My 65 year (and still going strong) love affair with anything with two wheels and an engine started when I was 10 with a Rupp mini bike , thanks Dave .
Mid - Ohio is great. I was there racing motocross back in the late 70s. It was a beautiful track. I got to meet Marty Smith, Bob Hannah and Roger DeCoster.. That year, the Russians sent a team to race and that was a big deal. I was sponsored by Yamaha, but didn't do very well there. Great memories. By the way, "motors" are electric.. motorcycles have "engines".. our mechanic drummed that into me. Was his pet peeve! 😂
You mention the speedway but not the SST in purple right next to it?? lol. I have a very strong attraction to that bike as it was my first minibike and my introduction to all motorcycles as a kid. Not sure where my dad found it but mine was identical to that one. This was the 70s Man if I were there that bike would’ve come home with me.! Haha you just don’t see them, especially in purple. Do you remember what they were asking for it?
Thanks again for another 1 of your great videos, So many interesting bikes, I'm gonna make it to the barbers festival this year , Ohio is just a little Too far for me, Enjoy your time there, Thanks from Pensacola, I forgot to mention that you're 1 smart cookie , When it comes to motorcycles,
I have really enjoyed this series of videos I always seem to have something going on and have never made it to that meet, now would have been the time with the market in the toilet. The Japanese have really been digging the Triumph stuff witch I love to see.
My dad had relatives in Mansfield.Went there twice a summer as a kid and a teenager.Havent been there for 40 years.Thought you might be looking for the old Mansfield speedway.
Your video is wild to watch . I'm from mansfield, oh I used to plow the reformatory ever time it snowed. And you were close to Gorman Rupp, maybe a 1/2 of mile away.
.. cool bikes thanks Mickey died a year ago this month my dad hauled the snowmobile hoods to his place im never going near that prison anymore than I have to Tim Richmonds tombs is over off 250 north in Ashland ..! thanks again ..!
Hey, thank you for all the videos! I wanted to ask, when you are at the swap meets can you show the prices on the mini cycles? Mini enduros, MR50, Yz80s…. I am looking to get the kids into riding and I am watching to see the different states and their prices. Again thank you so much for the great videos!!! Dan
I really wanted a Rupp motorcycle when I was a kid but ended up with a Harley Davidson 65cc Shortster. I was happy with that. Do they have any events like this in Florida during the winter month's. I can't attend anything in the summer up North because of my job but I'm off all winter in Florida. Thanks.
I've owned the Kawasaki A7 version of the Bridgestone. They have more individual parts than a fourstroke. Complicated simplicity. They go well but kinda ruin the two stroke advantage.
This really takes me back to all the bikes I had back in the 60s and 70s. Wish I could go back to those days. They really were the good old days.

Not much you can’t find in vintage bikes and parts at VMD! Thanks for the walk along
I new that was a Rupp T-shirt when I saw it. Rode many Rupp snowmobiles. "Live it up Rupp"!
Looks like a really good variety of stuff this year. Makes me wish I had gone.
Rupp it up. !!!

Glad you enjoyed it!
You bypassed the YZ50- super rare-6 speed transmission- very collectable!!!!, in demand
Yes. I missed that

Ohh. I should look for that too!
the CZ 175 looked very clean
I found it lol, good video !
Jims Cycle in Urbana became Jim's Suzuki ..!
Gilera competed in the ISDT in the 70’s in Dalton Mass. I drove support van for a rider from Zambia.

My first bike was a Speedway. It was a 125cc SACHS engine. Yellow in color, I think it was a Spider model but I can’t remember for sure, 1972-73ish
Been to the reformatory in Mnsfield, went on a no lights ghost hunt tour. It was a bit fasinating .
.. cool bikes thanks Mickey died a year ago this month my dad hauled the snowmobile hoods to his place im never going near that prison anymore than I have to Tim Richmonds tombs is over off 250 north in Ashland ..! thanks again ..!
you're welcome

At the 14:39 mark, those Yamaha scooters look like an Igloo cooler that's been motorized with wheels. Ha!

That really sucks. Good luck!
Another interesting fact about Mansfield Ohio that the flexible flyer snow sled was built there in the 1970s
Oh, wow!
So Dave, what did you sell? Nothing recently crashed and bent I hope.
No, the taco is in the shop waiting for me to put a new fender and lever on.
I agree with you 1:24
The Bridgestones seem pretty cheap. I think that was a MkII you showed 200cc
I thought the same thing about the price , I remember scaring the hell out of a salesman when I took a 185 (?) for a test ride hahaha ! It was fast !
@@danielcarroll5667 I can see the smile on your face as you tested it out.
