- Instead of getting crazy mad, I decided to make a video about this in case this happens to you. This is somewhat of a guide on how to create a copyright claim and actually get the video taken down when someone steals your work and re uploads as their own.

Hey man, i think this exact video is the one where i just have to say, that i love your content, the professionalism you convey and the "compactness" of the info you provide for us. As i'm working on corporate presentations as a job, creating and taking the pictures myself, i know how frustrating it is, when you see your own hard work and your ideads stolen and "represented" by someone else ... as their own. The comfort for me is, that i know, that most of them won't ever amount to anything because of that mindset. Pretty sad nonetheless.

Hi! So I have a question and please respond as soon as you can.
I make movie style trailers using clips I combine from music videos and I like to use copyrighted music coz I cannot find good non copyrighted music. People would steal my trailers, reupload them and claim it as their own.
Can I report them for stealing or I cannot coz of the copyrighted music I use? I work really hard on them and it breaks my heart to see someone stealing my content so easily!

Yeah no kidding. The videos I reported are shut down however the channel is still up. Ugh... I guess I'll just report the rest of the videos.

What a waste of time! I made a video about a product. Instead of the company paying me and asking for permission to use the video, they just copied what they wanted to use and re-uploaded it. Not only that, they are using it as their Facebook ad video. Thanks for this video!
Thank you so much for this tutorial, This has happened to my own channel, and What is worse is my Video on their channel garnered way more views than it did on my own channel. I work so hard on my content and they just steal it and claim it as their own and make money off of it, and I get nothing. I am not even monetized, my channel does not grow. Their fake channel featuring my content grows huge.

Is there a way to search and find if someone uploaded my videos? He may be uploaded it with a different name and hastags. I am sure TH-cam has a great recognition syste. It can understand it from the content or face. So how can I find it?

This has also happened to me. Once I saw a few of my videos, unedited and unchanged, uploaded on someone else's channel. I filed copyright claims, which I thought did the trick, but the video thief only made the videos private... videos that I WORKED LONG AND HARD to make! Why won't TH-cam help me more with this problem?

You can also report it,some people steal videos and not give credits!that’s not okay,they will face a copyright takedown for that!Giving credits helps a lot so people doesn’t think a person stole it

I found out someone was doing live stream on TH-cam as window capture from MY FACEBOOK STREAM and guess what? They gave me strike copyright!! What!?!? Hey Lee! I am about to start a channel. People gave me stories that they said I can post in video form. What about if somebody steals a broadcast from another platform and reposts it to TH-cam as their own content? They aren't making any commentary over the replays at all. Just reposting it to "expose" people. Even the titles are defamatory or instigative. If people report the YT videos, they are required to identify themselves. Will that information be ever shared with the owner of the YT channel or will they just be informed of a copyright infringement?

Hey, I’ve tried to do this for a few videos of mine that were stolen years ago where a girl was basically pretending to be the real me. She stole videos that I didn’t even have on TH-cam! I’ve been trying for years to get them down and haven’t uploaded anymore videos because of multiple fake profiles in the past. I’m afraid though that at this point I look more like the fake profile than she does since I have no videos. But I don’t even have the videos she stole from me anymore! Suggestions? Please help 😢😢😩

Hello, Maybe you would be able to help me.. The same situation happened with me where someone copied and posted my videos on their channel . And I think it was actually someone that I know..The problem is that I got scared and I have deleted my channel :( now I cant report it for copyrights. I know there was a lot of other people reporting this face account but its still on and they are still uploading the videos...:(

This happened to me as well. Have you ever commented on the stolen video's comment section? Would this get you in trouble with TH-cam if you did comment negatively?
