In actual mythology, Hades' realm, Underworld, consisted of 3 areas: Tartarus (basically hell and prison for Titans), Elysium (paradise for heroes, kings and basically Greek Valhalla), and Asphodel (situated in the middle, being a quiet, calm and pretty tranquil realm for simple and decent people). In no ways did Hades actually resent his post, in fact, he actually appreciated it and did like his job. Out of all the Gods, he actually had a pretty much good life: loving wife, ever expanding realm and populace, all of the riches in the world, basically being the strongest of Cronus' sons. Heck, I even heard a version where Persephone being allowed to go back to Olympus was actually his idea, for sake of Demeter and mortals, meaning he is selfless like that.
Really wish we could get a media where Hades is actually portrayed as not any type of villain, but more of supportive neutral or positive person.

That's basically my headcanon of Hades...he's the older brother, more responsible and to some extent normal of the Olympians but he constantly has to put up with the shit that his siblings do/do and it's better not to talk about his nephews and nieces because why? Most of these tend to mess with the underworld in some way and make its job more difficult (except Hephaestus, he is technically the most normal and calm of them).
The only good things that happened to Hades were being king of the underworld and Persephone.

Jajajjajajaja you guys are funny Zeus afraid of Hades ??? They get well along and besides Hades has more affinity with the underworld than the heaven and besides people just try to make Zeus like a Tyrant or some kind of villain the only bad things he has done was eating his first wife and having affairs but to be honest those affairs maybe more Aphrodite’s fault or Eros so yeah he is not that bad the other myths were he portray as the bad one is just because in a certain POV it can be considered bad but if you think carefully where kind of the right choice.

Hades was by far the strongest and most powerful because no matter who died and where they went, they always went to his realm. You dont die and go to Olympus. You die and go to hades. You arent hanging out and chillin with the gods. Your ass is chillin (probably chillin as in getting cooked😂) in Hades. Bro doesnt even need to go to the mortal realm just to meet famous people. They are going to meet HIM🤣plus, hades basically had control or dominance over all the creepy demonic shit so it isnt like there was anything you could threaten him with unless you are an extremely powerful god or titan

Well unlike the rest of the adaptation atleast they didn't make this Hades evil. But still. Hades in the myths doesn't care about being in the underworld because the underworld isn't hell.
Hades rules over the dead, be they good or evil. He has access to both heaven and hell. He doesn't have to deal with the torture of the dead 24/7 because he doesn't have to be there.
Persephone liked the underworld more than she did Olympus. And why wouldn't she? Elysium is literally heaven but without all the damn drama of the other gods.

Zeus didn’t know it was hera cheat thought he was given the story of the sky. It was Hera. Who cheated plus Zeus is not the real villain when he’s literally the guidance of our main protagonist of the entire entire series when you say, Zeus never loves, let’s see he loves his children minus Aries. He loves Hera he doesn’t always take what he wants just basically making this crap up as you go. You’re mistaking Zeus as a bad guy would literally who’s been a guide for every children of his and also Hades killed more people than he did besides, in the end of this season, Hades dooms everyone in the end

I dislike how they did Hades but everything else was fine. I sort off expected them to make Hades what Poseidon and Gaia were. He should have been like his Mythic Counterpart who was a Family Man through and through and tried everything possible to prevent bloodshed and was a Voice of a Reason and if he couldn’t prevent a Fight he always stayed Neutral.
The without a doubt worst part was when they made Hades so miserable and a simp that he allowed Demeter to unleash Covid-19 on Hellas instead of stopping her. Mythology Hades would have gutted Demeter right then and there.
They should have made Poseidon the Villain who was after the Eleusinan Stone cuz In Myths Hades chose the Underworld right after the Titans were dethroned and was totally fine there it was Poseidon who was always causing Havoc and Trouble and didn’t give two fucks about Mortals or the fragile Balance of Powers, was envious and tried to dethrone Zeus multiple times. Hades actually always had Zeus back and even helped him escape from a trap Hera, Poseidon and Athene laid in the Ilad.
The best depiction of Hades ironically came from AC Odyssey where he was a wise Ruler but also a sadistic Master Manipulator who took great pleasure in hearing the Guilty and Useless tortured in Tartarus or being stuck in Asphodel and the Fields of punishment cuz that’s how he is described in Myth. He rules the Four Realms of the Underworld harsh but he also ain’t merciless and always gives Mortals chances to redeem themselves by working for him and adding him guide Souls to their eternal peace while taking joy in seeing evil Souls being tortured. Plus like his Mythical Counterpart he is a fuckin GAMBLER!!!!!!!!!
I really hoped that they would have broken the trend of making Hades the bad guy and made him instead the Voice of Reason that Hera was in Season 2 telling the other Gods that fighting would get them nowhere. Instead of manipulating, he should have been actually trying redeem Seraphim if only for his own amusement till Poseidon or Ares managed to bride Seraphim to support them all while Hades was watching everything and making Bets with either Gaia on who screws up first and while betting they discuss Mortals and Gods alike all while watching Heron and Seraphim. The Final Episode before Gaia crushed the Stone should have instead shown that the Stone everyone was fighting over was actually fake and shattered after Heron spends the decoys power. Then Hades appears alongside Gaia revealing that he had the actual Stone the entire Time after Gaia gave it to him to keep it safe, cuz she knew that some of the Gods would try dirty tricks. Hades then gives it to Heron while tossing a Drachma coin 🪙 to Gaia saying „It appears you win the bet Grandmother.” It’s then where Heron gets backstabbed by Ares or better yet Poseidon and all hell breaks loose and the Series ends with Typhon being unleashed, the Gods running away in fear all while Hades escorts Heron’s and Seraphim’s souls to the Underworld to the Isle of Blessed uniting the two Brothers with their mother together for the First Time saying that they can rest now.

I still think this is a better representation of Hades in media though. About the thing with Demeter, she already unleashed the spores prior to telling Hades so there really wasn’t much he could’ve done, killing or paralyzing her probably wouldn’t have stopped the spores. He did advocate against it, showing his empathy and reasoning.
And with how he acted as a makeshift father figure to Seraphim was also good as well. Even when Seraphim couldn’t keep his promise, Hades still helped him and held up his promise to Seraphim like a father would.
I wish he wasn’t the antagonist in S2 though, however most of his actions were understandable given the circumstances he faced
