Thank you everyone for your wonderful & positive comments, I truly appreciate it! So happy to see so many people who love Burlington!
amazing video. Do I have your permission to create GIFs from this video?
How exciting to watch such a first class travelogue and recognize so many points - even my own stomping’ ground - Ireland Park?
Hi Donna, thanks for watching! Unfortunately no Ireland Park in this one.
I love our City even more. Thanks.
Beautiful! The place, your work is just beautiful…
I'm originally from Hamilton, though now live in Vienna, Austria.
This video is gorgeous and the music to it is exquisite!
Thanks for these few precious moments.
I grew up in Burlington and have seen a lot of the scenes in the video but watching this video makes it flow !
This is incredible video of my home town 😃
I visited Burlington for many years from 1994 until 2017.
My heart breaks knowing I will never see this beautiful place again!

Thank you for this! I lived in Burlington for 7 years back in the 80's and always dream about returning (I'm an American--makes things trickier). Such a beautiful city--thank you for the special perspective.
+Eleanor White We await your return Eleanor, thanks so much for watching, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! :)
Nice job Kien! Really showcases how much green space and parks we have in this city.

Great job Kien.
I loved this. I grew up in Burlington and still kind of live here (I go to college in Niagara) and it was really nice to see all the places I've been to over the years, especially Lowville Park and the countryside near Mount Nemo :)
+Jenny Reed Glad you recognized most of the locations Jenny! Thanks for watching :)
best video ever of burlington
Thank you! This is my hometown and I live 4000km away now. I miss it and this video was beautiful.
Great video - put to great music. Moving to Burlington from Mississauga was one of the smartest moves my wife and I ever made. I recognized all the locations - some our favourites including the boardwalk where we can feed the birds by hand at RBG. Again, well done.
Awesome vid man! I'm from Burlington, you make it look SOO beautiful. Just subed can't wait to see more
Fabulous. Thanks
this makes me wanna get a drone and show off my city, this was beautiful :D
I love living in Burlington. My favorite part out of many things about this small city is fishing steelhead in hidden valley.
Simply breath taking. So proud of my city and how beautiful it is if you just simply open your eyes and take a step outside. People are so focused on social media and adding buildings, condominiums, tourist attractions and other sight seeing views that no body really realizes the true beauty of our city. I'm sad to say I didn't even know how beautiful Burlington was until watching this. It really changes your views on something you've known nothing about all this time. Beautiful video. Thank you SO much for posting this.
What song did you use as well? It's a beautiul fit!
Hello Raelyn, the song I used was "What once was" by the very talented James Everingham. Here is his website: www.jameseveringham.com/
I miss Burlington even more now
That was an awesome short film... I was thinking to myself this summer that cootes paradise would be a great location for some aerial shots- but I didn't think they would look this good. Excellent work my friend.
This is such a nice video! great job.
+Szabi Nagy Thanks Szabi :)
Locations I see: the beach, Valley-Inn road looking out on the bay, hendrie valley, a horse farm on guelph line maybe?, LaSalle Park, Greenwood Cemetery, one of the windows to the lake, 1455 lakeshore road looking down on locust street, spencer smith park, the lift bridge pier, and Hidden Valley. And that barely scratches the surface of all the beautiful things to see and do in Burlington :). Great video
Nelson High School track, Corpus Christie football field, Sioux Lookout Park, Coots Paradise Conservation Area and Lowville park to add a few more :)
Nailed it(However, horses were up Appleby). Theres is definitely A TON more to see in Burlington thats for sure!
Well done! Thanks
Great video Kien rely enjoy you work great job love to see the nature an d country also ,Burlington is beautiful
Thank you :) Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice Video! Well done.... Greetings from Austria.. Europe...
Very nice!
I knew these locations long before the video but god damn, you capture them more perfectly than even my eyes could. Sad that people that live here don't take much time to really explore what we've got.
Thank you sir!
wow it is beautiful
really amazing, you should send a link to the City of Burlington. Well done!
THANK YOU
+FRED KOCH Thanks for watching Fred :)
do you ar a burlingtoner i live hir
+FRED KOCH Yes sir!
Very well done Sir. :) Cheers
The footage is stunning and gives a great deal of respect to our city. But, it's also worth noting that this type of video helps to illustrate some key challenges that are rising to the surface in the general RC community. Flying above streets, over people, and through public parks makes for dramatic video... but it also dismisses many of the safety rules set forth by Transport Canada and breaks laws related to the use of motorized vehicles (including RC). On one hand, I wish more people would take the initiative to produce art like this. On the other, I worry that an ever increasing number of drones will continue to flirt with the rules related to safe flying....which, unfortunately, can lead to the harsh restrictions already initiated in the US.
Thank you for touching on this! Thats one of the reasons why I decided to post this video, to show that drones can be used for other things, they have been getting a lot of bad media as of late. I definitely took precautions before flying my drone to create this piece, I also had to cancel a bunch of my ideas because I felt it would have been too risky/dangerous to do.
beautiful city
wow, I've never been in this place, but it looks awesome. how is it in the winter time? Wish I could go there on time in my life.
Nice!
+Strikeslip Thank you very much :)
Awesome
good work
burlington beach so many memories
I miss it there, my home.
-Zach
you'll have to do a winter version...better yet all 4 seasons!
Vernelle I think that is Cherryhill Gates at The Royal Botanical Gardens. 50 years ago I use to roam through there.
So beautiful, love it! I recognize most spots, but where is this long wooden walkway??
hendrie valley. Park at Valley Inn road or on Unsworth north of plains and walk in. You'll see signs in the shoulder parking areas. You can also park at cherry hill gate (and pay to go in if you park there)
Thx so much!
I wanted to see what would show up if i googled my city and bamb this amazing video i have been to half of those places just amazing i love it
P.S corpus sucks Nelson all the way
This is the Burlington I know. There is a hidden jewel lookout deck behind the Bayview Mausoleum beyond the memorial walls with a tower that chimes. I waited to see it.
1:40. I love that spot.
Great video Kien. Thanks for creating this I'd love to share this with my clients as well, is that ok?. Burlington is such a great destination to consider for a move.
Thanks, please do!
Nice capture video bro but next time goes for Downtown
nice one
On the pier the hand print thing there one of the 7 is from my hand the one that says Charlie
seen it all but have u seen Kernscliff park? I personally think you should have included it. Have a great day :D
Where are these locations, at 0:30, 0:52 and 2:41
Absolutely Beautiful! Has Burlington hired you yet for media and relations - city promotion!!!
I wish! That would be a dream!! Thanks for watching :)
Good job Kien! love the shots, love the story telling... nice man.
question, how did you get those aerial shots? drone?
Hello barsenovic, thanks for the kind words. I used a DJI Phantom 2. Yes you are right, that is a drone! Shot %100 with it!
Stunning video!! May I share this with clients considering a move to our city? Also, what type of rig did you use for filming the video? I've been considering a DJI Phantom drone for my GoPro. Would love some advice.
Please share away Jeff! I used a DJI Phantom 2 with a GoPro 3 paired with the h3-3d gimbal to keep things a bit more stabilized!
Where is the long wooden pathway at 0:58 and the bridge over the water at 3:00?
This was all shot on the Hero3? Looks really good.
Did you do any shots by hand and if so did you use a stabilizer?
Hi Alex,
This was shot 100% on the Hero3 and Phantom 2. At the time I had the h3-3d stabilizing gimbal.
Cheers!
Hi Kien, just curious about regulations here in burlington, Did you have to get permission or anything?
+Mike Mcmillan Hi Mike, yes I had to for certain areas. Definitely visit Transport Canada's website as they have come out with new regulations for both commercial and personal use.
thanks for the response :)
where's the bridge at the end of the video?
Hi Filma, that bridge is in La Salle Park :)
what type of drone were you using?
He's using the Obama drone
Great and Beautiful videography, Kien. Noah Godin gave me your name and I'd like to meet with you to discuss our organization, the Burlington Black History Awareness Committee which is in the process of changing it's name to include all of Halton. Continued successes.
2:57 Please, where is this bridge?!
it's at the lasalle park marina!
What Miranda said!
Thank you!
I reside in Burlington as well, this is stunning. I am a writer and currently writing my second novel, most taking part within this place, this city we grew up in. Follow me on Instagram @joestraynge to read a fellow locals words !
