The Open world was quite literally a game changer. It just felt like your Sims were "living" in the simulation. Wanna send them on a jog? Do it, and you can watch them jog around the neighborhood.
I tried to play the sims 3 (because of nostalgia) recently, and I think the open world is both blessing and a curse. It's obviously cool but I'm unable to play this game without fulfilling sims' needs with cheats. Commute takes sooo long and my sims barely have time to eat, pee and sleep after work, with no time left for developing skills. And as a builder I also prefer ts4 building system. That being said, EA's greed is what ruins ts4 for me, like, world adventures is the best pack ever and is much more complex than anything ts4 brought to the table lmao

I remember I held off trying out the sims 4 for a few years after release because I always had so much fun with the sims 3, then I was so completely underwhelmed when I finally gave 4 a try. I just remember it feeling so... lifeless, and bland, and I tried playing for a year or two before giving up and going back to the sims 3. Honestly, the open world makes so much of a difference for me personally, because the biggest problem I had with 4 is that the world felt so static and isolated; relationships between sims didn't feel like they mattered, or even existed at all. I've been playing the same sims 3 save for over 2 years now, and it's genuinely the most fun I've every had with the franchise because it's the first time I've tried rotational gameplay. I've played every household in Riverview at this point, and each one is connected to each other in some way; romances, divorces, affairs, friendships, who married who, who's kids hang out with each other, who are mortal enemies, etc., the list of drama goes on and on. It's a blast, and something like that simply isn't possible in the sims 4. I can't see myself ever going back to that game.
As a diehard Sims 3 player I feel this! I recently tried playing ts4 because I'm better at modding it and wanted to use it to create characters(like a dress up game). The jump between the amount of base game FURNITURE is insane to me. And relationships in ts4 make me want to cry. I can have two Sims just meet and get Max friendship/romance in like four hours of repeated interactions. In the Sims 3 not only did it take longer, but there's stuff to do! I've noticed in general actions in ts3 take a realistic amount of time. (I was shocked when I saw how fast actions are in 4???) I enjoy making characters in it but it's basically unplayable to me as someone who loves 3
Man TS4 Relationships die so easy it’s annoying, I actually never played 3 just 1,2, & 4 of the pc releases. Your experience and this video makes me want to start a universe in 3 as it does seem better for someone who cares about long term stories between your sims. I try that in 4 but it be killing off my ppl too much with stupid deaths lol it’s very annoying and the open world thing I must try.
I dumped so much time into this game! I have actual thousands of hours in this game and I do still have my disc copies! I do still play from time to time :)
It's such an amazing game! Just sad they never patched the lag on bigger saves... I still play it all the time, much more than Sims 4 honestly 😅 I wish I had my disc copies though, although I think I only have the base game and one or two expansions. The rest are all digital 😄
@@victiusplays Hah I started collecting discs around this time for TV show series, so I started doing the same for The Sims 3 :) I did eventually swap to digital but I have like 8-9 physicals. The expansions for this game were actually so good! I'm impressed with how well base game only runs though. I always avoided Create a Style because of the lag, as neat as it is in concept. I will admit that I struggle going back to TS3 because I'm so used to sims being able to multi-task and I'm overall just used to navigating TS4 these days and the modding + CC scene is wonderful. I wasn't as interested in modding my game for TS3's era.
In all honesty the expansions for The Sims 3, kinda makes the ones for The Sims 4 a little bareboned. I still like them, but there was so much content in these expansions! And dont even get me started on the worlds ;) i think i mentioned my excitement for open worlds in the video hahah. But i get it, switching from The Sims 4 to 3, it is noticable that they improved on Sim behavior with multitasking and all. Create a style is a game crasher thats for sure, i wouldn't use it if i wasn't only running the base game :D
DUDE I AM WAITING FOR PART 2. i used to play this game when i was in primary school. my fav family was Goth family. and 2 months ago i bought a cat and gave him name Mortimer lol.
Part 2 will come! But that might not focus only on the base game. Not to spoil too much though 😅 That is one awesome name for a Cat! Bet he likes that! 😄
Sims 2 was the first sims game I really got into and I remember how excited I was for Sims 3, it came out the summer before I started freshman year of high school and I played it non-stop. Can’t say I had the same feelings for Sims 4 when it released 😕 it took all the charm of the previous 3 games and flushed it down the toilet.
“I used to play Pokemon Ruby on my Gameboy on the way to school, i love that game” me, playing Pokemon Ruby on my Gameboy with this video playing in the background: 👁️👄👁️
I wanted to play sims 4 on my new laptop and get mods and such but i just got sims 3 instead in December 2024 THANK GOD i didn’t try to fix sims 4 lol sims 3 is SOOO much better! Thank you for keeping sims 3 alive and making this video
I think the problem with 4 is DEPTH. It’s pure dollhouse “let’s play pretend” use your imagination BC. But Sims 3, all the Sim specific personal life goals, doing involved shit through time and it actually feeling important and lasting for generations, they keep a record of EVERYTHING per Sim. In 4 it’s just a dolly you are thrusting around everywhere with no REAL cemented personal/character/whatevvv achievement or sentiment connection to “local” Sim neighbors/location, it’s just pretty settings you sit in and do the same little craps in. 3 is about doing the best for your Sim, 4 is about doing your personal RL fantasies you can’t actually do IRL and it not mattering Like, in 3, I have an actual sense of achievement with my fairy Sim who has gone on multiple World Adventures, and looking through memories or inventory or relationships, there is the THIS HAS MEANING feeling. Sims 4 the equivalent things just feel hollow, especially when glitches change memories/relationships/bills etc for no particular reason. How it all seems to fluctuate for no real reason, with no sense of nuance for your personal play in, it definitely makes it a bare-bones Simulation in general. Thank you for allowing me to rant lol. I know 3 and 2 et al also have their dumb glitches (I am a Sims/gaming vet). #gamerproblems
Yes!! I think that stuff also takes way longer to do in 3. I spent a whole year(in-game) just fleshing out my Sims family's relationships with other townsfolk, I had to go in and change the age settings to last way longer because I spent so much time with the storytelling I forgot to teach the teens to drive. Just the fact that I spent a whole year and didn't achieve something so basic because there was So Much to do shows that 3 is way deeper than 4. Also I enjoy random events in 3 alot.
@ so true, the challenge and Sim-time management for sure add to the real sense of achievement. I always want to find a way around having a limited lifespan rather than just turning aging off, it just feels wrong 😅 Without it and need management the game is too easy, and easy can get stale.
Concordo contigo integralmente.
Try some mods like nrass to help with the lagging. Mike was lagging a bit when I re-installed it this year but now I have almost every expansion pack, some mods and it runs pretty well.
I think at this point I'm reaching to 3000 hours in the Sims 3. Been playing for 10+ years. EA play one day decided to put me back from 2000+ to 200... still mourning that.
Oh wow! Yea I'm nowhere near that I think 😅 But it is the only game where I have actually completed a Legacy Challenge, which did take a decent amount of hours 😄
I got the Sims 3 shortly after release, I was 9 years old & had only played the Sims 2 Castaway on my DS before that. So so so many good memories. Even after ts4 released I stuck with ts3 for years!
Cornelia and Gunther are also in the first Sims game with surname Goth Sr. . I love the first three iterations of the Sims. Have played the fourth but it wasn't for me. Sims 3 is the one I gravitate to the most for all the reasons you showcase in this video. Really enjoyed the video. ~FM :)
TS3 is my comfort game, I never uninstall the game from my pc ever. I also like the music (not much from the base game, but the ep is really good); it's so nostalgic like I'm back at home. I have played Sims 3 since May 2011 and spent 4 digit hours total (incl. modding). I take a break here and there. But still, among TS1, TS3, and TS4 (I didn't play TS2 back then, and I am not interested in playing it now). TS3 is my favorite in the series since I love Open World RPG. TS3 + NRAAS is the best lifesim for me with insane customization. This is probably why I'm really excited for InZoi since this game took inspiration from TS3 as a foundation.
The loading screen is the thing never letting my Sims go to different places in the Sims 4. Want to learn fishing - make a pond on your lot... Definitely miss sims 3
I’ve played all of the sims games. Grew up with TS1 and TS2- TS3 is the best. There are things I miss from TS2, but I’ve gone back to TS2 with the thought of it being the best game in the series, however, I found myself getting bored with it fairly quickly. It’s mostly the nostalgia why I love TS2 so much. Anyways, I play TS3 to this day. Luckily my iMac runs it well.
Sims 3 is the best overall. If we had the complex memories and attraction systems of the Sims 2, and better optimization, it would be damn-near perfect. Sims 4? We don't know her.
The Sims 3 has finished by modders. The Sims 3 can run smoothly on my PC, i have all EP's and SP's, most of the Store Content, and ~30.000 CC from other creators. I have 2K texture mod, sky-lightning-moon-cloud-snow mods, all routing issues has been fixed in all Worlds ( and yes i have all Worlds from the Store ), and it runs smoothly af. So, you have to be a knowledge to make the game runs smoother.
@ The Sims 1,2,3 and 4 are working fine on my PC. The Sims 2,3 and 4 are really modded on my end. I’ve got problem only in The Sims 2, like the old days, just exit from the game itself, because of those hugh high-poly meshes, and can’t handle the game’s logic (RAM), so yeah, everything is fine. I can help you for Windows 10/11 optimization, every driver, other setting in Windows, even on EA App, in GeForce Experience (NVidia App), and in game, other files as well in The Sims 3’s game bin folder/Sims3.ini file. So all of those.
I'm glad to hear your game runs well! I typically stay away from CC as that seems to be the root of my lag problems usually. But mods will reduce it significantly 😄
TS3 is the best simulator, and once modded with NRAAS becomes a living breathing and evolving world... TS2 is the best dollhouse TS1 is the best nostalgia trip and by far has the best atmosphere TS4 does nothing well except for WhickedWhims...
Sims 3 felt like pretty much everything great about sims 2 but modernised with the open world etc. Sims 4 (especially at launch but even now) feels like a step back in so many ways.
I always did testingcheatsenabled true on the Home Screen before you pick a saved game so I could drag the needs up and down as I needed lmao, because watching you pay attention to all of the needs stresses me out and now I remember why I did it like that. Also side note, even with all the expansions my computer doesn’t lag that much. Idk maybe that’s just me
that moment when i remember base game's Sunset Valley after almost 12 years since i played it last time better than i remember my real life district which i visit everyday 😩
The only thing I wished they had in the sims three is the ability to explore other worlds. And I like the build ability in the sims 4 except the fact they don't have a color wheel.
I'm not even a huge TS3 fan (prefer 1&2) but the TS3 base game was fantastic. Despite its flaws, TS3 was always packed with content and out to give players as much value for their money as possible, (store aside,) and that goes for the base game as well. You can play it for hundreds of hours and still have things left to do.
Played the sims 1 & 2 because of my brothers, but fell in love with sims 3. Sims 4 was very interesting in the beginning but there was so much missing.
I literally cant finish this video because I am so sad that i will probably never play this fantastic game ever in my life (without it crashing and bugging etc)
You can. Nraas literally saved the game by themselves. loading is time consuming, but you only have to load in once per play so it isn't so bad without the excessive lag of an unmodded game.
Definitely! I love the worlds that came with the game/expansions. But a major plus is the ability to run custom worlds. There are some amazing CC creators out there! 😄
I think my sims phase is re incoming. I also play a lot of project zomboid and if you know about that game you know about the week 1 mod which basically turns the game into sims 1 zombie apocalypse dlc. Gonna be a fun weekend lol.
Sims 3 was my first sims game and it was on a ps3. Id probably get it again now that i have a pc but the prices on its expansions considering how old they are is ridiculous.
If you don't mind buying online and on steam they go on huge sales during steams regular winter + spring sales. I bought my original copy of seasons+pets for only 5.99 each :)
Or if you have a DVD ROM you can thrift the expansions for literally pennies.....just make sure they come with the key code inside the case and you're all good.
I checked in on this game today and there was an update. Before I couldn't get it to run on my new PC, no matter how I tried. But I installed the update, then I had to approve playing sims 3 on this PC by writing my log in information and voila, it worked. IT's not so long since I tried it last time, so it's possible this patch came AFTER this video was uploaded.
Funny note about the aging system in this game. You can skip an entire age (i.e. Going from young adult to elder) by letting the sim age naturally and then blow out the candles right after. Lmao. Did this on accident the other day and thought it was hilarious how the daughter suddenly became older than her parents.
Sims 3 is where i started i had finally learned how to build in the sims 3 when the sims 4 came out. Threw me for a loop thinking its be the same stuff just better graphics. But i will say i do love the sims 4 i love creating stories and going through generations theres def things the sims 4 lacks but if you put your mind and imagination to it its a good game if i wanted to add anything from the sims 3 to 4 itd be the color wheel i fear open world would be too lagy with what i got in the sims 4 😂
I just got a new pc handheld just so I can be able to play sims 3 on it. I also have my og sims 3 disk hanging on my wall. I originally played about 5000 hrs in that game ❤️ I love the open world and cars and the ability to create bands w late night.
if we could get the sims 4 building as a mod or something in sims 3 and fix the damn hitching issues, this would be peak game forever until heat death of universe
I have both the Sims 3 and Sims 4, both base game only. I have maybe 500ish hours on Sims 4. I have 1500 hours on Sims 3. I only bought them in 2022 (yeah, right before sims 4 BG was made free 🤬) By and far the best thing about sims 3 is the open world. Being able to have one sim go to a friends place and work on homework, the teen on a date, one parent working out at the gym and the other working on their charisma by chatting in the park? LOVE it. I hate that in Sims 4, when you're given an invite to go somewhere, it's immediate no chance to even set up stuff before you're whisked away. You come back and you've lost 4 hours or whatever. Sims 2 timewarp was wierd where you went somewhere and then came right back to when you left. Sims 3 does it best. I also desperately miss the colour picker and CASt tool in Sims 4. Why does nothing match?!
i feel so lucky to have played every single iteration of the sims games and oh boy does this bring back memories 🥲 although the sims 2 will always be my favourite man those open worlds are just incredible and the create a style ??!!! i can’t believe how much of a step back the franchise has taken ! will definitely watch your other sims videos :)
10:07 im still waiting for them to add this to the sims 4... normal is too short and long is too damn long .-. i know i can change it with mccc but this is so much easier
If your computer is fairly optimized its not always so bad to play with multiple or all expansions and lots of CC. It's worth a shot, just need to make sure you [save as] a new game everytime (just number them) or that can cause bloated files over time.
I have the sims 4 (with all expansions) and the sims 3 (with all expansions too) but, most of the times I still prefer to play the sims 3, it's so much better with so much more things to do and interact, that's a lot of things missing in the sims 4.
unpopular opinion but I actually like the rabbit holes! sometimes it’s nice when i’m playing a big family to send my sim to the diner or something to get a break 😂
Sims 2 was an incredible game. Money no object, sims 4 is an incredible game… Sims 3 was different though, it was a masterpiece, basically the perfect game for the genre. I am so glad I don’t know my playtime on that, I’m pretty sure it’d be more than 4 digits.
The ONLY couple things I prefer from The Sims 4 (yes, an inferior game but still) is that when you go to places they aren't empty. Also when you visit other sims they're doing stuff in their house instead of standing still.
The only reason I stopped playing this game was because I updated my crappy laptop with windows 10 by accident and the laptop became unusable. I have absolutely no idea how it ran so well on a crappy little 2012 laptop (the game was extremely laggy but it still ran, that counts as running well right?)
I really want to get back to playing this game. But I forgot to back up and lost the settings of some Nraas mods I set up back in 2016. Then I still can't reconcile that sims 3 doesn't have Manage Household & Turn off neighborhood stories feature. The NPCs/Townies are unmanageable, the game system always deletes and replaces premade service sims & townies with random generated ones that cannot be prevented even using Retuner & Register. I avoided using Nraas Story Progression because I found it too difficult to understand.
Yeah like some of the other comments states. 500 is nothing, rookie numbers in comparison 😂 Though 500 hours of pure enjoyment that I will cherish forever 😄
@SILLYGUY0000 That's impressive! How long have you been playing? I've been playing only about a month with the EA app. I had it when I was 10-12 and the nostalgia is crazy!
I miss going to the grocery store and watching them drive or bike there . Being able to buy and rename buildings . One game I named the hospital and grocery store after my children . The people around menfioning and noticing you cheating . It was so lively . Sims 4 feels so depressing because there are no real relationships between sims if you don’t control them yourself . Sims 4 is extremely boring with no mods . I could appreciate graphics and how fast it loads but it is just so gamish and nothing like real life . Being able to customize every little detail made evening so unique . Sims 3 was the best sims game made . Sims 4 is just full of bugs and disappointment . I miss teens missing curfew and getting caught by the police , the robbers , it just was so life like now it’s just stagnant and the sims stay on their phone and it annoys me so much .
I was an adult when Sims 1 came out, and have been playing since then. I have every expansion pack of every Sims game to date. Only thing I did not like about the Sims 3 was the way the Sims looked. They look like chubby cherubs, or something. Other than that, the Sims 3 is superior in every way to every other Sims game.
I’ve been playing sims 3 since 2010 and I have no regrets. I love this game

Your experience and this video makes me want to start a universe in 3 as it does seem better for someone who cares about long term stories between your sims. I try that in 4 but it be killing off my ppl too much with stupid deaths lol it’s very annoying and the open world thing I must try.
sims 3 was ahead of its time for sure.
Sims 3 is the perfect sims game, stared playing at 13 now I'm 25 and still love it ❤
I dumped so much time into this game! I have actual thousands of hours in this game and I do still have my disc copies! I do still play from time to time :)
It's such an amazing game! Just sad they never patched the lag on bigger saves... I still play it all the time, much more than Sims 4 honestly 😅
I wish I had my disc copies though, although I think I only have the base game and one or two expansions.
This game just had so much life around it, the open world aspect makes it feel like a real town and why I still play it over the sims 4 to this day.
DUDE I AM WAITING FOR PART 2. i used to play this game when i was in primary school. my fav family was Goth family. and 2 months ago i bought a cat and gave him name Mortimer lol.
Part 2 will come! But that might not focus only on the base game. Not to spoil too much though 😅
That is one awesome name for a Cat!
“I used to play Pokemon Ruby on my Gameboy on the way to school, i love that game”
me, playing Pokemon Ruby on my Gameboy with this video playing in the background: 👁️👄👁️
I wanted to play sims 4 on my new laptop and get mods and such but i just got sims 3 instead in December 2024 THANK GOD i didn’t try to fix sims 4 lol sims 3 is SOOO much better! Thank you for keeping sims 3 alive and making this video
Man. Literally spelled the cheat out loud with you 😂 brings back such good memories of the older games
I play this daily. I gave Sims 4 a red-hot go for 4 years but always back to Sims 3
3 is about doing the best for your Sim, 4 is about doing your personal RL fantasies you can’t actually do IRL and it not mattering
Like, in 3, I have an actual sense of achievement with my fairy Sim who has gone on multiple World Adventures, and looking through memories or inventory or relationships, there is the THIS HAS MEANING feeling.
Concordo contigo integralmente.
ive been playing the sims 3 lately and its soooo much fun! but the lag hurts lmao
It is, the lag is terrible at times. BUT it's so fun! That I will power through it, just remember to save once a day 😂
That's what I'm not looking forward to
Try some mods like nrass to help with the lagging. Mike was lagging a bit when I re-installed it this year but now I have almost every expansion pack, some mods and it runs pretty well.
there's a steam guide for the optimisation of Sims 3 taking you step by step. the big part is getting Sims to recognise better graphics cards
@@fredo_credo5689 thanks - I got to check that out today 😊
I think at this point I'm reaching to 3000 hours in the Sims 3. Been playing for 10+ years. EA play one day decided to put me back from 2000+ to 200... still mourning that.
Oh wow! Yea I'm nowhere near that I think 😅
But it is the only game where I have actually completed a Legacy Challenge, which did take a decent amount of hours 😄
I got the Sims 3 shortly after release, I was 9 years old & had only played the Sims 2 Castaway on my DS before that. So so so many good memories. Even after ts4 released I stuck with ts3 for years!
THAT NOSTALGIA
Cornelia and Gunther are also in the first Sims game with surname Goth Sr. . I love the first three iterations of the Sims. Have played the fourth but it wasn't for me. Sims 3 is the one I gravitate to the most for all the reasons you showcase in this video. Really enjoyed the video.
~FM :)
Really? That's kinda cool actually! Never knew that, haven't played Sims 1 since I was a kid 😅
Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching 🙏😄
Been playing since 2013. Never switching to any other Sims game, regardless of how many smooth patches, NRAas mods and such work I have to get into.
I play most of the Sims games tbh. Mostly Sims 3 though, but I have a decent amount of hours in the Sims 2 and 4 as well 😅
This is everything I wanted and more. Sims 3 is peak
The loading screen is the thing never letting my Sims go to different places in the Sims 4. Want to learn fishing - make a pond on your lot... Definitely miss sims 3
If only this game got 64bits update and able to use multiple cpu cores. It will run great with todays CPU's
True! Sadly I think at this time it's out of the question.
Still a great game though, great enough that I can make due with the problems 😅
What computer/laptop do you play with (that can handle mods & the other expansion packs)?
@@victiusplays Yes, and Sims 3 is far realistic but less optimized than sims 4
I've played like thousands of hours of this game when I was a teen. It was so laggy and full of weird bugs, but I loved it so much!
Crazy that The Sims 3 base game has more content than The Sims 4 with all DLC and expansions combined.
That ending with Bella and Mortimer got me more exited than any movie in 2024 lmao, I love what you did there
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙏😄
Would you mind sharing which mod fixes routing issues?
I'm glad to hear your game runs well! I typically stay away from CC as that seems to be the root of my lag problems usually. But mods will reduce it significantly 😄
Imagine claiming this without stating the mods used.
@@Kabotynka Isla Paradio has a whole town fix, and on a island, turn off horses, be realsitic.
TS3 is the best simulator, and once modded with NRAAS becomes a living breathing and evolving world...
TS2 is the best dollhouse
TS1 is the best nostalgia trip and by far has the best atmosphere
TS4 does nothing well except for WhickedWhims...
Sims 3 felt like pretty much everything great about sims 2 but modernised with the open world etc. Sims 4 (especially at launch but even now) feels like a step back in so many ways.
Been a diehard fan of the sims 3 franchise, nice to see others agree!
Please make this a series, this is my favourite game ever!
There will definitely be a follow up! But it might not focus solely on the base game 😅
@@victiusplays That's cool!
I literally cant finish this video because I am so sad that i will probably never play this fantastic game ever in my life (without it crashing and bugging etc)
and because there is no hope for a new better version of the sims 3...
You can. Nraas literally saved the game by themselves. loading is time consuming, but you only have to load in once per play so it isn't so bad without the excessive lag of an unmodded game.
i was still playing this game with new stuff and new map lol very amazing sims game ever
Definitely! I love the worlds that came with the game/expansions. But a major plus is the ability to run custom worlds. There are some amazing CC creators out there! 😄
16:45 i love how you said Bella Goth automatically even tho she is still a Bachelor
I remember first playing sims 3 on the disc, then I got it on Steam, I have 1,611.9 hours on the Sims 3.
awesome video! you should do one for each expansion pack
Glad you enjoyed the video! 🙏😄
I have something in mind for the follow-up, it might include more than just the base game 👀
I think my sims phase is re incoming. I also play a lot of project zomboid and if you know about that game you know about the week 1 mod which basically turns the game into sims 1 zombie apocalypse dlc. Gonna be a fun weekend lol.
no,what have u done?! now i wanna play sims3 too,which i haven't done in 10 years by now,damn u yt recommendations
Sims 3 was my first sims game and it was on a ps3. Id probably get it again now that i have a pc but the prices on its expansions considering how old they are is ridiculous.
If you don't mind buying online and on steam they go on huge sales during steams regular winter + spring sales. I bought my original copy of seasons+pets for only 5.99 each :)
sail the seven seas
If you buy it on steam, they sell the entire collection during big sales for $40 or $50
Or if you have a DVD ROM you can thrift the expansions for literally pennies.....just make sure they come with the key code inside the case and you're all good.
this video gave me such a lovely nostalgic feeling 🥰
I checked in on this game today and there was an update. Before I couldn't get it to run on my new PC, no matter how I tried. But I installed the update, then I had to approve playing sims 3 on this PC by writing my log in information and voila, it worked. IT's not so long since I tried it last time, so it's possible this patch came AFTER this video was uploaded.
This gives me such nostalgia, I used to play Sims 3 all the time on my old Wii!
Funny note about the aging system in this game. You can skip an entire age (i.e. Going from young adult to elder) by letting the sim age naturally and then blow out the candles right after. Lmao. Did this on accident the other day and thought it was hilarious how the daughter suddenly became older than her parents.
I was amazed sims 3 was 15 years ago already, but then I noticed the current Sims 4 is also 10 years old
Sims 3 is where i started i had finally learned how to build in the sims 3 when the sims 4 came out.
8:13 ALSOO ALSO the console version had a slightly different “single moms” household where it was the “single dads” connor and leonard!
Love playing Sims 3. I'm trying to complete a world I've been working on for over a year but finding the right style for the lots is torturing me 😭😭
This is all I’ve been playing 😅 it’s sooo amazing & customizable!!
I remember playing the Gold Master leak of this game, what a time to be alive. :P
I just got a new pc handheld just so I can be able to play sims 3 on it. I also have my og sims 3 disk hanging on my wall. I originally played about 5000 hrs in that game ❤️ I love the open world and cars and the ability to create bands w late night.
I think the Sims 3 is quite demanding PC game back then, I remember with my old computer to build/put House in a lot took me over 20 minutes lol..
Thank you for this amazing trip down memory lane! This was pretty entertaining
Sims 3 was as close as they'll ever reach to perfection with the sims ❤
sims 3 graphics and game play is soooo much better than sims 4
Game play, I’ll give you but graphics? lol please
Really is!
I don't mind the Graphics of the Sims 4, The Sims 3 is just a little more "Realistic" graphic wise, if that word makes sense to use 😅
@@wuzittooya please, the clocks in the Sims 3 actually move/work, in the Sims 4, they don't.
Sims 3 is the better game but Sims 4 has the better graphics. All the sims in 3 have the exact same face.
if we could get the sims 4 building as a mod or something in sims 3 and fix the damn hitching issues, this would be peak game forever until heat death of universe
I have both the Sims 3 and Sims 4, both base game only. I have maybe 500ish hours on Sims 4. I have 1500 hours on Sims 3. I only bought them in 2022 (yeah, right before sims 4 BG was made free 🤬)
By and far the best thing about sims 3 is the open world.
Sims 3 is the best game in the series, period.
I wish devs would make updates/improvements and expansion packs for Sims 3. That would be sooo worth it even after 15 years🤩
Fineeee this is the video that got me to get the sims 3
I missed this game! 2010 and 2011. I miss old games!
i feel so lucky to have played every single iteration of the sims games and oh boy does this bring back memories 🥲 although the sims 2 will always be my favourite man those open worlds are just incredible and the create a style ??!!! i can’t believe how much of a step back the franchise has taken ! will definitely watch your other sims videos :)
10:07 im still waiting for them to add this to the sims 4... normal is too short and long is too damn long .-. i know i can change it with mccc but this is so much easier
fine ill go back to the sims3… ive been playing sims 4 and crying about the lack of customization without mods
The Sims 3 is the ultimate Sims game imo, but I do want to go back and play The Sims 1 and 2 on PS2 as well as Bustin' Out and The Urbz.
If your computer is fairly optimized its not always so bad to play with multiple or all expansions and lots of CC. It's worth a shot, just need to make sure you [save as] a new game everytime (just number them) or that can cause bloated files over time.
TS3 is the best Sims game😁I'm a console player but I want to get a PC just to play this masterpiece again lol
I didn't know there was a Sims 4, it must not be popular
Can you please move Michael in to the house with the pool with a bridge and two bedrooms? Cant find a way to play the sims 3 anymore.
There is a version on the high seas with all the expansion packs in 1 download.
Sims 3 was my first sims game and it is my favorite but it’s so laggy and buggy 😩💘
It is... It really is, but it's worth powering through I would say. Some mods, tweaks and patience get you a long way 😅
It's way less buggy than Sims 4
Sims 2 was an incredible game. Money no object, sims 4 is an incredible game… Sims 3 was different though, it was a masterpiece, basically the perfect game for the genre. I am so glad I don’t know my playtime on that, I’m pretty sure it’d be more than 4 digits.
The best the sims to date no questions
I might get sims 3 again… thank you
Still playing Sims 3 (with a lot of the expansion packs). Could play it for hours… sims 4 get closed after an hour or so, such a downgrade🥲😅
I feel exactly the same way! If I boot up the game after I put my son to sleep. Suddenly it's 1 am and I'm gonna have a rough day at work 😂
@ saaame i always get scared when i see how late it’s already 💀
The ONLY couple things I prefer from The Sims 4 (yes, an inferior game but still) is that when you go to places they aren't empty. Also when you visit other sims they're doing stuff in their house instead of standing still.
Bro read that his sims favorite color is green and changes every green thing about him lol
Yeeah... That's me 😂 tbf my favorite color is blue and I don't own a single blue piece of clothing 😅
I avoided using Nraas Story Progression because I found it too difficult to understand.
bella disappearing is just plain creepy
When I saw 31 hours I was like oh that's nothing I've got over 150 then you said 500 hours my mouth dropped😮😂😂
i had 2000 hours on origin LMAO
Yeah like some of the other comments states. 500 is nothing, rookie numbers in comparison 😂
Though 500 hours of pure enjoyment that I will cherish forever 😄
Other than that, the Sims 3 is superior in every way to every other Sims game.
on origin I had 2,000 hours. I mourn the sims 4 not having followed the sims 3 more closely
