You did fine after you got it off the ground. Smaller warbirds on grass= many prop bites.Slower acceleration is the key. I never use safe to take off either ( Limits the elevator )
Yeah I noticed. I don’t use it anymore. It was my first time with a new receiver that I want use to and with a plane with a spectrum receiver. But now it flyers beautifully😁
It's a good idea to switch to a higher rate elevator travel for take off & hold full up elevator when starting to move off from stationary (the propeller wash & up elevator will really help to keep the tail pinned down) Gradually increase the throttle & control the torque with rudder. As soon as it's rolling happily, you MUST ease off on the elevator, let the tail rise naturally, keep increasing the throttle & it'll be airborne in no time. Once you can combat the nose over tendencies, they are a complete joy to take off, fly & land!!
And if it always wants to turn left when powering up & starting your take off run, hold a bit of right rudder to always be one step ahead of it. It can be a lot to remember but it will be habit soon!
Bravo. Welcome back. I just got back after 10 years. Everything is new to me now. But I’m super happy to be back. I’m not leaving this time. What are you flying?
@@Elircplanes Funny that you should ask. I'm currently fying a bunch of antiques. Stuff from between 2007-2012. Like Hobbyzone Super Cub trainer and an Apprentice that I bought and never flew. Also, the Eflite Pawnee and a dozen or so others. The stuff that there aren't parts available for any more. I flew my old Parkzone Trojan today. My favorite plane. Didn't realize that the elevator up travel was out of whack. It got about 20 feet off the ground and descended when i went into a turn. I was flying low rates and didn't have enough up elevator and it skipped off the ground and broke the wing off at it's mounts. I'm hoping that a little CA glue and gauze will be the remedy. Won't be the first time. Love your Mustang! I'm a big fan of the scale stuff.
