It’s got me into thinking about checking other show abroad. A few people have mentioned Milan and Cologne so I may be giving them a review later in the year.
Unfortunately I never went to those venues. I’d always just gone to the NEC. I’m not a blade expert just an admirer over the years so I wouldn’t know if a particular generation was missing.
I was going to go this year for the first time, but the cost of the train and an overnight hotel in London gave me cold feet, not to mention the faff so I didn't bother. So glad I didn't now! Thanks for the video and keep them coming please.
Absolute waste of time and £25 entrance fee no Honda, no Ducati, no Indian cheap leather stalls that have no connection with motorcycle clothing, what the hell are shoe shine stalls and dog tracker stalls doing there, huge gaps between stalls and they put a track through the centre of the hall to take up space. I go cos I live close and a family member gets me free tickets but no way would I pay to go.
Blimey and I thought the Birmingham show was poor at best. £32 on the door plus rip off parking at £17.50. Apparently the biggest motorbike show in the world in Milan is only £25. Save your pennies and make a weekend of it because the Uk shows have become a waste of money 😂
I was amazed at seeing a stall for dog food and one just selling cakes. You expect a few over priced burger vans but probably more food than bikes lol.
There’s a reason no one goes. The NEC is the only one that holds a somewhat decent amount of manufacturers, but even that has halved in size over the years. Anyone into bikes knows this.

Why bother when as others have said it’s so expensive to just get there (if not living in London). I may have answered that question already.. it’s only for Londoners, that would make sense I guess.

I was there on Sunday. To say I wasted £27 (I'm 65 so get a concession) plus a long walk from Canning Town as the DLR wasn't running is an understatement. The show was crap and I won't be going again.

Recent scandal London show full of fake substandard CE marked clothing, closed down by Trading Standards. NEC is a rip off as well. I visit biannual Cologne or Milan, entrance fees 5€ or 8€ for OAPs. Combines a great long weekend away, shame that the Cologne show does not coincide with the Christmas markets that would be heaven. Considering Paris show if OAP rates are attractive. If you write to MCN describing how disappointed you were by either U.K. Bike shows or challenge the entrance fees, your letter will never be published. I believe the London show charges £25.00 on the door and all done in one hour. Thank you for the insightful review, confirmed I made the right decision.

After a few comments regarding other shows in Europe I may go over and compare them. Regarding MCN I gave up reading that years ago. Totally right regarding g the price. I paid £25 online with a recession on parking at £13.
@@Robbiemoto The NEC show is far superior to the London show, no argument. But it is the most expensive bike show in Europe, especially for OAPs. Many years ago I came to the conclusion that it’s not worth visiting every year, perhaps once every three to five years. When I visited the European exhibitions I never returned to the NEC. Travel to the continent used to be extremely easy from my home. Now the huge “sovereignty” delays are a bloody nightmare and only likely to get worse.

MCN big this up. I went about 20 years ago, and it was crap then. We ended up going into town on the beer as we'd spent out on train tickets. I'll certainly never bother again!
I drove down. The train prices were stupid. We ended up catching the underground towards the 02 and had a wander around there. Food a couple of drinks then back home.
@@Robbiemoto If you're into older bikes I think the Stafford classic mechanics show would be better. Not been for a few years, but last time I went it was OK. Bit of a trek for me though, about 4yrs drive each way.
I booked online for £25 and an additional £13 for parking. If you haven’t been to the Birmingham show I’d recommend it. Over the years even that show has had some poor years but I can’t recall it being as small as the London show. I like the idea of trying out the Milan show.
Went on the Friday, was in and out in just over an hour. Biggest thing was the central arena which created excessive fumes and noise, and just iced the cake on a poor experience. Will not make that mistake again. Poor all round.

Classic car and bike shows are for that. I attend to see latest stuff. I know electric bikes are not particularly cared for but the NEC show had loads of manufactures. I didn’t see one at London.
I visited on Saturday. As soon as I walked into the exhibition hall, I said to my father in law "This isn't anything near the size it used to be". I couldn't believe how much cost cutting had taken place - no carpets, half the stalls were selling tat, too many overpriced food stalls and some big manufacturers missing. Poor of Honda not to have a proper display, though I did appreciate seeing the 2016 Fireblade SP again. No Ducati was a big mistake as well as no Aprilla. I don't think Excel is a great location either. The Khan tax is killing the venue and East London really does look overindustrialised and like a bomb site. Don't think I'll be going back anytime soon.

I looked at taking a train from Coventry to London it was £78.
It was much cheaper to drive down and pay to park.
