Ahh thank you, for the record we think P&O absolutely is value for money. For us personally, there is so much to do and the more time that passes, the more we overlook the points we made about the service... The core experience is great. Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much! This one was a bit different and took a while longer to put together so glad it went down well! Still think you had the better Arvia service but hopefully we will be luckier next time with P&O xxxx
Did the transatlantic crossing last year on my own ( 5 months after my dear wife’s passing) and couldn’t find a fault , loved it ( sad to be on my own) you should really try main dining and share a table and talk to people and make ( or avoid) friends it made my holiday and folk were so understanding. Enjoyed it so much I am doing the same trip with a friend who also lost his wife same day one year later. Great ship, meals entertainment, voyage better than destination
So glad you enjoyed the cruise and very sorry for your loss. We should have done the main dining room we did intend to and will definitely make sure to eat there on the next P&O cruise! Hope your next cruise is just as brilliant as the one you did! Thanks for watching, take care 💙
Thanks for sharing great vlog, lots of great advice for anyone thinking of going on a first time cruise really helpful information on what and what not to get regarding packages thanks once again for sharing xx
Loved following along on your cruise. Love hearing your overall thoughts on the sailing. Love hearing about the food - that’s my favorite part of cruising. Breakfast buffets have been chaos every cruise I’ve been on lol. Sorry to hear the buffet here felt limited. We always loved Royal Caribbeans variety too, hopefully P&O steps it up a bit. Silent discos look like a blast! Sad about the non personal service. We have been noticing that all over now. Fantastic overview and chat you guys! 😊
Yes all the food it’s got to be the highlight of cruising haha royal Caribbean did blow them out of the water on a lot of things it was hard not to compare haha thanks so much for watching hope you have a great weekend 💙🤩
Great review with a lot of details on the cruise. Based on everything you stated I would agree service is what was lacking a little. The food and entertainment looked super fun and we enjoyed the vlog series. I would love to try a P&O cruise. Definitely a great price for everything included.
Yeah everything apart from the service was fab and my mum and dad went on the same ship and it was excellent so I think we were unlucky. Definitely would recommend it’s a great price and hopefully everything is smoothed out soon hah thanks so much for watching 🤩💙
Your review sums up many of the same issues I had on Iona last year. Not that it was a bad experience but that standards aren’t quite what I’d expect. Brodies and The Clubhouse were very busy in the evenings and the crew in both weren’t great. Definitely try the MDR next time, especially on Celebration Night when the dinner is more upscale and the breakfast there is very good. If you want to try another P&O ship I’d highly recommend Ventura as the crew on there were incredible.
We was on Ventura last year & thought the same as you. The crew were lovely & our waiter & waitress in the dining room were incredible. Off on Aurora in September.
@@chocoholic832 I’m pleased to hear that you had a similar experience on Ventura. I was actually on Aurora a couple of weeks ago. Great ship, albeit a little smaller but again the crew were excellent. I wonder if the issues are more to do with the passage to crew ratio on the larger ships?
Good to know about Ventura, we enjoyed the overall experience that P&O offered I think, and very budget friendly which is always a huge help. It was not for the lack of trying r.e the MDR! The virtual queue system was just coincidentally busy when we tried The ratio could definitely be an issue on Arvia/Iona. I think a potential choke point in the busy areas is the one or two crew with the touchpads as opposed to ordering from the bar directly. It can be done, Symphony of the Seas even larger than Arvia, and no issues of the sort.
@@RipRideVlogIt P&O offer good value cruises and thankfully the drinks aren’t too expensive. The weird thing is, ordering from the bar is new and only on to 2 largest ships. Sometimes I really don’t understand decisions that companies make because it’ll only make the issue worse!
Just watched your vlog and agree with everything you said about the service we sailed in July on the Arvia to the Mediterranean and experienced exactly the same issue regarding service.Having also sailed with Royal Caribbean we agree that the customer service was far superior
Thanks mate. It can sometimes be hard to point the finger at service but it absolutely was sub par in places. Other places onboard were good, but Royal (we did Symphony) outshines Arvia in every department
One of these days we may have to plan a P&O cruise. I love med all the food and drink bits and all the entertainment. The ship is a beautiful ship and we have loved following along for this series. 😊💙
It was really good, really reasonably priced but yet just some tweaks they could make to bring it from great to excellent! Thank you so much for watching! Hope you have a great weekend 💙🤩
Good vlog !! your wise to take in the price in your vlog an amazing price .However it would be worth considering paying abit more and try Virgin Voyages seems pricey but so much included food and drinks wise .
Hey this comment got lost sorry about the late reply! 100%, very difficult to argue with the price point for what you get, especially being on the other side of the Atlantic, a built in fly-cruise proposition is really attractive. We want to do a premium line soon and Virgin looks great. We shall see!
Enjoyed your Arvia trip. It's a shame you dont do more, but obviously not cheap cruising, will look forward to your next one though. Have a good one guys!!!
Thank you so much glad you enjoyed! And I really wish we could that would be the dream haha we have Marella discovery in feb and allure of the seas in May and who knows what else we can plan haha thanks so much! Hope you have a great weekend 💙🤩
I’ve been on sister ship Iona three times and loved it. Much prefer it to the smaller, older P&O ships. Going on Arvia twice in the next 6 months, so really looking forward to those cruises. Each to their own on what they want and don’t like.
Definitely agree it’s all down to personal preference. We do intend to try Iona as well and do like the bigger ships. Glad to hear you enjoyed your sailings and hope you have a fab time on Arvia! Thanks for watching 💙✨
It took a few clips to make me realise this was the review of the cruise that we already saw the episodes of 😂 but I had forgotten Gromit was on board, really interesting hearing the costings, 999 is less than a week in Menorca, but service for me is the most important thing, average food lovely service is always better than world class food and lousy service, perhaps without the American guests who tip hard they didn't go all in perhaps? Hope u have a few treats planned before Feb.
Thanks for rewatching all the cruise videos in another format haha 😂😂 yeah service is important to us and it really stood out, my mum and dad went on Arvia and had the best service so I think we were unlucky! We’ve got Florida at the start of October so just trying to get as healthy as possible for that in the meantime hah thanks for watching! Hope you have a great weekend 🤩💙
The Headliner shows are all a bit “cheesy”, but you have to give credit to the performers who give their best with what they’re given. FYI Greatest Days isn’t the Take That story. Its a truncated version of their show which Features TT songs.
Yeah we know it wasn’t down to the performers and do think we said that but just saying how we found the shows overall. Good to know about Grestest Days 👍 thanks for the comment ✨
Can’t go into it as it would be a story. Never do it again. Most of our family couldn’t do the whole 14 days they left at alacanti and flew back home as did some other families on arvia,if you have young children there is nothing for them very limited, wouldn’t do P.O again 🤦♀️
Sorry to hear that, hope you’re all ok. We don’t have children so don’t have any experience with the service/ entertainment in this area. Maybe a different cruise line would be better for your family if you wanted to try a cruise again 💙
We traveled on P&O’s sister ship Iona in 2023. It was definitely our worst cruise by far. Terrible service and overworked staff. We won’t be using P&O again. Very disappointed! The ship was a little bland too. IKEA comes to mind 🤔.
We were hoping Iona might have been better so that’s interesting to hear your experience! They really need to add more staff or do something to approve the service across their ships! Thanks for watching and for your comment 💙🤩
Excellent review, we go on the Arvia next year on a med cruise and I love watching peoples different views, thanks for a great vlog.

Excellent review-thank you both. Helped us a lot as we have booked a 14 night cruise on Arvia and cannot wait!!
Glad we could be of help! We would do Arvia again in a heartbeat :) thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing

Thanks so much for watching! 🤩💙 xx
What a great Vlog, I watch all the big Vlogers out there
But for anyone going on this ship it was spot on 😊👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks so much for watching 🤩💙

The 15 drinks limit, is that 15 between two people or 15 drinks per person?
Hey there. It’s 15 alcoholic drinks each and unlimited soft drinks/coffee etc thanks for watching 💙🤩
