Really do appreciate this. I'm in that middle phase of learning something like Blender where I know what I wanna do and sorta know how to do it, but stuff like topology just stops me immediately. Seeing you work through the stages of blocking out -> subD -> modifying -> subD is super helpful, and really helps with not getting in my head. tyvm!

I think Arijan, ThomasColin 3d and Pzthree are the best blender creators right now, they drop an insane amount of knowledge every video.

Loving the creative narration style, I feel like I'm watching the Bob Ross of Blender.. Happy little quads!

This tutorial is one of the best about SubD workflow, the multiple edge flow strategies and how to simply create any kind of shape and bring it to where you want to. I am still struggling to master this freedom of creating anything you want/need without having weird pinching or bad shading etc. I love this channel, theoretical concepts applied live in front of my eyes and simply explained, is like amazing. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to share it with everyone else.

Getting started with this is not easy. This Video helped a lot tho! So thank you!
From what i understood so far, I think I just gotta practice more, understand Edgeflow and Topology.
Keep up the great work :)

you remind me of Mr. Scott Robetson back in my photoshop rendering tutorial days. your very thorough and easy to listen to and learn from. thank you for all of your lessons. 100% ELITE .

I really liked your advice at the end when you talked about starting with clean quad topology as a beginner. I started in the opposite way, wirh some sort of ngon hard surfwce technique and as result all my shapes were really blocky and i had 0 control over more sophisticated shapes and objects. The old achool way of learning things sounds much better.

Again, awesome video dude, you're helping so much !!
You manage to bring everything together somehow. There are lots of very good tuts online, but it's hard to find some that actually help with grasping the workflow for creating game assets while still using all the fancy techniques for designing cool stuff. But you do exactly that !
Working on my Portfolio atm. and hoping to get an internship or Jr. Job soon. Your videos make me feel confident about my Workflow so that I can show I have the basic knowledge to get in.
Keep on going man, you're great

This guy made random slightly rotated, undefined object with better topology than me that was supposed to have an object with a cube as the base shape.

It's interesting that working on the mesh at 21:00, you've let the extruded surfaces evaluate to n-gons. Is that OK since you have the inset/bevel which ensures the corner edges are quads? If so that might help me a lot with resolving topology.

If you are doing highs to bake. As long as the shading works, otherwise you keep working it out to quads.

Ah, I forgot to add. Do you have any tips or guides on time management? I always feel like I'm way too slow with finishing assets. Most likely cause I can't stop iterating when I should be moving on, but I haven't figured out how to stop myself from doing that.. Is anyone else experiencing that?
