i have a early ford axle like yours but its an aftermarket custom tubular style axle im using the same aftermarket spindles and king puns like yours but i have no hole for the lock bolt what would you sedgiest i do drill one maby? any advice would be much appreciated

I believe you meant zerk fitting goes towards the front.

I usually put one of the thin shims on top. I noticed you did not. Probably doesn't make any difference.

Had the same issue had a machine shooe.bore a hole in the axle for the retainer pin
