Pally deserves a standing ovation for narrating Vikings like that, playing those guys is a handful and a half and commentating doubly so. so in fact I just gave him one. Excellent video Pally!
I noticed in this video that each Viking counts toward the objective pushing speed. So, they can push the objective at full speed by themselves if they wanted. Kind of a nice offset for having a two-lane match.
I'm pretty sure objective pushing speed doesn't work like that in Hanamura, it just goes one speed forward regardless of whether there's 1 or 5 people on it.
So about Merc Lord The samurai (Sentinel Camp to be precise) is an elite camp, not a boss. Mercenary Lord specifically works on non-boss mercenaries, so it would have buffed the damage of the samurai. Not all too intuitive considering the map only has four regular merc camps (discounting the vision camps in center) and only one of them acts as a regular merc since the other drops a turret. Makes me like the OW maps even less...
Gotta admit I’m a surprised that Pally didn’t go over the built in globe collection mini game on the Vikings. I learned my habit of craving globes from pally and watching all those poor globes go uncollected was so weird. Also- I 100% cannot micro manage them like that. I play them grouped for my smooth brain.
My very favorite thing about HotS is the specialists. It feels like you're playing a completely different game than everyone else. "Nah, I don't wanna fight, I'm just gonna play with my sand castles and toy soldiers. Oh we won cause I soaked xp and broke buildings? Cool." This was a good example.
61-10-1 now following your builds. I won a game as the vikings. I am terrible at keeping track of vikings and they die so quickly when caught unaware. I actually did a decent amount of hero damage and got a few kills in my match. They're one of my least played heroes because of how complicated they are to play and keep track of.
I would have liked a deeper explanation of how The Lost Vikings trait(s) work, both the built in globe quest and each individual Vikings ability. If you can get a nice amount of globes throughout the game they can be a true powerhouse late in a match. I tend to use the globe counter as a indicator of when it is worth it to group the TLV up, around 50-60 is a good rule of thumb. I also gotta I don't like that each Viking moves at a different speed,but it is not reflected in the speed stat when pressing C so Eric is actually still faster when slowed down by the same amount as another hero.
That spin to win ability destroy Zeratul once you get all 3 Vikings on him. I ended up on a two lane map too, at braxis holdout. Was hard to get going at beginning, then after level 13, I just keep my viking together to take camps, and pick off any individuals. Just took one game to win for me.
I've been trying to solve an issue with Heroes of the Storm where selecting different keybind profiles doesn't change the binds in-game. The keybinds are always set to default no matter what, even if I change the keybinds on the default profile itself. Can anyone offer any advice? I've been pulling my hair out with this one :(

I consider myself a pretty good vikings player, but picking my talents in time is a real struggle. Like I know exactly what I want to pick in most games, but I just focus too hard to notice when i level up. I had a game yesterday where i picked my level 4 talent at lvl 8.
Big brain game for sure, I'm too smooth brained so I just go for the group up talents. Well that and kinda seeing Erik as just...there for the buff giving while Olaf and Mr B get things done.
Couldn't help but notice he never used spin to win on the Ninja camp! Even after taking the cdr... must have been too worried about not getting hit to utilize it.
If you are going to comment for channel interaction at least say something to Pally! What a missed opportunity... Hello Pally! Don't stop the hots gameplay please
It was fun and op when it was possible to buff the samurai. One of the best was Sylvanas, cause she could get him easily and just push with him. It was just like The Haunted Mines map with Sylvanas.
The only thing they could make playing lost vikings more unusual is having Olaf the Stout actually block some of the damage that's coming his way in front of him at all times.
I never find myself on CD when needing the res. I very much prefer the level 16 stun from olaf, it can be huge in team fights b/c no one sees it coming.
I have to say this is by far the most interesting episode I watched so far, the amount of information and game knowledge was INSANE ! Truly love this episode ♥ Good stuff Pally !

The objective will go faster if there are more then one hero in, it will cap at 3 heroes inside the objective circle

I've always indexed them as "Vikings, Lost, The", which handily puts them next to any other vikings.

When you group up vikings is alot based on the game. If they have heroes whyo can hunt them down easily, might better to just not spilt

I love pally, and I know that TLV is a difficult to play and commentate, but the amount of globes he missed gave me rage.

There really is no reason to main group Vikings, especially before lvl 10. There are so many better picks that aren’t stacking hazards.

15:40 Either your team is overconfident or they simply don't care if the camp is stolen from them. That cap was slow enough to allow a quick reversal.
