- The brand is called JACOOL, seems to be high quality and LOUD. This ALARM DISC BRAKE LOCK is a security anti-theft lock. I bought it for $22 on EBAY.
It works by locking the disc brake, which helps to stop the movement of vehicles and keep the security of vehicle.

I use this lock on my e-scooter, along with an icocopro bike u-lock for added protection. About a year and a half ago, I locked up my e-scooter on a bike rack and walked into a panda express to get some food. It was almost evening, and there weren't too many people in the area. I was in line for about 3-5 mins when I heard a loud, blaring, sound. Most of the people in the store, myself included, turned to the direction of the sound and saw a guy wearing a black covid mask and a brown ball cap just running out of the scene with some kind of tool in his hands. He was running from the bike rack. I recognized the alarm and knew it was mine, so I walked out of the store and used the key to silence the alarm on the lock. There was also a slice mark on my u-lock, but the cut had only dipped into the rubberized exterior; the metal bit inside was barely damaged.
I would have been a sad puppy if I walked out of panda express with my e-scooter stolen. The bike lock would probably not have lasted too long, but the loud alarm is definitely what sent the thief running.

I have the MYSBIKER lock. It's the exact the same lock. The battery has lasted 2 years so far and still going strong. I have replacement batteries as well. I've put it on my Kymco scooter disk brake every night for those 2 years. Worth every cent.

The mrs just bought me one for fathers day to go on the mountain bike. Have to leave it chained up outside my apartment in a communal hallway that crackheads often break into. Hoping it will wake me up if one tries cutting the chain off

Does it go off when motion is detected or only when it is touched?
@@harveyward6337 if i put it on my rear brake disk and walk by my bike and accidentally brush against the handlebars it will detect it and sound its warning. Its pretty sensitive.

They broke mine very easily. Photo available. After a small Research that I did apparently after the incident I found That that type of lockers can be cut extremely easily so I recommend do you not buy them or use them in addition with more lockers or buy a disc lock with 50£ ++

Thanks for the video. It would be more helpful if you would show the lock from all angles and show the process for changing the batteries. I am wondering if there is a weakness in how the batteries are changed. I have seen other cheap locks that can be disabled by just using an allen wrench to remove the batteries or completely disassemble the lock, without using the key. It's not clear from this video at all if there are similar weaknesses in this device. Thanks!

I may be wrong, but I would expect that if your able to ride the bike while forgetting the alarm is on, then the alarm didn't work very well lol, if you need an orange cable to remind you of the alarm to prevent damage then the alarm sucks.
Thanks for watching and subscribe! Sometimes the tire can be positioned in a way that doesn’t activate the alarm. Also if you do activate the alarm its annoying to have to rush to unlock the alarm. Memory cable is a clever touch to have

I’ve got one of these alarm locks, only issue I have is when the rain cover is on the cover sets off the alarm.
Is this also suitable for e-scooters like xiaomi m365 pro/pro2? Or its not going to fit?

Bought an expensive ebike today and ordered two of these. Front and back wheels are both going to be screaming if anything happens. The thieves in my town are known for stealing what they can, including just an individual wheel. Animals.

I do have an disk lock with alarm. it's old, still works, but without the alarm. I've removed it long ago, because every single bump in the road was triggering it, when I was driving and it was closed. I think that you have this one a long time already. so, have you faced any issue with the alarm, when driving, or just because you moved it? thanks in advance
Thanks for watching and subscribe. No i only made the video right when i got it. It worked great and ive never had an issue. In july 2020 i believe it will be a year old. I store it in the pouch because i dont use it every single time, only when i park it somewhere where i think it should have it on, mainly at the gym.
@Rata 4U pretty easy: the one that I have goes on when is locked. if I let it loose, doesn't take long to any bump make it close and activate. too many bumps? not really, but every time that you make an turn, anything loose is pushed against something. a lot of times, it closes the thing, activating the alarm. the same thing happened when it was mailed to me. the postman asked me about what was making that noise. somehow, it was activated and you already can guess the rest of it.
@Rata 4U since has passed an long time since the last time that I've looked at the alarm himself, I've looked again, just to clarify: that thing doesn't have any connection with the lock. therefore, doesn't matter if the lock is closed or not, it will always be on. due that, doesn't matter if it's armed or not, it always is armed. due that, any movement that you do, may trigger the alarm. I've fixed that already. just removed it from the locker and stached in another part of my bike. now, it only will be armed at my command. so, no more worries with that

if it takes more than 30 seconds and involves making loud noise they aint going to go anywhere near it one of your neighbours will see it and will either phone the poilce or the fact that your neigbours are watching will scare them away they will move on to someone elses bike. remember if its inconvenient for you having to undo all the locks covers etc then it will be more inconvenient for them

Thanks for watching and subscribe. The alarm will sound for 3 seconds first time, then if moved more it will do 10 seconds. Then again 10 seconds if moved more, so yes it will turn off by itself as long as movement stops

No you cant do that… if the lock is closed then it will be armed, and the alarm will sound for 10 -15 seconds (i know that sounds like a short time but when the noise is so loud then its plenty of time)

Thanks for this review video. I'm wondering when the lock is stored in a bag, can it be locked accidentally (by pushing the bag with lock to something e.g. your seat while shacking) and then being triggered during riding.
Thanks for watching and subscribe… when its in the bag, its easy to push the button a little bit, but the button travels a long way before “locking” in, ive never had it accidentally be pressed
You can put something into the gap of the lock, to prevent pressing accidentally.

Thanks for watching and subscribe. It is pretty heavy and kind of hangs on the disc brake, so the wind moving it is not likely to happen. The brake alarm feels heavy like a block of solid metal.

you keep stopping it before the 10seconds are over??? dude what happens after the 10seconds? it stops then what? does it stop completely or does it keep going on completely or does it go on for another 10 seconds that kinda shits important to know otherwise its useless

XENA is the way to go. A bit more expencive but i trust them more then this chinese alarms. I think those batteries will drain fast in cold days. Xena use better batery lithium cr2 :)

@Rata 4U chinese vs made in chine is not the same! Iphone is made in china as well. I dont say chines ppl dont know how to made quality stuff... i used to have chinese alarm on my motorcycle ! I end up buying SCORPIO SR-900. The problem with the chinese one was that it was drainning my motorcycle batery like crazy... yeah they are cheap but you neet to be lucky to have a good product. If this disklock is excetption i will buy it... but like i told you i just dont trust chinese products.
Speaking about the batterys i just wanted to say thet they are very small and i dont expect them to last for a long time.
If you are happy with this product ok. I have xena and i cant complaing. I have been using it in all weater scenarion.. rain, snow, sun and still works like new :)

Elyssa D it’s made out of weak materials like cast zinc a hammer would take that lock off in 5 seconds, you ideally want a lock made from stainless steel I would recommend ABUS locks they are from Germany and make the best security in the world, their locks are expensive but it’s worth the investment if you want to keep your motorcycle.

These are thick and won’t fit all discs so do your research on what will fit your bike, also if your sprocket has holes in that is a great place to put locks.

Stop using this shit. It's made from the worse metal. Rolled my bike backwords manually with the lock on, pinching the lock against the fork cover and the lock body broke in half with no force at all
