@@nicolevillarreal3436 it's a favorite of mine as well as the story about the thousands of starfish that wash up after a storm. If you've never heard it, 2 people are waking on the beach noticing all the starfish that lay dying on the beach. The first person begins to pick up starfish and throw them back into the ocean. The second person seems incredulous, and says "there are too many, what you're doing doesn't matter. " The first person bends and picks up another starfish, holds it up and says "it matters to this one" as he threw it back into the ocean. When I volunteered for an animal rescue it was just too easy to let the bad stuff out of your control bring you down. I would remind myself to focus on making it matter to the ones I could help.

This video made me feel a bit less crazy. A random cockroach fell out of my apartment bathroom’s fan, onto my iPad while I was on the toilet, and then fell onto the floor. I tried to capture it to release it outside, but I lost him.
However, the next time I went into the bathroom, I found him on his back and unable to flip over. I noticed at that point that he was missing 1-2 legs - one of which was a hind leg. So I realized if I were to put him outside, he’d not last long, so I put him in a Tupperware container and feed him and give him a water bottle mist every so often, because I read they like damp environments.
I’m immensely scared of cockroaches and spiders, but I just felt like it wasn’t in me to kick him out when he can’t get around well. I named him Kurt the Cockroach, after Kurt Cobain. Only a few days later (nearly 2 weeks ago), my real pet died - my beloved parrot I’d had for 31 and 1/2 years, and got him when he was only 4 months old. I’m in such terrible grief, and am bringing him to a crematorium tomorrow, so it’s very weird that a cockroach of all things is here to tell me that my care is still needed and I’m not completely alone yet.

We had a double hive at my house. It had a large Bumble Hive on one side and a large honey bee hive on the other. And you’d actually see them happily passing by each other even entering each other’s hive with no issue and I was wondering why is that? Until I noticed wasps near by. These two hives built together to protect each other from the wasps. But then we had a humming bird feeder with syrup. Both bumbles and honeys would stop by for drinks from it with the humming birds, each taking their own side of it, and one day two wasps tried causing it trouble. Now we have a bird feeder near by and what I saw was interesting. One bumble went near the finch on it, hovered before them, and flew over to where the wasps were going after their friends, the humming bird now perched on the crook holding it up. So this finch flies up onto the awning of the window and waits. The honeys and bumbles lured the wasps into the open and then it happened. The finch swooped down, tucked its wings to avoid hitting the bumbles and honeys, and sniped a wasp from the air before banking and flying out of sight. It comes back half a minute later, the bumbles and honeys repeat the process and the finch snipes the other wasp out of the air, landing on the crook of the bird feeder with the wasp, snaps its stinger against the crook, and eats it, before returning to the feed. Straight up those lil fellas had worked a deal with the local birds.

I moved into a shared accommodation with a live in landlord. Turns out, he didn't want his aquarium...he was moving to Canada & I ended up looking after as best I could, his three remaining fish, a ghost shrimp & bladder snails...he was going to flush the lit down the toilet! I know people do that but it's horrendous if you stop & think about it. All these animals are now living with me at my mum's house....and they are a joy to watch, they're very fiesty fish & I'm very, very fond of the tiny translucent shrimp. It's cost me a small fortune though, at the aquatic store, they needed mostly new equipment, including a water test kit, air stone, fertilizer, plants, new food, the list is endless honestly...I got them what I believed they needed...oh & a heater...loads of things...apart from the snails, they are thriving but it has been a lot of effort on my part & expensive!!! I think the plant fertilizer I used had copper which has killed some snails off but I'm not sure if that's what's happened..I'm going to try & check...

Are you saved? If you died tonight would you go to heaven or hell?
The Gospel, which means the Good News is the news that God Almighty, the Creator came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world. The one God is a trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son came and laid down his own life to save ours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. Although God's creation was created perfect, having no death, sickness and disease, the creation became corrupted through Adam and Eve in them disobeying God. In this rebellion the creation became fallen through the curse of sin and mankind became separated from God. This world is fallen, but God offers reconciliation to him through his provision at the cross. Ultimately God will restore his creation to perfection when he returns but those that who reject his offer of redemption will remain condemned by their sins and go to hell.
      1 Timothy 3:16 KJV
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
      John 1:1,14 KJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD. [14] And THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us,
      1 John 3:8 KJV
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
      Hebrews 2:14-16 KJV
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; [15] And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. [16] For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
      Isaiah 9:6 KJV
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty GOD, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
      John 1:10 KJV
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and THE WORLD KNEW HIM NOT.
      John 20:28-29 KJV
And Thomas answered and said unto him, MY LORD AND MY GOD. [29] Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
      Acts 16:30-31 KJV
...what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
      Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast.

We had a bee keeper from a few miles from our property ask us if he could set up a few bee hives. We had no problem with him doing this. I would sit out in the early mornings with my coffee at a table I had set up on the east side of our house enjoying the early morning sun. Well these honey bees loved to drink the water from the heavy dew that would collect on the plastic table cover from the nite before. I just so enjoyed their presence. They would sit and drink the morning water and I enjoyed my morning coffee along side with them. I’m always saving bees of all sizes from my windows on my deck . They have no problem flying towards them but just sometimes find it difficult to turn and fly back out. Just love those wonderful pollinators. So precious to our earth.
My sister always put out little china plates of water for the bumble bees beside the hummingbird feeders and she got a real enjoyment watching them clean themselves so meticulously and off course drink the cool refreshing water too. She said she just wanted them to know that she appreciated all they do for us.

But that's a bumblebee, not a bee queen... or are they called queen bees as a nickname somewhere?

Yep agreed, they are intelligent and social animals, they make so much more sense as pets than the usual insects people keep- large spiders don’t have any social tendencies and merely react to light, sound and pheromones.

This was lovely to watch. It’s so brave too as my first thought was for her to sting you. I like and agree with everything you’ve said here. I don’t have that courage, worry to much about being stung, as people do. I love that you treated her with so much gentleness and respect and how great it was to be enlightened that there was an emotional bond with you and Bee. I’m caught between saying “I think children should watch this video” versus “Children/ anyone choosing to rescue a bee could be inviting a sting.” We have much to learn and newer generations will figure things out a lot more,

Bumble bees and honey bees yes but there are species of bees that are solitary and don’t form hives a couple from here in Australia are the teddy bear bee and the blue banded bee which have individual males and females and don’t have hives

    • @rick7884
      @rick7884 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I was thinking the same thing. They need the hive to survive. The each do a job that helps the others with food, warmth and other things they need. The queen can't even eat without the workers feeding her. I don't think that was a queen for that reason. It was most likely a drone that flew into someplace it shouldn't have. Insects will go for the wings first if trying to kill and eat another insect
