Bolt was right- when Justin reached the 60m mark and Bolt is still there with him, the race becomes a mental battle at that point. Justin panicked even tho he was in far better physical shape than Bolt who perhaps was in the worst shape of his career. But Bolt still won the race. Why? Mental fortitude. And that’s why he’s the GOAT. Same applies to Asafa who is perhaps the greatest technical sprinter of all time yet didn’t have the mental fortitude to be a Champion on the biggest stage when it really mattered.

Most athletes understand competition & have respect for each other. It's the media that creates the conflict in the publics eyes. In the public turns against particular athletes bcuz of media hype

🇯🇲🇯🇲 Nuff respect for Gatlin and his mental fortitude.
Very few track or field athletes have ever been banned for soo long and came back to be a world-beater.
Respect also for the honesty; seldom are most willing to look vulnerable at the expense of their egos.

Redemption is my point; the comeback, the sustain belief in self amidst the name-calling : the used to be, the never was and could’ve been, to the top of the heap.
He has gained so much respect that even his former rivals/nay sayers/haters are now tipping their hats to him.

@BORNFREE876 redemption? What did he win after being a confirmed cheat. It's not unwarranted name calling he cheated so is called out. Secondly because he never got busted again does not mean he didn't cheat again. And I read and understood clearly, you just brush ova the fact that to infact cheat is the truest indication of a lack of mental fortitude and belief. Coming back after cheating isn't the hardest task having integrity and staying true is the real mental fortitude. The fact people big him up as part of a great rivalry without winning and cheating is the real travesty. The fact his name is attached to the real don bolt is a disrespect to bolt and the sport.
