That is exactly what gearing calc says on this bike. Knowing from my logs that the RPM being shown 400 higher than actual at the top range this engine runs about 9700-9800 which comes to ~166-169mph (266-272Km/h) in 5th and as is its doesnt have enough power to push the 6th gear in fact the wind will not let it hold this speed and will slow down. Naked bike pushes 5 tons of air.
Nikša Knežević HEALTECH x-tre installed. Motorcycle thinks it's always in fourth gear. Fifth and sixth gear limits top speed about 258 km/h speedometer speed. Fourth gear is not limited.

@@lemito76 Actually when your max power comes on at 9500 rpm you shouldn't rev it any higher. At 10K you have less power so you will hit a wall and you did.. Should have shift to 6th at 9K would have some power left until 9500. At 10K you have about 10HP less available than at 9500.
@@GerBeGurGya 6th gear, as an overdrive gear, will add very little speed. With the air resistance the bike just doesn't have enough torque to use 6th at speed.
@@johnjones5977 On a stock ECU its even worse than that and sure this bike is like a 6foot wide brick wall when it comes to air resistance but if the airbox is done right and the ECU as well this bike will still pull up to 10.5K in 6th gear using -1/+2 topping out @285Km/h actual (~308Km/h indicated without speedo healer).This one was going 267Km/h actual. . Stock gearing will suffer for sure on this short distance for acceleration but like I said if the rider would have shifted at the top of the power curve at about 9200RPM on this bike, instead of killing it in 5th where there was no more acceleration left, should have gained a couple of Km/h more still. Stock gearing should get this bike up to 275Km/h actual (~300Km/h indicated) @9200RMP in 6th gear.I think this bike doesnt have the correct flash and is not fully derestricted hence has no power in 6th..The reason we have this long seat BTW is that we can slide all the way back on it and tuck in when needed. :) Video of a King done right pulling in 6th gear is on my channel.th-cam.com/video/GR6FcP3KI7Y/w-d-xo.html .
Ok, lets look at the rpm´s / 5th gear. 11k rpm is max and top rpm at 5th gear is +-10200. If 5th gear is too long to get max rpms so how do you think that 6th would give any more top speed?
@@eetu8655 STP is really restricted and closing to 31% in 5th gear @9267RPM (Top speed) and 16.9% @9600 further closing to 12.5% @10K and above.In 6 gear its even worse starting to close @8500RPM. Even if hes done the ECU flash who know who did that for him and pretty sure its not right. I do flash myself and I know most "tuner" has no idea what the settings for the STP should be. Bike sounds stock otherwise so the ECU can only do that much. This bike as it stands runs out of power at 9500 there is no reason to rev it any higher than that. No tuning will change that unless a shorter velocity stacks are used it will run out of steam at 9500 rpm. The only difference a well done B-king and this one is that 9500 this has 160HP on the wheel while the actually tuned has 190HP on the wheel at the same rpm and 200 at 10.5K running short velocity stacks. If he puts 6th in there at 9K he would be just slowing down as the STP does start to close at 8.5K. Some "tuners" will raise the rev limit to 12K on this bike but it will not actually rev that far and certainly doesnt mean that now the max power will be achievable at that rpm. This bike also hardware limited big time like the airbox snorkels and velocity stacks. The RPM indicated in the clock is 400rpm higher than the actual as well so this bike was really just in stock form and performed as one..

For all the Suzuki's I've ridden it has 6% fault, so for every 100kmh take 6 off.
