    Thank you for making this video which helped me cure my troublesome Husqvarna hover mower which would only run on full choke. Having watched your tutorial it's now running like a sewing machine! Best wishes from Ireland ☘

    This was a great video. Helped me a lot with figuring out how to take apart my leaky carb. Looks pretty well identical to mine. and I just now realized that my float pin came off the float so now I'll be taking it apart again and connecting the pin again.
    thanks a bunch for posting this. Great work!

    Thanks, installing the float was what I wanted to see and it was out of frame BUT you forgot to hook the float needle and that is what I wanted to know about YAY for forgetfulness. Great vid. Thanks again.

    Just wanted to say thanks, my snow blower wouldn't stay running for more than 30 seconds before stalling fully choked,. Pulled the carb off, cleaned it, bought a new bowl seal and intake gasket and it started up 1st pull. Had to start it a couple more times to make sure it was going to start again but, it didn't stall after that and ran a good 10 mins without a pop or sputter... ~ Master procrastinator

    Thanks. Watching this video I have decided that it's better to pay someone to clean my carburator.

    Thanks for the vid. The correct height for the float is to lay a 11/32 drill bit under the front and bend that tab to just touch it. Also the straight edge of the wire clip must point towards the air cleaner side, not the engine side or it will bind.

    thanks for this video, bought a mower which was flooding due to sticky float, got it free'd up without removing the carb completely and mowed the lawn, but next day fuel is gone from the tank, so thinking float might be stuck again or float level too low or not clipped into the seat as you demonstrated. (could also be a leaky hose. no fuel evidence unfortunately)

    Mine would not quit surging until I ran a small flexable wire ( copper ) thru the holes at the throttle butterfly. Then cut the tip of the carb spray to a 45° so it would seal against those holes when entering the Venturi. After that blew air into the needle hole and that did the job. Now it runs like new.

    I rebuilt my Tecumseh Series 11 carburetor almost 2 years ago with Original Tecumseh Service Parts. That engine has been running so well. Makes me wonder why they stop making Engines.

    Ive taken mine apart and am used to the old mini bike carbs. I do however have a small small small spring associatedwith the float inside which I have no idea why I need to go the trouble of figuring how it goes. How important is the little float/needle spring?

    Your float is way too low, you need to level it up ( little bit more that horizontal). And by the way, ¾ to 1 on the side and 1½ on the bottom on the screws.

    I just came across this video so this may be a little too late. If you look at the float where the cutoff needle is connected to it there is a tab. Bending that tab adjust the float height. Check the specs for the height.

    If fuel comes out of the red straw from the intake of the carb is that the float adjustment

    • @suthrnrepair
      @suthrnrepair  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      If fuel is coming out it is 1 of 3 things float adjustment is way off ..or the shut off needle is not sealing and stopping the fuel from filling the bowl .. or the float could be stuck

    • @stevericci3308
      @stevericci3308 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      suthrnrepair thanks for that, I figured it out after watching your video. Float was way off on the adjustment. Appreciate the help .

    I have a defect Tecumseh Lawn mower (model: 11A435R5150601620-A). after I cleaned out the carburetor, I started, but the gas running out so much from carburetor to air cleaner.Why?Please help me to fix this problem. Thanks. Leo

    • @alext9067
      @alext9067 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Float valve in the carburetor bowl is stuck open. Gas tank is higher than carb so you got that gravity thing. You can take off the bowl and raise the float to see if it's cutting off the fuel flow. I think you'll be fine.

    I don't want to bash you and your video but, yes but, if you do another video remember to when commentating speak clearly. I got distracted by mumbling and heavy breathing. It sounded like you just ran and couldn't catch your breath. I'm not making fun. If its a health issue bud you need to get looked at.
    Other than that it was good.
