The Guy Gardner run after he was booted from the GL corp and went on his quest for Sinestro's ring, is one of my favs. Once they retconned him into a "Vuldarian", I was pissed.
Matthew Settle actually played Guy Gardner in the unaired Justice League of America TV pilot from 1997. He had the traditional Guy Gardner vest and boots, but had Kyle Rayner's mask.
Real Question, geeks. Who was the Green Lantern on duty in the sector that contained Krypton during the time that it exploded? Has Kal-El ever had a conversation with the Guardians (or a Green Lantern) about this? I'm not an expert but I read a lot of the main titles back during the time of Crisis on Infinite Earths (the first one) and collected the cross-over issues from all of the other titles that it intersected (and that is where I first encountered Guy Gardner). I have wondered about this for a while but I wanted to wait for you to do another GL episode so that the question was on topic. Thanks, love the show and keep up the great work!
This article explains it: www.cbr.com/green-lantern-krypton-sector-superman/ although a lot of this might've been retconned with Bendis's Rogol Zaar storyline.
Thank you Jason and Ashley! On a bigger picture, what do you think of DC firing Dan DiDio, co-publisher? Is it a sign that AT&T is looking to shut down DC as a comic book company?
He will now be portrayed by Nathan fillion for Superman: Legacy
