I've tried those plastic king pin bushings, they still leave the front end too sloppy. The steel backed copper bushings are the only way to go, they have to be reamed to size though

I can’t believe you did not remove four bolts and hang the backing plate from the spring. Then you do not have to work around the darn thing.

Movotech MS40918 was the king pin kit. also, on a 65 f100, you have to reuse the old king pin because the notch is lower on the pin
not sure if it made a difference but this truck was a 66 and i tried 3 different kits none of them worked
