I remember taking the city bus to go buy 400 Degrees from the record store when I was 16…and bam, I was on the Cash Money team. Knew Wayne was going to blow up when the Block is Hot came out. They had a lot of songs that weren’t on the radio where the lyrics just hit, especially being a city kid.
BG had the best solo song on guerilla warfare with Help. That beat quality was all the way up there, and the lyrics matched the beats energy. I remembered sitting in class before it started listening to that song on my cd player which I still have!! 😆

I think the big difference between cash money and no limit….the singles. Cash money always picked the most prominent songs for singles. No limit was horrible at picking singles. A lot of no limits were chasing singles and not the best songs on the album. I would of moved around a couple but a very solid in depth list. BG Was a favorite I can tell we think alike.

I don’t know if 400 was the nail in the coffin for No Limit, but it certainly put NL on strong defense. I think what killed it for NL was the departure of Beats by the pound. Nonetheless, 400 is definitely my favorite Cash Money album, followed by How U Luv That.

Solid list although I felt "Hood Rich" was rated too low, "Big Money Heavy Weight" was mad underrated, little known fact, Big Money Heavy Weight was originally supposed to be the title of their debut album but ironically ended up being their last album. I would have put It's All On You Vol 2 slightly ahead of Chopper City In The Ghetto and I really like Chopper City 1 but that was released in 96. Mac had one of my favorite verses on that album. You got the Hot Boys album in correct order because I used to argue day and night that "Get It How You Live" was their best project. That includes one of my favorite Bun B verses on "I'm Comin". Gotta give honorable mention to UNLV "Uptown 4 Life" although that was also in 96. Love the video. I don't know if you have yet but labels you should do is Hypnotized Minds and groups you should do is UGK.
