6:47 - "I think at around 35 people start thinking ' you know what, I can't be running around like an idiot all the time' then they slow down and have kids, and the rest is history..." I just turned 34, I agree with you except for the kids. I wanted kids until I got a niece. I guess I still have a year to change my mind, 'ey? Thanks for the wisdom.

You're only a few years older than me, I'm not retired, and I don't plan to retire. I have no family so I like to work to give meaning to my life. I get that some people look forward to retirement.
And my mind is sharper than it ever was before. I do mental calculations and memorize books for fun. Yes, I memorize entire books, verbatim. I could not do that when I was young. My memory is better now: I can review everything that I did the previous day, with all the details. The key is to believe that you can still improve.

I just found out Roland Martin the fisherman lives near me. Shops at the same Bass Pro I do. He was buying lures in Bass Pro and no one had any idea who he was. Here was a 9 time Bassmaster Classic winner. 3 fishing halls of fame. He should have been surrounded by people asking for tips. But he's not one of the young guys so no one seemed to care. Just seems to happen no matter who you are. That's why fishing's so great. The fish listen to the right bait.

Haha. Yep I remember Roland Maritn from way back. He's like the Jack Nicklaus of fishing. Thanks for the comment!
