Hal Jordan is easily the best Lantern because he always makes the hardest call ever the stuff that no lantern wants to do like taking the blame of the lantern corps, save the universe after screwing it first and fighting hopeless opponents.
Hal is not overrated at all. He is the best. Just is. He´s got the best GL storylines: Sinestro Corps War, Blackest Night, Wrath of the First Lantern, Lights Out, Godhead... Besides Hal I like Guy and Kyle.
I was of course into Batman and Spider-Man like every boy is at a young age but Green Lantern was actually the first comic I bought. Hal is definitely my favorite GL!
I first got introduced to Hal in old Justice League of America cartoon (its a 1967 cartoon but I saw it in the 70s, along The New Adventures of Superman, Batman and Robin and Aquaman).
I personally think Hal is the best GL. I have been a fan since I was a kid in the 70's and 80's. one of the biggest Saturday morning cartoon was the Super Friends. all the kids would pick a hero and we would play Super Friends and the only one I would play as was Hal Jordan Green Lantern. The next GL I like is Kyle, then Guy then maybe the two new ones. I have always dislike John and the reason is he is boring. Everyone else has a personality it might be good or bad but they have one. John is in my opinion boring or too stoic. I know a lot of people like him but not me. Hal is interesting in that he is a seasoned hero but he also has times that he messes up. Unlike other heroes (Superman/Batman) he is not shown to be perfect.
John was once aggressive and short tempered but after he blew up a planet, he grew up and became more responsible. He is not boring. He just takes his job very seriously. He once lead the GL corps and makes many tough decisions for the group. Of more people read his stories they could see that he is not boring!
Emerald Dawn II was also a great book...it is Hal dealing with Sinestro and learning from Sinestro the first time. Starts with Hal serving the 90 days in jail etc
Funny enough I watched the Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern movie earlier this afternoon; The extended directors cut ... and Reynolds’ performance is still not that bad; however Parallax and his weird testicle head to invoke he has greater intelligence, is still just as awful as ever... I mean; it is was it is, right?... Lol Ps: i totally forgot that Taika Waititi had a small role in this movie.
Idk if it’s cause I live in America and ik drunk driving is bad but it’s not a huge deal imo that a hero was drunk driving before he was a hero idk maybe I’m weird
That's a good question: who had the first socially conscious comic books? Let me read a whole bunch more Golden Age stuff and maybe I can find something.
Does it help you guys more for us to watch your stuff on youtube over and over or on sound cloud or iTunes over and over? If we listen to a playlist of all your podcasts regularly jw so I know which one to use to benefit you guys the most
Thank you!! I’ll be listening through there then to help sometimes I go to bed with you guys on so it should help, i’ll try to get around to doing a review soon too
For me the introduction of Kyle Reyner in Superman: The Animated Series, The Green Lantern Corps Anthology film, Green Lantern First Flight and the extended cut of Green Lantern (2011) are my favorite storylines for the Green Lantern mythology.
Christian Perez I kinda agree. All Johns really needed to do is revive some lanterns and give john and guy there rings and things would've been the same

Lester Medina agreed. She's hating on Hal and they're saying "too much Hal" but they're completely wrong.
Lester Medina Except most of those storylines have really nothing to do with Hal Jordan himself.
That DC Guy if anything, there’s not enough Hal for me
Lester Medina Amen!
Green Lantern Earth One was soo DOPE!!!!!!!
The RED Samurai spoiler alert it's dope
Thanks for this. Hal has not only been my favorite Green Lantern buy my character in all of comicdom.

John is really good on the early 2000s Justice League show but that’s pretty much the only reason a lot of people like him
Hey Jason! Was just curious, which DCEU is your favorite so far? Can't wait to watch this video! Keep it up!
Hal is just so fun to read..... I've really enjoyed Hal Jordan Corps Rebirth run!
Emerald Dawn II was also a great book...it is Hal dealing with Sinestro and learning from Sinestro the first time. Starts with Hal serving the 90 days in jail etc

Jason will you do a geek history lesson on Shazam aka Captain Marvel?
This is in no way related to the podcast, but it was just announced that Constantine will be a series regular for Legends of Tomorrow Season 4!
Very cool listening to this one. I also started with Kyle.
Can't wait for the Kyle Rayner one!
We did one a loooooooong time ago. Go to Google my friend.

Why hasn’t there been a Green Lantern tv series on cw?
Jim Slowes yes we need a live action green lantern tv appearance
Comics should not always involve social issues

There was no reason to bring him back from the dead.
