I just bought mine today, the plug-in hybrid version. In two days I can pick it up from my Mercedes dealership and I honestly can’t wait. Masterpiece.
Built quality is quite poor. Don't know if that's the case for UK shipped cars or all. Picked my car a month ago. Wooden panels are sticking out and have a visible crack as they are not attached properly. There is a squeaky noise at the drivers side of the panel specially on a hot day. Also some of the plastic looks cheap. Never had such issues before
The wood panels stick out a bit in all models since the ambient light is behind them, nothing to worry about in this case. But others have also complained about the squeaky noise, I hope Mercedes will fix this issue soon. Other than that, this car is brilliant.
+Firas Moukhadder I am talking about top part of the wooden panel on a front left (passenger) door. No light there at the top. There is a crack only on that particular side. Not deadly but really unpleasant since you pay for Mercedes and expect ultra high built quality.
+vasya vasili If it came with that crack or the crack happened later on, then I am afraid it's just bad luck since no other W213 E-class owner I know has complained about this. Enjoy your car otherwise!
+Firas Moukhadder I've noticed it few days after I've collected car. Not saying it is "a well known" problem of new e class. Just stating the point that built quality has been unpleasant. I've owned 2 other cars from German competitor of MB and never had such a bad experience before.

Bose Soundsystem in the Opel Insignia is better.
Just a little long-term customer feedback, 20 plus new MB's since 1987. When I literally lose count of the caveats it defeats my trust in using features thereby investing into them.
Here's what I want, if we're not paying attention I don't want to rear end a car, back into another car or worst a person in a parking lot, and I don't want to hit someone in our blind spot changing lanes. We have that indicator lane feature and it's okay, but not infallible.
Monday we're ordering either a every option GLE350 4matic or AMG GLE43 and now I'm up in the air about Premium Package 3. The reasons are both this video and the fact we can find a Package 3 GLE in our entire state. Simular issues when she considered a new E Class from her 2014.
Further, last night I watched the CES 2017 with Nvidia which indicates a new hardware 'AI' in 2018's.

The presentation is good but improvement can still be made. For example, the way she presented is not natural enough. Then a comfortable or fun music could be combined with the background since Benz represents a fun and enjoyable riding experience. However, the information is very well delivered to the viewer. Overall, in my opinion, I would say 7/10 in video experience. Well done! Hope to see more video in the future. Good marketing attracts buyers as always.

From 1992 to now, Mercedes cars suffers from transmission and electrical problems.
Lately, the s class from 2014 suffer from AC and break huge problems.
Mercedes-Benz is not more than a great history and finished.

Picking up a very fresh second hand one next week and really enjoyed this presentation. I found the parking demo fascinating as I know parkpilot has been around for a while. This has given me the confidence perhaps to actually try and use it ! Great presenter as well.

LOL E-Class now looks like something between a C and S Class and that SUCKS BECAUSE ITS LAST IN LINE. This design language 2013 S-Class W222, 2015 W205 C-Class... its 2017 SO THE BODY IS 4 YEARS OLD LOOKING and with sad very sad 4 cylinder.

During the Interior section, I noticed that the steering wheel (without the flat bottom part (and hence meaning that at least the interior is 'SE Line)), had the metal shift-paddles. Currently I can't find a way to spec the metal shift paddles along with an SE interior. How can I do this?

It is quite a nice car but also pricey, I estimate the cost of the model from this video at or around 80k euros at least... almost double compared with the base price for an E200.

@mercedes-benz Well 30 km are nothing. Why do you not make a car like Tesla make. I mean the Tesla model s P100D has 613 km of range. This is what the future needs and not a hybrid with only 30km. Mercedes are really very good cars but they dont drive electric(30km not enough). Make something for the environment and gas will end soon.

I ordered an E350, can`t wait to have this car. It will be a timeless classic. Nappa leather, Command Online, Air Body Control, AMG Line, Night Package, Burmester Sound System, Keyless go, Air Balance Package, Drivers Assist and all the other things I cant remember. For the first time in my life I went all out on the options list.
Only thing that could be improved is that the center console has to be glossy black and can not be customized. Other then that, well done Mercedes.

TheJastheace Haven't thought about the safety features abuse, but the convenience features with strangers around is a concern. Some can be disabled though.

is the e300 has air suspension ?
I have a w213 my 2020 and she's got agility control suspension with selective dampers. When I change driving modes, I can see engine, steering and esp changes displayed on infotainment screen but not the suspension as in airmatic. So can I say my car would not firm up suspension upon switching to sports mode or sport+? Thank you.
Thank you for your question! By switching from Sport to Sport+, the suspension would normally adjust to the chosen drive program. You can select all the different options via the DYNAMIC SELECT on the widescreen or on the touchpad. For more details, we advise you to contact one of our local dealers.
