Wow Allen, I feel for you there man and know exactly how you feel. Unfortunately can’t win them all and things come in threes so don’t be surprised if you get another soon. Hopefully you won’t though. Great upload nevertheless. Best regards, Brian👏👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👏👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

A good practice to make the LEDs last longer is to run them at a reduced brightness. I usually run my TVs at around 75, 80%

or just use the right rated LEDS in the first place... Leds should outlive the rest of the electronics easily. just Vestel been cheapskates

@@yandyyay yes but since this is something you can't do, or at least most people can't do, might as well try to prolong its life. Especially since these LEDs "conveniently" burn out soon after warranty.

@@yandyyay also even on higher end brands like LG and Samsung also burn out LEDs all the time way before the rest of the electronics fail.

@@t0nito so the manufacturers donit on purpose to limit the life and increase sales....

@@yandyyaythat's why we need to be one step ahead of them and reduce the brightness. I have an LG Cinema 3D TV with daily use and it's still going, a 5 year old Vestel LED also used daily and still going. If you want your TVs to last reduce the brightness.

Some older tv users are happy with their set especially older people who cannot be bothered with new fangled smart apps etc

You did a video of this samsung tv about a month ago, is it the same tv or another one?

I'm surprised you get stuff like this in. Most folk would just get rid of anything older than about 5 years, especially low-end stuff. I'd try to fix it if it was my own but I wouldn't deem it worth the £50 callout to get a professional to look it over!

Many are given away for free on FB Marketplace or Gumtree but larger Vestel's with random faults are not worth anyone's time or money

I mean vestels aren't particularly desirable but it's less E-waste in the world and it's a functional TV again so I'm going to say no
