    It’s definitely one of the best in class. Cvt isn’t really something to worry about because I’ve driven the shit out of mine for 93k miles and never had any hiccups. You get good power with that CVT which makes it a fun driving experience. (In Ds mode They also know when you’re roadraging or racing because it’ll hold my rpms ready for more when a bitch keeps f’n with me) They’re smooth af over bumps, quiet as luxury vehicles, and spacious.

    HAD the 2020 SR.. TRADED UP to THIS! What a difference (in my opinion) in handling and ride quality. 1 WORD.. SMOOTHER. If, you don't prefer, low profile wheels/ tires, and like the casual driving experience, THIS is BETTER. HOWEVER, I do miss those paddle shifters for 'sport mode'.

      @@2004cyrus I prefer gears as well but I've had six altima's in my family and none of the transmissions have gone out! But everybody else trying to stay away from cvts they usually have transmission issues. Like my uncle's Camry like my cousins Durango my other uncle's charger. My sister's BMW has oil leaks and her engine is going bad you can literally hear it. I'm going to be honest with you almost every other car on the road is inferior to a Nissan!

      @@MariaSantos-im6zc That's actually not true! A bunch of Honda owners and Camry owners love to say that! But Nissan has always lasted longer than both of those car brands. And still to this day they do! I literally just got rid of my 2010 Nissan Altima with 300,000 mi and no issues with the CVT or the engine! Nissan has gotten a bad reputation because a whole bunch of people literally never change their oil and always drive the cars off cliff and then tell you the car sucks! Nissans are bulletproof they always were and they still are! If you killed your Nissan it's because you're a terrible owner!

    I'm mad they cut the VC Turbo from the Platinum models ...
    My thing is they should cut the SV and SL and keep the S, SR with the VC Turbo, and Platinum with both the VC Turbo and 2.5 engine..
    It makes no sense having the SV and SL
    Or ...
    They can go back to having the S, cut the SR and only leave the Platinum with the VC Turbo ..

    • @civildk9077

      my opinion. IF, you've ever been on the hwy, at night, with your family loaded up and it's raining or possibly 'sketchy' traction, the AWD and proper speed for road conditions, IS the safest bet! I drove across the seemingly endless bridges on I-10 in LA in heavy rain and easily felt comfortable with all wheel drive at night. NOT a set of bridges you wanna jump the rails on.

      I drive a 2010 Versa sedan automatic “non cvt”, and I have 215,000 miles. It’s the original engine and transmission. It’s had regular maintenance since I’ve had it. The meat and potatoes of it is doing great; no transmission problems.

    • @blackwhirlwind1245
      @blackwhirlwind1245 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      2013 rogue previous owner here, it did have transmission issue. When I drove at highway at one point, it did not accelerate beyond 70MPH even if I floor it all the way. I went to dealership, and they told me it cost $1400, it usually cost $3500 to replace the transmission, but they said Nissan is willing to cover 60% of the cost since The rogue is just a little over the 60000 miles warranty. later I traded it for 2019 Honda Pilot. I didn’t want CRV because of oil dilution and CVT, Pilot has a reliable 6 speed transmission and naturally aspirated engine.

    Try one of the worst AWD sedans. I’ve driven a few of this new generation Altima and I can say they still feel like a rental lot car. The powertrain is horrible, they feel lightweight and cheap, they’re noisy, the interior is about as bland as it can be, reliability will likely continue to be subpar and resale value will continue to be lower then it’s competition. If you need an all-wheel drive sedan, go buy a Subaru or Camry.

    • @TinoMiller
      @TinoMiller 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I do t know what Altima you driven (probably the S) but my Platinum is feels better than the 2021 Camry I drove .. The Camry feels too heavy, renal like and the cheap plastics .. Like the car is really not stylish and the road noise entering the cabin at high speeds is outrageous ...
      Yeah the Camry is also not really good at gas milage in real world review ..

      After driving this car and testing the Camry and the Honda the Altima is way better than those cars! I know you left this comment 3 years ago but honestly this comment did not age well! In reality that Camry kind of sucks and on paper it may say it's faster than the Altima but every Camry I have raced has literally gotten smoked by my 2021 Altima 4-cylinder! At this point I'm starting to think Nissan gets the same hate as Google on this website! A bunch of people that have never sent in it have never driven it but want to tell you how bad it drives and feels! This car looks better than any Camry you sound silly!

    • @tigerfan8244
      @tigerfan8244 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TaureanSmoke I’ve been in the car business for 17 years. I’ve been a seller and a buyer for dealerships and auctions. I’ve driven every generation of Altima except the 1st generation. I owned a 2004 and a 2008. Both were horrible. The metal on the 2004 was so thin, it would dent just by looking at it. The entire heating system had to be replaced on my 2008 with less then 13k miles on it. The transmission never worked right. Didn’t keep the car 6 months. The only thing going for them is that you can get them cheaper than the competition. There is a reason for that. Nissan is selling brand new S versions for $21,000 after discounts to move them. Wonder why? Best of luck to you.
