I love that you’re finally reviewing this. I have a ton of retro handhelds but the Rg28xx is my favorite and I play it everyday. Also there’s a new Anbernic software update for it and they added DS
I totally understand the bit about having it with you at all times as a comfort item. It’s exactly why it’s in my pocket 24/7 these days. I originally bought it to play with something while I impatiently wait for my Rp2S but I’ve become quite attached to the zazzbitty. It’s so convenient to have it around at all times and not even notice it in your pocket.
I've had my Zazzbitty for about a month and I absolutely love it it reminds me of my old Pocket Go and just ordered that 35XX SP Anbernic is killing me but I can't help but to get these awesome little handhelds I feel the same as you playing old favs on new tech does make the experience feel fresh again always enjoy your videos.
My mom does her taxes like 3 times a week with her boyfriend. She doesn't even have a job or is any good at math?! I guess she's moral support. Glad I'm not the only one. Also, thank you TD for another great video. Cheers
I am glad you are enjoying this one. I had a similar experience with the original bit boy AND the Miyoo mini. BUT those both gave me pretty bad hand cramps after 45min-1hr of play. Good news? The RG35xx SP to the rescue! The SP hurts my hands WAY WAY less and the larger screen is nice to have. It's also JUST small enough to fit comfortably in the pocket. So for me, the SP fits.
Pocket Sandwich! This is the 3rd or 4th of your videos I've come across since falling into the Retro Handheld rabbithole, and the sandwich earned the sub!!!
It's cool that you touch on the screen when watching your favorite tech tuber. I thought I only did that while watching your videos. Wait, nevermind that last part 🙄
Im not sure why no one usually mentions this about Anbernic's confusing naming convention, but 35xx series stand for 3.5 inch screens, and 28xx is for 2.8 inches. I didnt pick up a 28xx yet, as im hoping for a plus version and see what that adds yet. But honstly, Zazzbizzle and Zazzbitty just makes so much sense right now.
I always found the MM+ a bit too heavy for all-day-every-day carry. This Zazzbitty has the potential to dethrone my non+ MM just because of the battery life alone (although not having Onion is a big turnoff). I'm curious what Dweeb from 2 months in the future will have to say on the topic.
You are not aware of the v90s reviews! Those are classic videos on this channel. I got my three kids powkiddy v90s based on that review. Check it out👌🏽
It looks so fun and convenient to carry with you wherever you go. Even though I just discovered retroarch for my phone I feel the need to buy a Zazzbitty 🤔
Talk about “setting the new standard for creative and interesting videos” you are the shizzznit homie! Makes a grown man/nerd cry….😢…… bless your heart king 🤴
Various reviewers had the same opinion about the buttons, but i was in your camp the size largely didnt factor into any if their function. For example the rg nano was a device you liked and for some of the same reasons. The screen was a touch too small and underpowered to really be the same level of functional and that was when you didnt have limitations with scaling and performance. So far, i am giving it a run as my "carry" device because it is like stacking 2.5 rg nanos wide with a slightly shallower depth, but the chipset is where this device shines. The custom OS options are solid with knulli being my front runner right now because the latest (paid) alpha builds are starting to include support for WIFI dongles (limited right now to a few different wifi adapter chipsets) I think if you can put a 64 bit portmaster game on the device (Stardew Valley is my obsession for this standard) it would lock down the Performance, Price, Portability triangle that i have seemed to unconsciously create to judge my micro devices on.
11:19 "I do not ever leave the house without a [toy]. I have this pathetic thing where I need a comfort object, some sort of toy that I know I can turn to that'll make me happy. I've always been this way, even as a little dweeb. I always need a familiar toy with me at all times." ^ That's exactly how I got my name. The name was given to me because I always kept at least one toy with me.
Great review! Might be one of the greatest pocket players! I could see myself loading all my gba and snes libraries on this to take and play more places! But I managed to grab the 35xx H for cheaper and it comes with sticks.
Getting caught up with my favorite creators pieces of content and what's that song from Vanessa Williams? 🎵 Save the Best for last 🎵 "They needed to do their taxes..." 😂 Dweeb, you're the best.
Very funny and entertaining video, thumbs up! I hardly ever use handhelds when I'm out and about, but almost exclusively at home - which somewhat defeats the purpose of these devices. So this one is a bit TOO small for my purposes, but certainly interesting for 'on-the-go gamers'. Nice review! Greetings from Germany! PS: It's amazing what you get out of your pockets... 🙂
I'm happy you mentioned the screen. I feel it doesn't get enough attention. Explosions are gorgeous in games on this screen. I enjoy it tons! Glad I grabbed it over the miyoo 30. I found knulli pretty awesome too. I noticed Vlad the Nerd had a tough time with it. Knulli on here rocks!
Yeah I saw Vlad's vid. I think on the Zazzbizzle you really gotta do the SAMBA/PC Wifi transfer method to get it to work properly (with the sticks and ports), otherwise you'll run into the problems he had. My build on the Zazzbizzle is perfect. My Zazzbitty build isn't as good, I don't have the ports working (like Vlad), but on this little bitty thing I only care about the retro stuff (and DOS!), so I'm good.
I still love from time to time to bring my Gameboy Micro and play it while waiting for the bus or while waiting in line for something. While I find it ridiculously small to be my main fun machine, it is an awesome experience for a couple of minutes of fun, specially considering it is tiny. Seems this handheld attempts to fill that same niche! Pretty cool. Thanks for sharing
I picked one up. Set up an SD card while I wait. Plenty of stuff to fill a 128 GB card. No analog stick means more portable. Legit gonna just get a sock or something to put it in and bring it everywhere!
@@TechDweeb Kinda didn’t think about portability with the RG405V, which is otherwise a really great console. Hence the new purchase. Also, as you may know, buying retro handhelds is addictive. 😆
Usually it's strictly size that determines pocketability, but the button rattle on this device makes it a no go for carrying it in your pocket, unless you want people to think you are a rattle snake. The rattle really is that bad, even after trying to dampen them. I have the a30 as well, and it's built more solid in my opinion. It gives up a little performance, but for what you're really going to play on something this size, unpopular opinion, but the a30 is the superior product.
Rattle is the easiest thing to mod out. On the 35xx H, tiny bits of sticky tack on the button "joint" fixed all rattle. You'll know exactly what i mean when you open the back plate.
The orange and white wasn't doing it for me. If it was orange and black then I would have considered it, but I'm happy with the DMG color scheme so it matches the rest of my favorite toys
Another great video. Anbernic seems to be doing well this year. They are kinda recycling the internals but having different form factors gives you a wider audience.
Oh man, this zazzbitty reminds me of the Dingoo A320... I really gotta get back into the retro handheld scene. Also didn't expect to get the booty shake 3 seconds in without at least paying for it first. 🤣

Oh, the outro is so sick!! I am making a game room background for my channel too. I hope it turns out as nice as yours. I am enjoying my RG28xx too. Like it better than the RG35xxH
Tech Dweeb Ive thought heavily about getting this handheld but thoughts on your experience with hand cramps, lack of BT/Wifi negatively impacting your overall experience? Thanks great content!!
Oh that's a hard call. I'd go with the MM, but that's just because I haven't had the Zazzbitty long enough to say how I'll feel about it after a few months. This COULD be my new daily driver forever, we'll see!
Your naming scheme is definitely way better than Anbernic's. Love the Zazzbitty, what a cutie :3 I haven't found "that" one device that just clicks and makes you wanna play tons of games yet.
