF and league MVP RB a HOF LT a great defense and an explosive STs unit but he still turned the ball over repeatedly and prevented the Rams from ever becoming a dynasty...R.Wilson also had plenty of talent around him in S49 when he threw the ball to Malcolm Butler who wasnt even the starter and was absolutely not a HOFer...There was never a point when Tom was surrounded by a complete, healthy team yet failed to win the SB...In S42 Toms oline was badly injured and provided what may be the worst performance any oline ever provided him with...During SB46 his best and only HOF teammate was relegated to playing the role of decoy because of a badly sprained ankle...Brady wasnt alone in costing his team that game, but without a healthy Gronk that offense as good as it was was incomplete, couldnt stretch the field...
That bit about him never preventing a team that should have won the SB from doing so-I cant say thats true about any other QB...I watched Aaron Rodgers come up small in playoff losses even when his team had enough around him to win...Saw it happen with Steve Young in SF several times...Tom had sooo many opportunities to become too slow2react too careless too aggressive too inaccurate or too inattentive to detail to avoid screwing up 1too many times and become the scapegoat yet with less godgiven raw talent than any of the others due to hard work and dedication instead turned himself into the GOAT...u may as well bow down2him since given the control he has over your thoughts and actions..
The Atlanta Super Bowl was like a movie. It cemented him. He won another. But then going to the Bucs, in that first year, new conference, no training camp, no pre-season because of covid. He wills them to the playoffs and he takes them through Brees, Rodgers and absolutely demolishes Mahomes in the Super Bowl. It was, again, like a movie. He was Jordan clutch. It was a privilege to watch him for his entire career. I firmly believe he had at least one more in him. But I respect his decision. The GOAT.
As a Colts fan I had a special hate for Brady and the Patriots for a long ass time. He derailed us in the Playoffs so many times, especially in the AFC championship. When he went to Tampa Bay and won that 7th SB though, even I had to fully acknowledge that he's 100% the fckin GOAT. As much as I love Peyton Manning, Tom Brady was just able to beat him when it really counted too often.

He had arguably the best QB/WR Combo ever with Moss & the best QB/TE with Gronk. Where both of these probably fed off each others energy, elevating one another.
Yeah but they were never a combo. 2010 was Gronks 1st year. He started 11 games but Moss was out after like 3 games because NE had salary cap issues. Tom was willing to restructure his contract but it still wasnt enough to keep Moss. Idk the exact details but I think NE was only going to or able to pay him 1/3 with or w/out the restructing but whatever it was it wasnt enough so when Gronk started to break out Randy was already gone but what might have been. Moss bounced around to 2 other teams that year playing about a half season and only played in a cpl more games in SF the next year b4 he retired. I'd imagine the lights out SB was probably a huge sign it was time to retire considering being on the undefeated Pats and 15-1 Vikings . Pats hadnt lost since the previous season b4 that SB game and Gary Anderson hadnt Missed a FG since the prior season when he shanked a gimme. It really was the lights going out on Moss both in that game and ironically his career. Sorry for the rant but its crazy just how close he got and who knows what would have happened had he stayed.

Yeah it's pretty insane when you think about it. Brady had more Super Bowl games than most players have playoff games. Who else can say they've played in 10 fckin Super Bowls, and won 7 of them? He also went to 13 fckin AFC championships! Its INSANE. As a Colts fan, I had a special hatred for Brady and the Pats. Once Tom won that 7th SB though, there was absolutely no denying that he wasn't the GOAT.
@@undeadarmy19 10 conference championships in 22 years is absurd. Having Brady on your team essentially gave your team a 50% chance of going to the superbowl.....until he was FORTY-FIVE. Unreal. But my favorite stats from him are approx. -200 rushing yards from victory kneels and most amount of touchdowns to different receivers. He had a rotating offensive core throughout the years and could still muster wins and playoff appearances, nevermind superbowl runs.
As a kid if you told me my favorite player would end up winning 7 total rings and play until I moved into my own house I wouldn’t believe you. Greatest of all time.

Even drove to Houston with no tickets and no hotel room just to be there. Watched the Super Bowl in a Houston bar and still made it back in time for the parade :) You brought so much, to so many people. There will never be another you, and there will never be another set of all those teammates like you had when you played with NE. I was also lucky enough to be at the home opener this year when you once again ran out on that field. Shout out to my friends with season tickets!! I know the chances of you actually seeing this are slim to none but, have to take a chance in case you do. You are truly the greatest of all time and forever a Patriot!

UNFORGETTABLE . I'm 74 and have watched him play from his 1st SB until his last game that I couldn't watch because it was that ! The most impressive thing to me is how the PLAYERS he played with and against regard him as a human being and man first and great athlete 2nd .On the field he was Smart ,tough and all through his career Classy on and OFF the field where it really matters . He is just one of the guys despite his greatness treating everyone the same ! Thank-you for it ALL Tom !

I had the privilege of watching him live through his career. To me, what separated him the most was his composure under pressure. No matter how deep of a hole the team was in, he played with composure. each throw, each play was taken like it was in practice. That attribute of him relaxed me many times when i witnessed his 50+ comeback wins in the 4th. I always felt we were in it because he didnt roll on the ground and flop and point fingers. He was always calm or extremely pissed to which i felt even more relaxed because a pissed off tom was usually deadly with the deep ball and took more chances rather than be conservative. Watching him sling it deep with the bucs offence was a treat
He eclipsed the entire history of the NFL in his career... We'll never see this again. More SB Victories than any franchise has. More SB Appearances. AND started with an organization that had 0 Super Bowl victories. THEN goes to the franchise with the worst win % of all-time. Losing record. New division. New conference. No true off-season. Wins SB and SB MVP... which he also has the most of. This on top of just insane countless records and comebacks.
The NFL that Brady played in was geared towards the passing game. He was protected. His receivers were protected. The NFL of the 60's, 70's and 80's were brutal. QBs had to run for their lives.
This is an amazing little movie to commemorate Tom Brady’s career…. But my lord, can we appreciate Randy Moss for a second and what a generational talent he was? These catches he’s making are absolutely astounding. What a duo they were

There are not enough superlatives in any language to describe Tom Brady. I had the honor to watch him play since he became a Starter. There were some downs (18-1 for one) and even more highs. My personal favourite, "Brady is nothing without Belichick", goes to the Buccs, wins the Superbowl. Thank you Tom Brady for all those years of enjoyment!!!
Had a lot of bias against him growing up as I was a Rams/ Kurt Warner fan and also grew up in NC (watching the Panthers play) after he won those first two super bowls, I decided to hate him all the way until he left New England. To be fair, I never knew his story or how hard he worked to get what he achieved. After he came to Tampa, one of my other favorite teams as it was the first Super Bowl I remember watching with my dad (SB XXXVII) with the Bucs, I was shocked for one, and two I didn’t know what to think. Once I went through all my research and learned about this guy, I started to admire him and his hard work and dedication to winning. He’s definitely some one people should aspire to be like.
Today I am huge fan of his and respect him as a player, leader, teammate, and a family man. I still staying with my Bucs, regardless of if Tom decides to go somewhere else but I appreciate everything he’s done for us and for the game of football. Go Bucs!

This was an awesome tribute to Mr. Tom Brady ( The Greatest Of All Time). He went into the NFL with a chip on his shoulder for being disrespected to being the most awesome and dominating player of all time. No one will ever surpass what he has done and accomplished. That's how you get back at all your doubters and haters. You go out and prove them all wrong. Many well wishes for him in whatever he decides to do. Football won't be the same without him.
I disagree. He played during a time when the game (and the rules of the game) emphasized passing. All of the rules of the game was geared to encouraged the passing game. No roughing the QB; defensive backs could no longer use their hands; referees became much more lenient on letting receivers push off of DBs. No helmet to helmet contact. Even putting a finger on the QB will result in a penalty. Brady would have gotten killed had he played in the 60's and 70's, with Staubach, Bradshaw, Tarkenton, etc.

Watching this man retire felt like a part of me dying. Ik it's stupid but I'm 26, grew up and lived in Boston my whole life and grew up watching all these Patriot teams. I had 4 Superbowls and 3 wins (5 and 4 wins counting the Bucs') from my senior year in high school thru my early years as a wage slave. I'll never forget driving around Worcester MA celebrating the super bowl 51 comeback with everyone we saw. And then watching the games leading up to the rams super bowl felt so special because I figured they'd be our last. Then winning with the Bucs his first year with them, during covid -- idk how you can say he's not the goat.

I didn’t even know about his early career, I just knew what he was capable of so I disliked him. And then I watched the 2nd part of his career play out, the last 4 Super Bowls, I grew up and I realized that this man is the greatest to ever play the game. And how could I hate that?

Brady is the GOAT, for sure. Nobody worked as hard or had nearly the same drive and dedication he had. That being said, how many QB's playing today, MaHomes, Burrows, Allen, Etc etc, could do what Brady did if they would only model themselves after him. The problem is, even with the mountains of evidence put there showing that putting in the time and determination can give a person the abilities they need to succeed, they still don't do it.

i started watching the NFL just when Brady moved to Tampa Bay. So it's really weird, to me anyway, seeing him in Patriots blue for most of this. Not to mention him actually rushing and being agile (by his standards) in the beginning.

I agree. It’s going to be hard adapting to this new era of qbs. Only one we really have left as of rn is rodgers, Flacco (who looks to retire rather soon as he’s kinda rusty), and, stafford who is going to retire in like 2 seasons. I remember I had a discussion with this about someone and they told me people were like that in the mid 80s/90s era when guys like aikman, Marino, elway, young etc retired. Little did we know we arguably got something better with the batch of qbs in Brady’s era including Brady himself obviously

Wasn't the most athletic but TB12 had the biggest heart and drive like no other in the NFL.
He became the starter the year I turned 21. The next 23 years of Football were nothing less than spectacular. I consider it a privilege to have been able to watch him play.

I stopped watching football many years ago. The last game I watched then was when he beat my team, the Raiders, in that "tuck ball" rule playoff match. I didn't even know his name then. Then, many years later I heard him mentioned time and again, so I started watching football one more time because of him. The only games I cared about were the ones in which he played. I saw him come back in the Super Bowl against the Falcons, lose against the Eagles, beat the Rams and what I considered one of his greatest moments, beat Mahomes and the favored Chiefs in his last Super Bowl. OMG! O.... M.... G!!!!

I am from the Philippines yet i follow the NFL since i was in High School. My fave teams were Pats and Greenbay. I recall that i saw that fateful game when Bledsoe went down and Brady was thrown in the game and i changed the channel. Then the team went on a winning season and won the SB. So developed an appreciation for the new kid.
I also change channels when it seems that games are going to be a blowout. But not when TB12 is playing. He made end games really interesting to watch. No matter what the score mid game.
I truly admire this player.
It was easy enough to say while he was playing that you hated him if you weren't a fan of his team, but that's only because it was clear that he was the greatest ever. I feel lucky I got to see him play, and hate him while he played, and now that he's retired, we can all celebrate the GOAT without fanbase tensions muddling his legacy.
