I replaced a mainboard in a 40 inch vestel tv just like that one, the board was identical to the original one it plugged in perfectly but then the picture was upside down.
I still have my Pioneer Kuro Plasma and it beats most modern TV's every time. I have a massive collection of laserdiscs which look terrible on 4K sets no matter how good they are at upscaling. As long as you do an annual tightening of the grounding screws they just keep on going.
@@lukedavis436 Thanks, i hope so too, i have owned it from new and it was very expensive. It was a shame that Pioneer pulled out of the A/V market, they made some excellent gear.
Last time i tackles a samsing 50 or 55 inch the one has the plasma. It had a ticking noise from the power supply so ended up replacing two swollen caps and resoldered all the possible dry joints on the power board and it worked fine for a year and then the same issue came back but it gone into the bin Luckily enough it wasn't mine
FreeviewHD was definitely around before 2014 as I bought my Panasonic Plasma TV in 2012 and it has FreeviewHD built-in. Not sure how common it was though, as my parents LG TV (LCD) is the same age and that doesn't have HD built-in, like this one it's only HD when using the HDMI inputs.
I got the l55db for free as it wasn't running but now it has an amazing screen but no smart function but they say the main board can be flashed with Polaroid or some other brand software to get smart function back since Toshiba don't honour these anymore.
Can this tv run it's smart function? On a side note,every time I listen to this man I can see Michael Schumacher or Ayrton Senna screaming down the home straight

The old 1333DB, it was the fisrt LED TV I ever put a set of lights in. They were good sets. 17mb85 I think with the VES400UNDS 2DN01.

you could always traim out the copy-right bits I have had to do this on a few vids.
How much do you charge for a backlight replacement in that model. value of tv is possibly less than parts and labour.
