Through the whole review I was thinking exactly what you said at the end. When you think about the fact that standard price for Black Series figures now is $25, it's *insane* that you can still pick up a figure the size of this one, that's as good as this one, for THIRTY DOLLARS.
The gap is closing and it’s making certain selects more and more appealing. This was basically the same price as the Delxue Marvel Legends Clor (Thor Clone) and look how much more plastic you get.
Bro if Mafex did a beta ray bill I would love it.

Crazy that this figure doesn't scale with even it's own line. What a missed opportunity. Beautiful sculpt just not sure where it will fit in my collection.

Beta Ray "The Juice Man" Bill is one of my favorite Marvel characters and this figure does him justice. great review homie
I grabbed this dude AS SOON AS I saw him on the peg at my local shop cause I’d decided I was getting him when he first was revealed. Awesome review! Didn’t know about removing the cape but now I have to.
I'm stoked that you're happy with it. That's an impressive amount of articulation for such a big fella.
It is man! They put a good amount in there for such a monster of a figure!
Maybe my most anticipated figure right now. Him and Spiral I think. I love this design, especially more than the heroic age, it feels very Kirby and much more comic book excess than the last. I'm really impressed with the articulation, though the knees look like they were sculpted with being double in mind. As much as an alternate fist would have been nice, I get it for the amount of plastic we got. Only real change I'd want is a jaw hinge, especially if it was a separate piece anyway.
I also kinda love the DS packaging. The blister and the amount of figure paint are just so nostalgic for me now, it's just what I expect to see hanging in an old comic book store.
I think "comic book excess" is a great way to describe Daniel Warren Johnson's stuff. 🤘
Idk if you know this but BRB home planet was the one Gamora and Nebula were trashing before being sent after the stones in the MCU
I love selects. You get so mcuh for your money. Not always but when they really put effort in you can tell. Plus i just prefer 7inch scale. I wish legends were 7 in. (And they slowly seem to be getting there)
Great video - thanks. It's pretty large on the shelf and if desired to photograph with some Annihilators I would recommend it be clear in a back shot. Having recently received it, the work and detail put into the craftmanship claims this one a candidate on any "best of 2022" Marvel action figure list this year. That said, he easily dwarves MLs Gladiator, the old Ronan BAF and Cosmic Nova. With Ronan getting a Deluxe, maybe....just maybe we might see Gladiator and Nova re-released on the new Vulcan buck soon.
This figure looks sick. Diamond Select knocked this one out of the park. Hope their Iceman turns out just as good.

Reminds me of the big n bulky BRB figure from the Toy Biz Silver Surfer line. Just a beast! Might have to grab him. Just worried about the Diamond Select weak n loose hip joint issue…

Great review! Mine had stuck joints but a little heat and shock oil and he’s fine. A soft plastic cape and helmet crest (like the torso straps) would have been nice.

I got this on sale over black Friday weekend and its amazing. I've been wanting a beta ray figure for around 20 years now and never wanted to settle on the crappy versions. I was about to attempt a mythic kitbash custom and boom this was announced. Now that I have it in hand it surely doesn't disappoint.
Man a mythic kitbash would be a great way to make a custom Bill but yeah now you don’t have to haha

My thoughts exactly Wade, 💯, marvel select never goes with my legends but when they release fiery BANGER like Hulk, t-man (in the morning), task master and bill?...it keeps me continuing to check em out. Some there on the D.S. has ALLOT of love for this Billy. I dig dug that.

This figure is pretty amazing!! I think he’d be in top ten of the year for me if he would look up a LIL more, would love to see if you end up doing that Neck Mod.

Awesome, wish they included a closed mouth version with normal helmet too. Would have preferred that even over the spinning Hammer effect.

This bill is from donny Cates run of thor.. the new ml thor shattered his storm breaker and almost killed him in a duel

I dunno man he kind of does scale with the Marvel select mighty thor since beta ray bill is 6.7 ft and Thor is 6.6ft so it kind of does scale.

Great figure but subjectively I hate the design. Beta Ray Bill is one of those characters where I’m of the “classic or nothing” mindset. Classic Thor and Beta Ray Bill in those matching costumes is one of my favorite duos in comics

Dang, they made him massive!! Lol had no idea that Diamond Select made him so big. I love that and love that removable cape feature. It's brilliant. Hope we get more of that feature. I did not like this figure because the promo pictures didn't do it justice but seeing your review made me like it a lot. Its looks awesome.

Probably the best select released thus far imo and definitely this year though won’t lie, that vision that just came out to is pretty good as well so idk! Lol but currently working on putting an omega flight to go with bill here.

Diamond ripped it off Bowen imo. Not that that's wrong but Bowen should get the credit for it because it's a pretty innovative accessory for the character.
Looks dope!! I think Thor is taller than Beta Ray Bill in the comics. It's insane how big he is. Comparable to the Immortal Hulk. Still a must pick up either way.

These figure aren't the best when it comes to articulation but they do look great. Even if it doesn't scale well I'll still have him in my marvel legends display

Diamond select used to be a joke. But after I got the Battlestar Galactica cylons and taskmaster and iron giant. I consider them one of the best companies in the world 🤣🌍

Man I'm torn on whether or not I want to pick him up. He looks so good, but he's just huge. He's big for Select scale, and seeing him next to Bucky cap is hilarious and sad.
I just don't think he fits in my display anywhere, despite being some of the best bang for your buck
