I don't have the words to express how thankful I am that I stopped the madness that is alcohol about 15years ago. I'm 62 now, living a life I almost threw away. I would be dead or serving time for DUI's and maybe even having to live with someone's death haunting me. I really hope this dude gets the help he needs and saves his own future 🙏
I had a sweet cousin who finally died of his drinking before he killed someone. Had 7 or 8 DUI's and breath lock on steering wheel. Sadly we were relieved when he passed at 70.
I'm so glad you allowed yourself to live a fuller life and saved yourself and others. I agree i hope if this wasn't a bender he gets himself into a place of recovery with help of course.

You can also turn it around, maybe most people are just too often and too quickly aggressive, staying calm is not necessarily a talent it is just continuing to use your common sense
I was thinking they need to show people who act like this when drunk or on drugs the video and let them see what a total ass they are and how stupid they look
I dont think it's so much that, but that cops are now being conditioned to be terrified to do their jobs and stop people like this, because they are afraid their whole life will be destroyed by the woke pandering media and public.
That was a prime example of how peace keepers should act, a little bit more patient than I could think of being! May the Lord continue to bless them and keep them protected.
I'm astonished by the people who think that this is a rare case - and luckily it happened to be on the day these very nice officers were on duty. Police deal daily with drunks. It is as routine as a doorman pressing the lift button. Can't distinguish one case from the other. In conversation with our State Pathologist (guy dealing with unnatural deaths), he said that "if you ban alcohol I'll be out of a job overnight." On the road, in the bar, in the home. Either the victim on the slab or the perpetrator was under the influence. That is why some cops prefer to work traffic detail only - then they meet a cross-section of ordinary citizens, and only a small percentage of a-holes and drunks.
@@M60gunner1971 really? He was too patient? He was waiting for back-up, because you never know the strength of a crazy person. As soon as back-up arrived, he was cuffed and put on the ground. I noticed that too, ya know cause he defines useful 😊
What you don't know is that's the secret word that makes the cops let you go.
He actually said: "That's on y'alls fault." reffering to being smacked on the hard backseat of the cop car. 😂
🤣🤣🤣
Wow props to the first cop, both were great but that first guy had a huge amount of patience and was respectful the whole time.
Too patient
I agree the 1st cop was fine, but the 2nd cop tackled the guy within 10 seconds of arriving to the scene. Why do they always do this?
@@showwhite7320 You wait for backup. 2 on one is always better odds. IDK why first officer waited so long. Stun guns work pretty well if your shirtless....no clue why he didn't have one

Can we give props the offduty officer who risked his safety for the safety of the cop until backup arrived.
A cop in his own jurisdiction is never off duty. I was REQUIRED to act in a situation like this.
Who was the off duty officer?
@MeandmyLife24 the guy that was shadowing the scene.. in the black shirt.

They may have dropped breakdancing from the Olympics but thankfully we already have a advocate for the new exciting sport of flip flop throwing
Lol😂
CPT with an impressive negative 28 yard throw! That could get the gold.
Bro, races with an angry mother with a flip flop in their hand would be the best Olympic sport. I advocate for performance enhancing drugs being a category. Could you imagine juced up guys on meth doing power lifting. How about the Olympic sport of getting shit halfway done. My favorite, a guy with felonies, holding, and being chased by cops and the winner gets to take what they're holding as the prize. The rest go to jail. My favorite ever would be the drunk gymnastics. The gold would go to the person who could pass a roadside sobriety test. We could make it happen.
Vote for trump😊
As an Australian, I can say if we send Raygun we will also dominate boomerang flip flop throwing
The cop here is hilarious. Kept a calm demeanor the entire time, though the guy was really asking for it. This level of intoxication usually invites a beat down. So, props to the officers for the way they handled this guy.
The dude practically walks the cop halfway out the neighborhood... so the cop did, in fact, "Go on" LoL

They really are weaponized social workers, at least in part.
people and keyboard warriors always wanna criticize cops on how they need to de-escalate situations when they’re literal scenarios like this where it’s literally impossible without use of force
It's the steady increase of irrational people out on the street. You can't reason with crazy or high.
First, these cops did a fantastic job. So why do police departments keep hiring people that shouldn't work at a McDonald's? We need police reform, with more funding & training, a national database, certification standards, and limits to qualified immunity etc.
@@slosubies4845 There has always been a steady stream of "crazy" people. Half the population have an IQ less than 95. A third (~33%) have an IQ less than 80, which is mor*n level. You add alcohol and drugs to the mix, then that IQ drops like a rock. Things were worse back in the day, when pollution was more rampant. In the time lead was used in gasoline, the average person lost 3 IQ points from exposure to lead.
Excellent police work. He gave this guy way more chances than I would have.
He was annoying but he could barely stand up. He was really only a threat to himself, but yes very annoying.
I don't know where they get the patience. I couldn't do that job.
amazing editing on this. loved the cuts back to backup speeding through traffic - very cinematic.
The fact that he has the record that he has and is repeatedly released back into society is an example of why soft on crime policies don’t work. Elect your prosecutors and judges wisely. Know who you’re voting for.

There is a video showing the reality of a police officer backing up, tripping, falling backwards, and being brutally stabbed to death. He lost his life giving chances to a crazed guy and having no backup. These people don't need more than 2 chances to follow directions. Safety of us 'regular' people and the police who are protecting us should be just as important as giving all these chances that endanger police and civilians.

Saudi Arabia has one of the world's lowest murder rate and crime is very low, probably as there is absolutely no alcohol 🥃 🍺 🍷 🍸🍹. (Still wouldn't want to live there)
Alcohol and drugs
I don't know, a lot of people drink regularly and they're just fine. When you combine it with crazy you get shit like this. It's not the norm.
Alcohol is also clogging up all our hospitals too. It's the number one killer and cause of pain and suffering.

Could be more than alcohol. Such a nice neighborhood too. Wow. So SAD
I had a sweet cousin who finally died of his drinking before he killed someone. Had 7 or 8 DUI's and breath lock on steering wheel. Sadly we were relieved when he passed at 70.
Quit drinking about 20 years ago. Best decision I ever made. Saw where my life was going and had to make a change.
I'm so glad you allowed yourself to live a fuller life and saved yourself and others.

You can also turn it around, maybe most people are just too often and too quickly aggressive, staying calm is not necessarily a talent it is just continuing to use your common sense
I don’t think this guy is capable of embarrassment.
I was thinking they need to show people who act like this when drunk or on drugs the video and let them see what a total ass they are and how stupid they look

Yes.. and the attitude and respect shouldn't change even after handcuffs are on.
They did good tho.. real good.
If black different story!
He was too patient.
@@M60gunner1971 really? He was too patient? He was waiting for back-up, because you never know the strength of a crazy person. As soon as back-up arrived, he was cuffed and put on the ground.
